Love this so much! There are so many helpful details here. I’ll definitely be rewatching and working to include in my life. Notes I took and wanted to share in case this is helpful to someone else- 1) Animal-Based Therapy 1:51 2) Forest Bathing 2:30 3) Wilderness-Based Therapy 3:27 4) Horticultural Therapy 4:08 5) Conservation 4:48 6) Sound Mapping 5:30
I have used ecotherapy techniques for years as a form of self-care, and call it “green care” myself 🤗 Thanks for spreading awareness about this wonderful practice! It’s served me for years 💚
One thing in my sustainability practice that I find so therapeutic and cathartic is I save the paper towels that we use at work to wash our hands. Of course I’ll like give it a second life if I need to clean up a mess or spill. But when I get a chance to compost it I usually accumulate a lot, so I tear like a box full by hand and I use it to lasagna compost. The repetition is meditative and it’s so nice to be actively healing the land too
Love this, not only do you practice sustainability but also interacting with the land and soil! It is so important that we continue to create a culture of reuse than linear.
Great video!! Loved the focus on therapies for treating eco-anxiety. I had created a video on transforming climate anxiety to climate action but didn’t focus on these therapies. Lmk if you’d like to collaborate on this topic in the future! Would love to connect
