Thanks a million for the shout out. Love the content and your perspective on our Lions. Funny you Miles Masik (sp). I was at that pre season game when he made incredible catch. A week later I sat next to him on a plane. Super cool guy. Couldn’t have been nicer. Appreciate the show Matt. Keep doing what ya doing 😊
Nobody's talking about super bowl or bust you need to check in on your fellow TH-camrs because it's all Kool-Aid and very little critical thinking. What you said about playing one game at a time being focused and being ready is exactly spot on. If we don't go into every game laser focused even with all the talent on this team we could end up 9 and 8 because everybody got better and everybody's gunning for us.
In 2 yrs counting playoffs and tds called back jamo has like 39 touches and 9 tds 3 where called back tho thats damn near 25% of touches have gone fo tds which is pretty amazing to me i know that rate will go down but when he gets the ball he is a threat!!!!!
We must understand that at this part of the season the ONLY THING the Lions are concerned with is testing their players to fill out their season roster. The Lions aren't focused on winning pre-season games. Just testing and evaluating those good enough to be part of the active season roster. So these pre-season games are important ONLY as an evalution tool because, if done right, these evaluations will directly relate if and how far the Lions go in the real football season, which is the playoff season.
Absolutely so. How many NFL starters will be lost for a number of games or the whole year because they were played in the preseason? Too many. Way too many. The Lions very wisely will not make that mistake. Plus, with no one but back ups and those trying to make the team in these games, there will be more film of these secondary players to evaluate.
Definitely a bit of a Waymo hater, but I don’t blame you. His film the last ~8 weeks last year was much improved though. He was making tough catches over the middle of the field, which is Goff’s bread and butter. So I already feel like he’s shown more production, but the season stats were still unimpressive
Brad doesn't add older holdout players who want a new contract coming off of injury. The obsession with trades is lame, Matt. Spend more time talking about Isiah Williams, than some retread on his way to retirement,
That's gonna be the downfall all this he doesn't fit the culture crap! I seen New England do it time and time again they made the player fit the culture if your cultures that good
I. Williams can run routes and good yards after the catch. I feel this dude can not just make the roster but be an impact. Hes slow. Thats all i ever see people say
@@wishinifishin5172 Tight ends always have less shear speed than wide outs and slot receivers and yet they get open. They do because getting open is all about the receiver hiding the intended pass route from the coverage and then, when the time is right, quickly making separation.
If you want to find out whether we need to look to other players or not, take the ones we have and play them with the first team then you have an idea of what you've got. It's absolute nonsense trying to evaluate talent if you're only going to put them out there with guys who are going to be working for UPS next month. People keep speculating do we need another QB or a wide receiver 3 put the guys we have in the game situation with the players they'll be out there with and you can find out if you've got something or not. This level of stupidity is mind numbing, if you have a prospect in baseball you bring him up to the majors to find out if he can play at that level because until you do you don't know if he's a big fish in a small pond or a player we need to do the same thing with hooker, Isaiah Williams, darice fountain, and some others. So you want to bring in hendon hooker with those bums that couldn't block for him last week and you're going to evaluate whether he's our backup quarterback, that might be the dumbest thing I've heard. Thrown to the dogs and then spend another week speculating.
You say you love all the Lions fans and listeners. I assume by several of your comments you don’t love us MAGA Lions fans or should I say Anti Socialist tired of high price gas and groceries broke Lions Fans.

Thanks for taking my question Matt! Great answer
Thanks AT!

Good call on Micah Parsons as good as we hope these young DBS are we need that kind of pressure to ensure we don't look like we did last year.
I actually like this take on playing Hooker against the first team. Didn't even consider that really.
I agree , keep an eye on Isaiah Williams. This one’s going to be good.
Good show matt

I caught him in practice and he looked really good.
Thanks for the Tigers score spoiler Matt 😢
the game I think is only on peacock so I will not see it; do any of you know that is right or wrong?
You gotta put Bubba Baker in there with them guys
Go lions hey
They have decent depth but...
well even just getting hendon the experience of facing one of the best defenses from last year would be really good.
Ol jack Burton says you absolutely right!

Opposing cities hate that the Lions aren’t a doormat anymore.
If Hooker and Starters from Chiefs are in, then our starting offense should be in too
If they could just stay healthy for a change!!
Just because it was announced that the starters are going to play a half doesn't mean 100% of the starters will play IE Kelsey and mahomes
Kelce*
I dont want goff playing, maybe getting hurt
Lions won w/o playing a single starter!
I enjoy your content but you definitely come across as a Jamo hater! A Hendon Hooker hater as well.
Facts it's more than him half our fan base so scared hendon hooker will be good it's pathetic!
He has more passion for himself and his advertisers then the Lions😂

So then people can cry about hooker not doing well with second and third string players going up against starters!
KC always play their starters, nothing new
Lol. Chiefs arent giving their best and neither are the Lions.
If Hendon lights it up against KC, it's time for him to start full-time.
You gonna get a lot of cry babies saying otherwise though! 😂
No , Goff is the guy . Maybe after this year he’s trade bait . He’s only a few years younger than Goff .
@@coreypatterson1007 I like stirring up the pot sometimes LOL.
Oh come on now😂
Ha, I'd love nothing more than Hendon blowing it out tomorrow.
