Landmark in Atlanta is the same way I don't recommend them the service is bad and they lie to you and only fix things that they have to. I ended up paying outta pocket because they didn't fix anything while it was under warranty so they got me good.
That sucks that they did you like that. These dealers only care about money, I got a warranty as well so I've been on them about anything wrong. Most dealers are garbage now
You should have got a lawyer and reported them to the BBB.
This is why when you're buying a car this expensive you shoukd always get a pre purchase inspection before buying. Don't mean this as a dig at you but more of just a tip to everyone else.
From social media i already know not to buy a used dodge this video confirms it even more lol
That's all there is pretty much u less your gonna shell out 80k plus if your lucky on the low end.
It's such a joke too- bought a Hellcat new in 2015 for 59,5k- they're asking way too much now. Especially considering absolutely nothing differentiates the interior of a Hellcat from a lesser model- you can equip an SXT the same way. Essentially rental car caliber interiors for 80k plus today is a total joke. Just look at Dodges' total yearly sales now compared to 2015- down from nearly 400k vehicles to hopefully being able to crack 100k vehicles.. That's what happens when you only sell the same 2 cars for 15 years... Everybody that's wanted one got one- and has moved on. What turned me off of Dodge was the atrocious quality, always having the car at the dealer for repairs- and it was stolen twice at the end- had to learn the hard way that criminals specifically target these things.
My scatpack 2016 has 188k miles, I have replaced almost everything but I get everything oem.
This video reminds me that when you are considering buying a used Hellcat from a non-Dodge dealer, you should have the car looked over by your own mechanic, or have them agree to allow a Dodge dealer to inspect the car.
We had one do it. That's why they are fixing it all. 100%
@@reapersrt Thanks for your reply. I'll tell you one thing, you made an excellent purchase. You could choose to sell your Hellcat Charger tomorrow, and earn a pretty nice profit! It looks like that appreciation potential will continue to rise, as next year (unfortunately) is the last year of the legendary Hellcat.
Yeah, I wish dodge wasn't killing them off but Stelantis is messing them up bad
@@reapersrt Exactly. Stellantis does not have a freaking clue about American muscle. I am hopeful an American private equity group will swoop in and offer Stellanis a breakaway price for its Dodge division. Re-hire all the former SRT engineers, and do their own thing.
So I have a question guys. I always wanted a hellcat and now that I see one in the market I might be able to trade it in for my mustang 17 gt/cs. What do you guys think. Should I go check out the 2017 hellcat with 38k miles on it ?
really good video editing, keep up the good work brother hope you achieve your dream of doing TH-cam full time 🤞
Thank you so much! This comment means a lot to me! I will 100%
I agree with you 🔥
Thank you!!
Arizona boys ! Let’s go!!! God bless you and the fam! I’m here in Peoria!
Awesome! Looking for some people to meet up with!
God bless you as well!!
A good test drive is everything.... rev that boy up. Turn it hard slam on the brakes a few times... make sure the HVAC works. Turn the radio off listen for rattles creaking and other noises... Test drive my boy.
Your front brakes and rotors probably finished due to constant donuts or burnouts being done on them and just fried them.
These cars definitely have a lot of power first thing you should do is replace all control arms and suspension motor mounts differential brace etc. or you end up with all these problems that could destroy your car
Yep I am having a lot of work done to it.
With what brand of aftermarket parts ?
Duuuuudddd thank god I found your video I bought a 2018 Dodge Charger used everything worked fine but the payments on my car where not worth it I talked to the dealer that sold it to me I asked what was the total price not knowing what it was he was like oh I did tell you everything never ever believe a dealer man especially if your a test drive a car know your interest rate and more take a parent if you don’t know anything about cars or a person who knows another cars 🚗
Come on man i know you watched vids before getting the car. At least take responsibility for not doing any research.
Well, you shouldn't buy an expensive car unless you have a good job. You should be making at least 4k a month to get a car like that.
How much miles did it have I’m also look at a used hellcat 2018 and I’m asking a lot of questions like what going to be the total of the car with fees and taxes etc included I’m not go down like that
I live in AZ and I'm also in the car biz for over 20 years AND Camelback Toyota is not known to be very honest.
