Yeah man, 21 guns was first introduced to me from the transformer revenge of the fallen credits, and it was the first time I ever discovered rock, probably 12 or 13 I was, then got addicted to greenday, and when time came, Queen, led Zeppelin, AcDc, Metallica, GnR, Etc etc etc, came to me, all thanks to greenday, it still remains as one of the best in my life

Would be very surprised if you haven't at least heard some of them before. If you're looking for other ideas as well, I suspect you'd really like "I miss 2003" by AS IT IS. It's an awesome modern pop-punk style callback to a lot of the music from the era that you're diving in to!
