Facebook aside, and overall quality aside, I'm just glad there is an "all-in-one" package that is very affordable in terms of it's competition to allow VR to reach more people and show the amazing capabilities of not only video games, but technology as well.

Ordered a Quest 2 today, in large part due to your channel. It's my first VR headset, and I'm so stoked for both standalone and Steam VR games. I think it's safe to say that there will be tons of people just like me this generation. I think shit's about to explode :)

As someone who is a vr lover, I love my quest a lot. Watching this video openes my eyes quite a bit. I won't switch from my current setup but this is great to send to people who are considering purchasing a vr headset!

How long did you good players take to get to that skill level?
That was OST Ghost, which is significantly easier than the old modchart other than annoying left handed mapping.

I got this for Christmas and I have to say I love to use this
It is very easy to use and to setup and they have an update where u can log in with ur Oculus Account. It is very portable and does not add alot of weight to your head. I would definitely recommend buying this if you want to play this for casual terms. Or If your new to Vr

the original rift is a very good headset and it was my first headset so for me the quest 2 is a huge upgrade

That's a fair assessment for someone who isn't actually active in the beatsaber community but if you want to see truly insane stuff go check out channels cashhoutsaint, person or taichi or if you want to see a wide range of players around the top 100 level check out the cube community channel for a bunch of insane plays
The beat saber community will gladly welcome most people with open arms

I was super surprised when I actually got a quest for my 16th birthday last spring (definitely don’t have the money to buy one myself). Beat saber was pretty much the only thing that kept me from dying of boredom over the summer. I hope you have a ton of fun when you get a headset of your own!

Hey, as someone who has to use that 3rd fov setting, can you tell me how the quest 2's fov compares to the og Vive? Pistol Whip is what I play most and I'm already a little annoyed with that fov.
Yeah, I´d like to know more about this, too. Especially how much FOV we have to sacrifice due to the visible edges of the lcd panel.

Great video! One small thing; you should blur the outer parts of the VR gameplay capture scene (where you have the single eye view in the center and then again stretched over the background) so it's not as distracting. Looking forward to your review of the Elite and Elite+Battery strap.
If they sent these to people other than oasis that really means they care about the future of VR. And that they didn’t tie him down with a sponsorship deal like stadia did with Austin Evan’s adds more to that. I’m glad they let him speak his mind and they’re looking to improve the next time around.

I hope they will have another model of the quest 2 like a “pro” version that brings back OLED panels and bigger battery. The quest 2 seems more like a cost saving measure rather than a complete upgrade.
I would definately go ahead and buy a Pro version for 100 more as soon as it would be possible for me if it came with 2 separate OLED screens with the same per eye res and an IPD slider like the one the Q1 has. I can live with the extra battery of the Elite strap, and it'd be more comfortable than the Q1 anyway. As for audio, I'd just bolt my VR Ears onto that strap when I have them.
I don't think it will happen. Everyone is switching to LCD due to the improvement in resolution and lower sde, it has its compromises with blacks but in most cases it ends up being superior
BM it’s a mix of both it is better than the original quest but there are many Compromises it’s still a very good headset at a cheap price and remember that oculus’s goal is to get 1 million people into VR

I would rather see a Rift S2. PC VR will always be the superior experience. They should be focusing on making PC-tethered VR wireless rather than sticking a whole computer inside the headset.

Been using the quest 2 for a weeks now. It's my first headset. All has been amazing. Half life Alyx runs flawlessly with the highest settings wirelessly. Other headsets seem pretty heavy and pricy. Some don't even have a wireless option, which should be a thing of the past. Only issue so far is some fogging up when playing beat saber for a while (I wear glasses in real life). I've setup a big fan, which helps a lot. Headset producers should def. think about adding a tiny headset fan, which in fpv flying (fatshark) is a given.

Apparently sidequest is going to get directly integrated so we'll no longer have to do Developer Mode shenanigans so that's pretty cool

Got mine few weeks ago. Got the 256gig model. I enjoyed it. And since I have Facebook account many years ago, is no problem setting up. And yes my only gripe is battery and the strap. And of course have to deal with both sleep and nausea issue. But I will adapt to it well. Thank you for the review
This is the best Quest 2 review I’ve seen so far. I’ve been wanting to buy one but it’s out of stock everywhere in my city. I thought maybe I could go with the Rift S instead but this kinda confirmed I still want the Quest 😬
