I love that you showed the raw, real, reality of this type of work. I can't stand when people clean before showing this because it just sets a standard that is purely depressing for some people. I'm one of those people. My husband and I spent thousands of our own money, putting ourselves further into debt, to purchase and renovate to *_*basic living standards_** a place for my disabled mother and her boyfriend to live. I was tired of her apartment hopping in her condition. Unfortunately, when she passed away at 54 years young, the place was not salvageable so we had to tear it down. It's extremely heart breaking for many reasons but I really came here to reiterate that you *_never_* know what someone else is going through. Thank you again for sharing this raw footage. It truly means a lot to me. And congratulations on the renovation, it turned out amazing! 🥰
i appreciate your explanation for the 2 dressers in front of the bed! i was also a little suspicious about them, but after hearing your explanation/other ideas, i totally understand. You did your best to optimize the space and I felt you were extremely mindful about your parents and accessibility, which was really lovely to see. i’m an architect student and can somewhat relate to the struggles of out-of-field criticisms, so it’s great you were able to form an idea you’re satisfied about and actually execute it, quite accurately as well, regardless of what other people say :)

We put down peel & stick in our utility room. First we painted the floor with marine grade paint. That was in 2009. Not a single tile has come loose.
