I saw that highlight of sean clancy, i didnt know he was a world champ. Tawanchai really made him look like a rookie, as if he didnt belong there.. thats way too cold tbh
Same here my favorite Muay Thai fighter, I was hooked immediately witnessing his first fight, - his precision, his speed, his power, his technique, his fight IQ, just phenomenal, just on another level, not even talked about his athletic body - beautiful, I wish him all the best...
The thing that impresses me most about Tawanchai is his hip dexterity - it makes his round kick almost impossible to read. His head kick looks like a body kick until it lands but the foot doesn't whip around like a conventional question-mark kick. He's so good to watch.

They won’t. Thai’s aren’t interested in MMA to the same degree as Muay Thai. Muay Thai runs deep since it part of their culture
Thai fighter and fc like stand flight. Muay Bulan has many styles.. stand, sleep, jumping but not suit for sport.

You must have forgotten about the Netherlands dominating K1 for like 15 years and even producing some muay thay fighters that took down the best thai fighters. Look up Ramon Dekker, Bas Rutten, Ernesto Hoost, Peter Aerts, Remi Bonjasky, Sem Schilt, Gokan Saki, Melvin Manhoef, Overeem, and the list goes on.

Yeah, his striking sound so loud, must be very heavy. And his timing & speed are also great.
Thai sport media used to give him the nickname "Perfect Lefty" which I think suit him the best. Though later the media gave him the current nickname "Lefty Star" because of his handsomeness.

@@tommygunnggg1127too many people switch guard in the middle of their career. Nokweed Sakmongkol Samart and many more can fight in both stance. In Muay Boran (ancient muay thai) the most basic stance called Yang Sam Khum (marching forward) require fighter to switch guard when walking instead of skipping like boxer so most fighters can use 2 guards easily

Always a little jealous of the blessing of growing up in a martial art, decades of putting love blood sweat and tears into the craft, good thing it's never too late to get in.
That last part is only half true, yeah its never too late to start, but to compete at your highest potential it's best to start young. My biggest regret as well
@@13thBN that's fine not everyone is after a championship title sometimes just adding to the martial art is the legacy on leaves behind, so many train and consistently practice it, all it takes is one person to add to the discipline, also with mixed martial arts Fighting IQ is significantly under valued compared to physical prowess, how the muscle fibers age and are maintained compared to damage accrued plays a significant difference as well peak skeletal muscle is achieved at 40. Competition on a world stage for glory is one thing truly refining yourself as a martial artist is timeless.
Watching Tawanchai fight is a thing of beauty. I was a bit bummed on his last fight because it went so short!!! Tawanchai
And fast forward, he beat the Dagestan fighter with a single leg kick. Damn.

My favorite and the most dangerous yet calm and respectable fighter ever. I really love seeing some of his facial expressions while fighting, like "Your going to have to do better than that".. His stance, style, body everything is great about him. I always enjoy watching him.

I'm a huge Tawanchai's fan but I think he either lost to Petchmorakot or it was a draw. He didn't win that fight for sure.
He lost to Sittichai and Petchmorakot was robbed, his wins were against western cans and a catchweight fight where he was bigger

He's definitely an amazing, technical Muay Thai fighter but I think he's a little vulnerable in the small gloves. Just look at the Sittichai fight. I want to see him face some more of the hardest hitting Muay Thai warriors.
