It honestly feels amazing to hear about the irl events. Especially since everyone you mentioned is someone I've either played or recognized by now. I'm happy I found this community!
They all seem really fun, but I've got to main Ms. Marvel. I've loved her character ever since I played her in Marvel Champions, where she was my favorite hero, and I've enjoyed seeing her in more stuff since then. She's probably my second or third favorite Marvel character, so when I saw she was coming to my favorite game I was very excited! I agree with what you said about her likely being the best from a competitive perspective. She seems hyper-consistent (all of her combat cards are 3 copies), and her ability is generically very useful and has some nice synergy with her kit. Can't wait to receive my copy! (Also hooray for the first licensed foils in some time)
Looks like you will have a strong new fighter for competitive! Could be wrong if it's too map dependent, but I don't really think it is. Looking forward to testing it!
I really liked the part where you got into how initiative works for a bit. Man I wish there was like a general guide for movement, because I feel like my movements always suck😂

@joswar3173 I'm not really sure what you mean about Shift and schemes. But no, shift getting its effect to trigger has nothing to do with a scheme being used. Unless the scheme moved you.
37:54 I can see a scenario where this card would be a gamechanger. It's a perfect ranged attack punish. "Hey there Medusa, do you think you're safe shooting me across the entire zone, surrounded with a wall of harpies? Now I'm right next to you and it's my turn, wonder how that happened." Also it can be used as a get out of jail free card when you get caugnt with low hand.
@jfducusin7186 very matchup dependent. But most decks have feints and those can get punished with multiple cards. The only things that reliably stop the ability are 4v defenses.
I wonder if the squirrel sidekicks will have a special rule that states if they occupy the same space as a fighter it is considered adjacent. I have seen a similar ruling in another game where a token could occupy a space others could move onto or the token could move or be placed where enemies are. This would be a good ruling to help the 🐿️ stacking
Yo zero My wife and I did cloak and dagger vs little red, she was little red. I was being aggressive/offensive while keeping cards in hand well. She used little red's passive damage to destroy these guys. What a big mouth, never leave the path, once upon a time dealing damage outright picked apart these guys with their lower health total
Yeah that seems like a rough matchup for them as long as Red doesn't get caught without defenses. Seems fun though! I'm really looking forward to getting more C&D games in.

I get it can always proc the ability for another action and can do 3-4 damage on average, it's just half your HP, might be better to use as the boost for their card which allows them to boost.
I bought the game for my boyfriend today and he told me he was disappointed with cloak and dagger when he looked at the cards he told me that dagger should be ranged since in the comics she throws her daggers and one of her cards says barrage which is proof that she could of been made ranged what is your opinion? Because it says that dagger and cloak is melee for both of them on their main card. Me and him think it would of been much better if she was ranged and their dynamic would of been way better as well.
I don't know much about the characters from the comics, but I do know that ranged is very powerful in this game. So the reason they are both melee is likely a balance decision more than anything. Though it would have been really cool if one was ranged and the other was melee.
Predictions for king and country character abilities: Black panther: similar to Beowulf we would have 4 tokens that charge when he’s attacked or takes damage. He can then expend all 4 tokens to make any attack a 5. Winter soldier: another personality switch character similar to dark willow. Whenever triggered he enters his brainwashed state. Black widow: either some sort of espionage deck manipulation or poisoning of some kind where you have damage over time effects on the opposing fighter

Because squirrels being small fighters can go in the same space as the opponent! Then you can also have them in other adjacent spaces if there is more than 1 connecting. And also in the same space as Squirrel Girl. So plenty of opportunities to buff it up really high.
A pass is a scheme that does not include drawing cards or gaining actions. It helps to avoid drawing past the hand limit when trying to force the initiative onto your opponent and also helps stalling your draws to delay exhaustion.
They all need testing. But Ms Marvel seems the strongest at first glance. Probably weaker than Trex and Moon Knight overall, but those are really good fighters so that wouldn't make Ms Marvel weak.
Well she might suffer on disadvantage due to certain map choices. We will see. But although the Marvel fighters are strong they definitely don't overrun the meta currently.

Shift only bumps to a 5 if you started that turn in a different space when you use it. Your own turn and your opponent's turn are separate.

That's true but to me it's just like a fancier Hoax effect with a lower value. Not to say that's bad at all though.

Squirrel is weak against all meth characters. The raincoat needs to be tested. Miss Marvel looks weaker than both Tyrex and Moon Knight.
