- Happy New Year All! Met up with my buddy Glen and decided to fish good ol' Chris' Pond. Nice steady bite and a limit before noon. Fish were nice and healthy. Little guys put up one heck of a fight. Met some new friends and caught up with some of the regulars. TIGHT LINES!

@@pokedad.fishesi just cannot get any bites on any powerbait there 😂 have tried long leaders,short lsaders,small weights,big weights,no weights,making it into a ball,worm form and nothin...i can only manage to get some bitea on jigs its so strange
@@ericorozco3464 That's pretty funny! Although some of my buddies who fish one bait and wait rod and jig with the other seem to have more success on their jigging rod. I'm trying to be more consistent with jigging this year. I used to be strictly bait and wait. Good luck out there brother!

Freddie brother! You're got a new Subscriber! 🤙🏽 When I first got there at my buddy was literally reeling up his first fish. The morning bite was pretty solid. That corner that we fish is a really good spot. I wouldn't call it a wide open bite, but it wasn't bad. People were catching here and there as the schools would swim by. SARL can definitely be a tough lake to fish at times. I've made many "DONTATIONS" to that lake. Haha

Oh nice! Hopefully you guys did well. I use 2 lbs test on my bait and wait and 4 lbs test of my jigging rod. Mainly power bait or mice tails for bait and wait. Colors depending on water and light conditions. 🤙🏼
Would you or do you eat the fish from there? Are personal kayaks, etc. Permitted? Do they offer any boat rentals? Thanks
I do eat the fish from here. Very tasty indeed. Only personal water crafts are float tubes in the big lake and catfish lake. They do offer boat and pontoon rentals in the main lake. 🤙🏼 Will be doing a basic guide video on the the lake soon.

Unfortunately you're supposed to keep all you catch. I've given fish to staff at the end of my day when I know my family or I won't be eating them.
Hey brotha so I got a GoPro 10 today to start recording my fishing trips , but I’ve heard the battery life ain’t good on em how do you use em throughout your day? Do you just carry extra batteries? I’m planning to mount the go pro on my head
Nice man! Battery life isn't the best. You can either buy extra batteries or some people have a portable battery charger and have that connected to the GoPro to constantly record. That's what I do for my steady camera on the ground. Only downside is you'll have a cord connected to your head mount.

@@franciscosaldivar6251 I like to have it running the whole time. It's not efficient since I have a lot of editing and video files to go through, but I like to catch all the action and even things that happen at random times. There is a Hindsight feature that some fisherman use that might be helpful if you don't want to record your entire fishing day.
