I hate to admit this is one of my favourite tanks in War Thunder since I'm a Sherman boy, but this Panzer 4 H is actually awesome. The 75mm gun coupled with the thick front armour 80mm with some additional tracks make this really difficult to take out. Angle it right and it's a real problem for the enemy.

I used to love the panzer 4, then I moticed the turret is positioned slightly to one side, and I can't unsee it.

OddBawZ Too late. I noticed that when I was 8 years old, buying a model abrams, only to get home and notice the asymmetry.
80mms of armor on the front + trolly additional tracks + trolly turret face; absolutely great gun and nice handling with good gun depression. Man I love the Pz. IV H and I love it even more now that it has the *T H I C C* tracks. It's a great little tank.
Still very soft IMO. My entire turret crew gets one shotted even if a guy just adjusts his shot a little up.
The armor is shit, everything can one shot you and it's slow af, I don't know why the hell they were thinking when they decided to put like 1000 different versions of the Panzer IV with minor changes

The allies actually misidentified the pz4 to be a Tiger very very often. But facing a real Tiger was really rare. For example : Only 8 Tigers were in france on D-day. This was because most of the Tigers were located in russia.

I’ve been playing this thing like crazy the last couple days because of the D-Day playlist on Normandy. Germans have a pretty OP lineup for ground RB. Also at 14:52 your spaced armour saved you from that 105. About the only time it will ever save you tho haha
Germans are really easy to play in my opinion. Like, I went back a while ago to get ostketten, and make what I call the track monster (pz.4H with track armor and ostketten is like 75% tracks, 10% tank, and 5% Magic Sherman Bullying Juice. Damn its easy, I got like 8-10 kills a game and was disapointed when I "only" got 5. Plus, pair the German 4.3 lineup with a 190 or 109 and you have a great time. 9/10 you have to uptier a Puma for a light tank. Not that the Puma suffers in this br.
what i love about your vids is that you get me excited about vehicles i aced long ago and havent thought to touch again ya know? the grind is all consuming sometimes and you miss the ones you were having fun with. keep it up!
Shoulda charged that Churchill the second it smoked up. You'd have flanked and spanked him before he knew you were there. Smoke is such a double edged sword.

The best on tier 3.0 has to be the stug3g ,100mm of heat pen it's a 105mm gun, has 80mm of armour + add-ons . I kill loads of tanks with it, it's a fun TD.
Germany at that BR is so much fun, idk if I should stop grinding it once I get the 5.3 Tiger, I feel like any higher and it loses its point and clickiness that makes em so much fun

I tend to play them hull down. They don't really have the armor to be very survivable usually. There are a lot of lucky bounces in this video, but typically when I am hit I'm knocked down to 2 crew, or just one shotted, so brawling is usually a bad idea for me.
In my 5.3 lineup I have this tank as one of my back up vehicles. Sometimes I start the match with it and finish the match with it. It’s probably my most successful vehicle in my entire inventory.

Everytime i see the Panzer IV H i remember the last mission on France of MoH European Assault, one of those appears in the end of the mission (and me as a kid confused it with a Tiger lmao)
The only thing I love about Late Panzer IVs is that their side armor gives purpose to the 3 APCR rounds I have just for german box tanks.

For some reason whenever we go against this I play m4s which is America, you can a lot of the time really clap these tanks if they don’t suspect you or that u just get first shot. But they seem like great tanks
Shermans are good at close combat, because of the stabilizer, machine guns, and decent armor. At longer ranges though the Germans just outclass everything and so big maps are bad for Shermans
Ost is east in Germanic and Scandinavian languages. Ketten is chain, used for chainsaws or “chaintracks”.
They should add 1 gamemode for top tier tanks and 2 more gamemodes for top tier jets call the jets top gun and missile thunder. For the tanks call it sniping, where engagements are minimum 1 km appart.

I find the PZ IV F2 absolutely slaps, the 75mm at that BR is just seal club like.... lower BR is great at times.
The 75 pakwagen is at even lower br with the same gun and much better mobility. The only downside is it loses all the panzer 4's great armor. Oh right it doesn't have any.

They should add battle tracks for Tigers as well. These transport ones they have now kinda suck in mud

I prefer the J. Same armor, same everything except the turret motor. Yes the slow turret is annoying but you shouldn't be brawling with these tanks anyway. I also prefer not to have the side skirts as they look a bit silly. But the main reason is the BR. At 4.0, you'll never see Comets, Challengers, T-34-85s, IS-1s, PTs, M4A2 (76)s or Sherman VCs. By driving the H, you're getting faster turret rotation in exchange for a whole tier of far nastier opposition, all of which outclass the Panzer 4.

Attempt #1 Take out my favorite tank, the Obj. 268. The gun is fantastic and the angled pen is godlike, the mobility is great, and it has pretty good armor too.

Bad thing about this tank is it's don't have smoke charge like early panzer 4

I never aced it with GE, it just got there over time. You can Ace any crew for free with enough use!
wirbelwind is actually a decent vehicle even against ground targets and straight up deletes air

OddBawZ advance to the Rhine is urban, Berlin is too but that is mostly an open map plus Berlin has the big “Reichstag” building

You should do a video on the Swedish Ikv 103, it’s a real fun TD with a ridiculously good HEATFS, especially considering it’s a 5.7br tank, I’ll bring the thing all the way up to 7.7, heck you could probably bring it up to 8.3 and be uptiered and still be good with it’s 400mm of pen, also comes with -16° of gun elevation.

I have the I180s, and yes, you have missed out on an amazing aircraft. The 12.7s are ridiculously over powered and act like the BTR's 14.5mms or the german 20mm MG105s. They are just so good, and the plane is very manuevarable, not as much as a zero, but more so than almost every other aircraft. Not only that but it climbs very well and can go fairly fast and retains energy well enough. Its main downside is it runs out of ammo too fast. I use it along with silver boosters when grinding silver lions, netted me over 100k silver in one match lol.

As far as I can tell the L3/33 is small enough to be almost completely covered in bushes, given you use the largest one available. I'm unable to test it myself since I don't have the eagles for it so I don't know whether it's effective or not, but it might be worth a look, no?
Yup! I've had a T-34(1942) pass me in an open street on a winter map cause of my bushes. Damn that was scary man.

Does the turret on the H rotate faster than the one on the J, please? I really enjoy playing the J variant, but not when nimble T-34s flank me and I go up in flames, cursing the turret rotation. LOL.