I believe that now. I went after them. I'll have an update coming to. Always awesome to meet fellow AZ people!!
@@reapersrt Yes sir.. Live in North Mesa
Used means as is imo. I know it sucks but i doubt the dealership owes you anything. Prob not what you would want to hear.
They already admitted and took responsibility for it. Haha
Would you recommend buying a 2016 charger hellcat with 77k miles? For $30k+ roughly they’re asking $38k but it’s $9k overpriced so
I would negotiate an offsight inspection and make the purchase contingent on vehicles condition as well as negotiate the price down pr for that price have them include a gpod warranty, covering everything. Ultimately it's a lot of miles so it's been a workhorse or possibly beaten and out away wet. Just make sure you have it checked and get that warranty with it. Good luck!
great video and good editing
Thank you!
I hate to be as a matter of fact... You bought a Chrystler at the end of the day..I was an UAW auto worker, gues who had the worst quality. Fiat/Stellantus/ chrystler......Good luck man!
I appreciate it. At the end of the day they ask have issues one way or another
Dude you bought a used sports car with it looks like over 50k miles on it. Unless you bought, or it came with a warranty then thats on you, not the dealership. If they are fixing anything you are lucky because legally, they have no reason to do anything on a used "as is" car and the fact you are even calling them out on youtube about YOUR decision to buy a used car that has 50k miles of wear and tear on it and place blame on them is basically used vehicle intitlement to think you are "owed" anything!
It was actually based on the deal we made and the agreements put in place by the dealer at that time. I get what your saying and I was fully aware of the used aspect. Nothing entitled at all just holding then to their agreement.
Naaa. To not have a used car checked by a mechanic and trusting the dealership is your fault. You can’t complain about spending the money and not going out your way to check out the vehicle before purchasing
Def agree. However the dealer would not allow that in the way that was wanted.
That's why you never buy a used muscle car unless you know the previous owner. All those muscle cars are pushed to the limits by the previous owners.
U mean dodges
That's true but unfortunately unless you shell out north of 80k, hellcats are only used
Lol
Bro replace both lower control arm tension struts they are the first to wear out and start clunking .check all bushings also
Thank you for that advice! I will look into that as well!
You have to have a Mechanic check it out first before you spend all that money this is why people won’t buy used hellcat that car has been to the dragstrip and he hit something while racing
100% agree however in the next video I go over how I got the car and the circumstances didn't really allow for that. Lol but the dealer is fixing it all anyways. But I 100% agree.
Just ran across your videos, subscribed and liked. One question, though. Did you put 88 or 89 octane into a 392? Looked like it in the video. 88 octane will cost you a good 40hp. I hope you aren't planning on doing it in the Hellcat! Or you will meet Mr. Rod knock very quickly. Anyway, like the vids. I drive an M4 Competition, but 15 years of Vettes before I bought the Bimmer 18 months ago. Always liked MOPARS, and V8s. Too bad they will soon be gone.
Haha I did run premium in my car I did that to mess with someone that was watching my videos and commenting on my Facebook haha. No I ran my Challenger with premium. And always run premium or if they are out mid grade on my hellcat! Thanks for the support! It's awesome that I am getting people that like my videos and want to watch and the support is unreal! Thank you!
All I’m saying is you should have looked at the vehicle properly before driving off with the car
We did. These issues came after the vehicle was in use everyday. A test drive is not enough time to make sure of the issues or not especially things like a motor mount or other internal issues. I'll cover more in the next video
You didnt notice any of these issues during the test drive? if so you should have had those issues fixed before taking delivery
The car did not drive the same way it didn't after having it for days. Unfortunately there'd not enough time in a test drive vs living with the car to actually make sure of those issues
I’m in this same boat rn bro 😭
Understand however buying a used Hellcat with 54000k miles is a big risk
100% luckily I did get a warranty. I do love it just think the dealer should have done their due diligence
@@reapersrt good luck to you sir
The likelihood this car and others of this type are not beaten to death by there previous owner(s) is near zero. A 700+ hp engine and drive train has a short life even when maintained. Dodge was never known for their reliability even back in the 70s.
