The legendary Wonder Boy game series has turned 35 and to celebrate this occasion, we put together a legendary collection of epic Wonder Boy adventures that will soon be available for pre-order as Limited and Collector’s Editions for Nintendo Switch and PS4.
Featuring six games in console ports from Arcade, Master System / Sega MARK III, Mega Drive / Genesis and more, the Anniversary Collection comes with a total of 21 different versions! 🙌

The only thing I'd love to see also included are the Activision home computer ports of Wonderboy and Monster Land. But these compialations never include home computer ports strangely.

Where's the WONDER BOY: ASHA IN MONSTER WORLD MEGA COLLECTOR'S EDITION??? Which your website has been saying "We expect this game to ship in September/October". It said that in 2021, here we are in March of 2022 and nothing.
It first needs to be sold out before shipping.

I am a long time customer with 25+ orders, never got any game before it had sold out.
For example: Still waiting for my Darius Cosmic Revelation, Wonder Boy Asha CE and Turrican order that i placed in march 21, so litteraly a year ago!
But the Star Hunter DX CE that I ordered in august last year I already received. But that was sold out in an instant. I could be wrong and just unlucky ofc. But it happend many times.
@@8bitNL I'm still waiting for my Wonder Boy Asha CE and Turrican CE...but I received my Darius Cozmic Revelation months ago, like almost a year ago now. I received it a month before the solo release of Dariusburst: Another Chronicle EX, so I was was able to play G-Darius HD before it was even listed on the e-Shop here (I'm in the UK). It was just a standard edition and not the CE though.
why make this then a dumbed down version on the psn store i had to buy the physical just to get the rest of the games im so annoyed about that because i just beat the first 2 games realized the other 2 were missing and shit
I'm confused. This is listed for a June release on Amazon UK but only has 4 games listed (Wonder Boy, Wonder Boy in Monster Land, Wonder Boy in Monster World and Monster World 4) but according to you guys it also includes Wonder Boy 3 Monster Lair, Wonder Boy 3 The Dragon's Trap and Wonder Boy V: Monser World 3. So....will the normal release contain all of those games as well, or do they only come with the Strictly Limited version??
From what I understand, this is exclusive to Strictly Limited's physical release. I can't find information on a digital release...
So it looks like we'll be able to play the 4 games on the main collection when it releases in June, via retail physical copies or digital, and then we'll get the rest of the games and version variants in a year or longer when Strictly Limited actually ships these out :/
Here's hoping I'm wrong and there is a digital version of this particular version of the collection released in June as well, so that we don't have to wait so long.

I've had an email about this now as well, this is what it says...'This extensive collection of Wonder Boy titles as a boxed version will only be available at Strictly Limited Games! This is a worldwide exclusive boxed release - there will not be any other physical release of equal completeness. Our Japanese partner Bliss Brain will provide a digital version of this amazing collection - more on this will be announced at a later date.' So it looks for now like only the Limited Run physical release will contain all the games, and information about a digital release will be made available later on.
Wonderboy in monsterworld and wonderboy v in monsterworld III are the same game?

Just ordered the ... Ultimate collector edition (don't remember the exact name) and I can't wait! I'm looking forward to play the master Version of monster world!
And the soundtracks! I can't wait to Listen to them while I drive around - or go to sleep! So many soothing melodies!
Just pre-ordered... was really hoping we'd get other non-Sega console versions like the TurboGrafx versions, but this is still WAY better than the standard digital release.

Strickley Limited..... I beg you to consider making an 'Adventure Island' ultimate collection release at some point. Include all the Wonder Boy type games that were released by Westone in the Adventure Island style.... aka.

I'm 110% Getting this!... Only thing that could have probably beaten this is if they were able to get the licence for both the Wonder Boy Dragon's Trap Remake, the newly Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom game (which still hasn't got a Euro physical release), and maybe even the Hudson versions and bundled it all in one, but I know that's asking for way too much tbh. Also, there was a fan remake made ages ago on PC for the PC Engines Dragon's Curse which was awesome.

I'm sure the licensing cost plays a factor. like they negotiated rights to continue selling the 4 games digitally and the remaining games in a one time deal for the one printing. be lucky you got them as an option at all
Why is Monster Lair exclusive to Limted Edition?
I get Dragon's Trap since it's already availible but this is Monster Lair's only rerelease besides PS2. This is really inconsiderate & cringe on ININ's end
"inconsiderate"? don't be rude and dramatic. they probably negotiated extended rights to the 4 games and one time licensing for the remaining games for the one printing. it's a small company, they aren't made of money. if you want an the games then buy the limited edition

2. If ININ truly can't sustain having a 6 Game Collection sold without being under the deal of another company, they should've thought of that before making the collection in the first place
3. It's Limited. Soon, it won't be availible TO buy. I don't just always have $60 on hand to give to some random company I know nothing about. I don't always have that time
@@kiwisoup I can understand him. It's about 6 games that are 30 to 40 years old, basically going back to the early 8-bit era. And from what I can see here and not counting the physical bonus stuff there games are remade in the cheapest way possible: just emulation with some additional effects that most emulators are able to do and a rewind function. For this you have to pay €50 ($60) for the Anniversary Collection. If you take the physical bonus stuff of the limited edition of the Wonder into account then you have mostly stickers and posters and a really cheap looking music box made of plywood and then you can pay €150. This is clearly made for the "I will buy it for any price" people since for this price you will get a very very small amount of value. For a comparison: When the PS2 collection (Sega Ages Vol. 20: Monster World Complete Collection) was released it contained all games in lot of different versions and the price was only 2500 Yen (nowadays about €20). The price may vary by taxes and whatnot but it's a mile away from €50. And the games weren't as old back then.

@@maromorostar6621 dont even know lost count on the months, like 1 year or less. I always buy lrg, super rare and special reserve and no problems, sometimes was 5 months but eventually arrived. These people instead take far too long. Gotta improve! (in case they're not plain fraudsters.

@@darwingumball612 waiting is perfectly fine for me. Specially since I play the games after a long while after buying them. I just find their lack of communication with costumers the main fault. Was my first purchase and for a while I was windering if it was a scam. I buy from LRG, Special Reserve and Super Rare and so far so good :) these kinds of companies NEED to set clearly their rules and keep in touch, a small email telling that there was a delay and the game's still coming.
I live in the States and was all set to pre-order the collector's set, the product page says international shipping for so much weight is only $7.50, I go to checkout and now it's $30. I hate shipping and handling costs, you pay to have your item properly sent to you and most of the time it arrives damaged anyway

Probably M2 who also emulated the Wonder Boy games on both the Switch (Sega Ages: Wonder Boy in Monster World) and the Astro City Mini.
@@figment1988 Not necessarily. Ratalaika Games did the emulation/perks for MD MWIV on the Asha In Monster World remake.
@@PacDork i never realized this. I am quite aware that Ratalaika has been porting some genesis games such as Gleylancer and Gynoug/Wings of Wor.

Strickley Limited..... Please get the licence to also re-release a European physical version of 'Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom' with all the pre-patched updates on the cart. Another release I would defo get behind and support.
