- Lake Cook Road Railfanning
Recorded on 2/16/19 from 6:30am-4:30pm
After being on the CN Waukesha Subdivision the day before, we returned out trackside after a good night sleep to the CP C&M Subdivision at Lake Cook Road. Our day started off a bit rough as Andrew Mangalindan was having a stomach ache along with camera issues. But those were both solved quickly and the show went on. While we were there, we got a great variety in action as it remained very consistent throughout the day. The weather was still cold but a bit better than yesterday’s weather conditions. There were a few times where our cameras died out due to the cold temperatures but luckily enough we didn’t miss a train while our cameras were being rebooted up. Overall, it was a solid day out trackside out on the CP C&M Subdivision. We have one more trip for the month of February before we move on to March which we’re very excited for. Enjoy this video presentation from the CP C&M Subdivision at Lake Cook Road.

Did anyone notice the Milwaukee Road hopper car at 14:07?

@ 1:12 sounds like the bell stopped working & there’s no F40s in this video
Jmream2 Jmream yeah that bell was having some issues!
Nice catches man!! 🙂🙂
Thank you!
Best time to railfan is 4 to 6 witch is rushhour
Was that the same Amtrak Hiawatha train you just saw? I didn't see any NPCU's.
Yes. Sometimes they don’t have NPCU on the Hiawathas
@@SamLovesTrains The SC-44's on the Surfliner sound like P42's; they don't sound like F59's.
Max's Midwestern Railfanning Eh. I think they sound a little more electronic.
@@SamLovesTrains I'm talking about their K5LA horns, not their bells.
@@SamLovesTrains Their engines sound similar compared to the F59s' engines.
Why do people call it railfanning as opposed to train spotting
train spotting has unfortunate connotations: viz.co.uk/2014/10/25/railway-enthusiast-recruitment/
