Awesome! I'm sure many of us out here working 9-5 and barely surviving envy u and Brandon the freedom you guys have afforded yourselves and the opportunity to become self sufficient, also the sat8sfying work and results thus far in an unlikely environment. Must be truly fulfilling😅

@@hirokawiti4932 in a way we “barely survive” just like folks who work a 9-5. We had to really want it to make the opportunity reality. The difference is the work we do, is for us, not for someone else. But yes! The freedom, hard work, sacrifices, blood sweat and tears and seeing things grow and build is very satisfying and totally truly fulfilling 🥰

@a_fellow_homesteader I respect u guys for it. Making the most of what you have. Maybe more of us resonate with the fact we don't all have the resources to accomplish things as we would prefer. Id say it's part of your project appeal. Seeing what is possible. Even your guys 1 rock check dam taught me simple things like this can have profound effects for the future. In saying that you guys have a back hoe which i believe was an intelligent early investment

@@hirokawiti4932 we do our best to do a lot with a little 😄 it is definitely part of the “sub text” that you can do a lot with little resource. And to be creative with the resources an available. We love the simplicity of things, we try not to make it toooo complicated haha.
We are actually lucky to have a friend who lets us borrow his backhoe on occasion, but hopefully one day we will save up enough to get our own 😅

@@dennismurphy9465 they are excited about sugar syrup and fruits I set out for them. Otherwise they are all over us and our food and drinks in search of sugars and salts to bulk up for winter. So I help em out and keep them from swarming us 😅✌🏾💜🐝

My house here in Wisconsin, with the cold nights and unseasonably warm days. Have driven the bee's and Japanese beetles ( like lady bugs) into the house ( old windows) hundreds of them getting ready for winter, seems they will eat just about anything huh,?

@@dennismurphy9465 I bet the odd weather has thrown the bugs for a spin! The bees here kinda seem to just do what they want any time of year 😂 they were out and about in December last year. They sure will eat about anything! Slim pickings around here too. So I enjoy feeding them a bit and making “friends” they will swarm me extra when the sugar water runs out, haha, and follow me when I refill. It super neat 🥰

@@MosaicHomestead these guys are actually Africanized bees as far as we can tell 😅 Can’t truly tell unless we do genetic testing. But killer bees (Africanized bees) only do their killer thing when their hive is disturbed. They are otherwise as chill as bumble regular bees. These guys will come (nicely) swarm me when their feeder/waterer is empty, we are homies haha.