100% hence the warranty haha
The powertrain is pretty solid but your correct it's a near 1khp engine. I wouldn't keep mine past 60-70k. At least not as a daily driver
Now u know why they traded it in the first place!!!! It had all those issues and they didn’t want to spend the money to fix it
🎃
Yeah I am sure there were some issues, but they are fixing it anyways so it didn't help them to sell it lol
Main problem I see here is you bought a used Hellcat from a Toyota dealership, if I heard you right. These guys have no clue how to work on a Hellcat , however if one must always buy a warranty which I hope you did.
Def agree with the Toyota part. However sometimes it's the car not the dealer. I did have their dodge dealer look through it thought and 100% got a warranty. In my Video coming out soon I go over the update for everything
@@reapersrt True, however lot of people drive the crap out of the car and dont take care of them and trade and them in, then guys like you and I are stuck with a car that needs all kinds of work done.
This is the danger of buying these types of cars used. They are abused and often owned by people who don't have the interest or resources to take care of them. My Hellcats were acquired new, but if I ever get another, I'll insist on accident free, 1 owner, low mileage, service records, and have the car independently inspected and the ECM interrogated. My advice: Fix it and sell it ASAP while people are still going crazy for these things. Once the Dodge EVs come out like the one at SEMA, their performance will beat any Hellcat/Redeye. Good luck!
Doubt it pluse everybody's not a believer in electric cars
Sorry dude but this is totally unacceptable, all these issues should have been addressed when they did their "Certified" inspection, if they in fact did do one?
Exactly my thoughts. They aren't getting off scot free. At all
You bought a used hellcat, it's expected. We see how reckless kids are with hellcats and what they do at car meets, half of them get dogged by 20 year olds or previously stolen.
Def do. I think what got me was just like how much wasn't done before the sale haha like normal stuff
youre having problems bc u mashing on the gas when the engine is still cold .
Here's your problem you didn't buy it from a dodge dealer. You brought from i believe a Toyota dealer. They don't have the parts or the expertise to repair your car or the corporate backing.
100% however it was I specter at a dodge dealer that was also the same parent company. Lesson learned though
That’s a Risk you take even buying used unfortunately
You think that’s bad wait until you have to buy tires they cost about 2000$ for a set of summer tires all season are a little cheaper but traction is really crappie for all season tires
Not worried at all about buying my tires. Haha I've done some research and also had multiple muscle cars before, I tend to go with Nitto 555s
How many miles on it
54k
@@reapersrt not bad
Car needs paint correction, with all them swirls
100% I agree
All those problems = abuse... likely from prior owner.
Yep, and now I am going to make sure it gets fixed, this was a dream car for me but nothing worth having is easy!
Stop being soft. Grow a pair and make them repair everything.. put your foot down and demand instead of being nice and asking. At least I definitely would
I did! Lol I appreciate the words though. You'd think with any purchase especially 50k plus, but I did go after them. Haha I have an update coming. 😅 💯
@@reapersrt awesome can’t wait to see update
Awesome! Thank you for the support!
@@reapersrt anytime. And I don’t even have a hellcat. Lol..I have a Daytona 392 but I wish I could afford a cat.
@DeeMoney1087 I'm Def not well off. I am lucky to have one, took 6 years to get one and I am putting all my money into building my youtube and having this opportunity is amazing. So having people that watch and sub is amazing
You can not buy these cars used period!!! That car has been absolutely beat to death endless burnouts, donuts, bounced off curbs, you need to check that drive shaft I'd be shocked if it wasn't shaky by hand , the front brakes too? That car was driven hard totally abused, everything you described is all telltale signs of a car to run from!!!
Yes I know. I have a huge update coming because they didn't get away with it. Let's just say that. Haha
@@reapersrt if you do go used gotta do a reputable 3rd party pre purchase inspection.
100% I agree with you. All these cars are pre owned now unless you buy new for over 100
I feel for you mopar brother
The biggest problem is the fact it’s a outdated piece of garbage with an overpowered engine. 😂😂😂
return it, the paint looks awful with all the swirls in it.
I agree. I am getting that fixed and gonna wrap it at my shop
@@reapersrtwhy wrap it if you’re going to paint correct it?
@@Armylife1998 it was up in the air for a while lol
stop crying there is still crosshatchs in rotors they dont need replaced they are most expensive part
Lol, Def not crying hahaha, they are just fixing what should have already been done lol
