You just managed to make an 8 minute video called "How I Would Learn To Day Trade" with litteraly zero practical knowledge given. Even in the part where you suggest to watch youtube videos (which most of them are full of scammers with ridiculously stupid advice) you didn't try to suggest specific ones to help them avoid all these scammers. So you managed to talk for 8 minutes saying litteraly nothing useful except the obvious staff someone can find in every day trading tutorial in the face of the earth. 2. Backtest your strategy! ( and stick to it)
3. Your losses is mostly based on execution mistakes rather than sttategy failing
4. See losses as expense. And wins your gross profit. Income vs expenses = profit. Its a business

One of the best lessons in learning anything, especially for faster results, is via the trial & error/mistake method, where money is lost/account is “blown” then you FEEL the heavy emotions as a byproduct, yet those same emotions of anger/rage, disappointment, discouragement, etc actually DRIVE YOU to BE BETTER. All the “testing & practicing” will never account for actually having momentary failures, so long as you DON’T IDENTIFY WITH your failures, which requires a strong self-concept/self-identity.

Hey there, I have been trading for about 6 months now and just about every trade slaps me in my face. Nearly impossible for me to catch more than a few points . I try to do top down analysis and MTF analysis, but it doesn't work for me . I say to myself, clearly I'm in the 90% that lose money, so I open a demo account, do my analysis, then take the opposite of what I would normally take(I know, it sounds stupid but I was desperate) and get the same result. @John Fritsch You're right, I don't lose money every single trade, but my main problem is trying to let my runners run. Very rarely do I catch big moves . Instead they go a few pips in my direction, then go against me if when I try holding them. Also my entries could use a lot of improvement. If your day trading make sure you making a minimum of what it costs to enter and exit, it’s more efficient to just trade at a 1D or 4 H

You should trade in your live account as you would on your virtual account, unaffected by emotion, follow your plan ang practice proper risk management. As Peter Lynch said, "Everyone has the brainpower to make money in stocks. Not everyone has the stomach. 2. Move to a live account when you have learned a successful strategy, have done thorough testing, learned how to control emotions, learn risk management, and are consistently profitable with strategy. move forward when you are truly ready.
3. Use the right broker.
4. Find a mentor.
5. Keep a trading journal. Realize mistakes, strengthen, and analyze patterns.
6. You do not have to be in the trade 24/7.

Totally agree with what you are saying..I started in crypto in August 2017 ,and I bought in.I was up 5x by December only to watch that disappear quickly and then watch the original investment go down by about 85% during the ensuing 4 year bear market. I took the opportunity to accumulate more over the last 4 years which was hard to do and at the same time a smart thing to do. I wish I had bought more. I am in profit for now but I am planning on using my experience and what i have learnt from Eric McLaren. Have learned from you and other TH-camrs especially my mentor Eric McLaren, who taught me how to make trade and increase my crypto from 32 to 58 BTC no one really knows what is going to happen in the market and I know you are only saying what you think will happen based on the past. It is yours and my opinion so people should make their own investment choices based on their own research…

I was so worried about starting out with forex game to learn how to trade, thinking it was completely different than the real thing. Once he said use a simulator it felt like a weight was lifted I don’t plan on actually having a live account until maybe another 4 to 5 months from now because I really understand the risk factor and how you can lose money very quickly I treat every single trade like a child I don’t care if I only get 90 cents I will continue to inch my way up little by little and before I know it I’ve made 100$ on the simulator in under 30 minutes

I would definitely not suggest a trading simulator as orders are filled immediately and this doesn't l happen in the real market. Whatever strategy you practice in a simulator has to be tweaked in the real market. The best way to practice is to start out in the market with money you can lose.

How long does it take to lean how to trade. Anyone can answer, since it can be different for everyone. I have been doing it about a year now, and I feeling like I am making progress on understanding some things.
That's the whole point. As long as you're making progress, you're good to go.
A person who asks how long it takes to learn to day trade should stay as far away from day trading as possible. Asking such a stupid question shows that your brainpower and temperament are not designed for day trading. You cannot become a day trader just by watching videos and reading theory, a lot depends on your innate brain potential and personality. Have you ever wondered, why most university professors, who teach finance and the theory behind it, are bad at investing?
@@peeterl.2016 Umm, you might want to read the question again. I never said anything about day-trading. I am taking my time and more interested in Swing-trading. I have been getting around 15% a quarter, which is not the bast, but I am okay with it. I hope you are doing well with trading, but your attitude is awful.
