Can we please take a minute to realize that this song is almost 20 years old. 🥲 I remember watching this on much music when I was in grade 7/8... still love Billy talent & I'm in my 30's now.
Yeah i remember when it came on Much music one day and i was instantly hooked to billy talent im 27 now and still blast them on my way work and home 😂 👊🏽😎
out of curiosity what walk of life do y'all you come from? This goes to the 3 folks above me that commented on my post. Or anyone else for that matter that decides to leave a reply on this post. It never ceases to amaze me how music tends to bring complete strangers together and give us a common interest.
My first friend i ever had made me a burnt cd with this song on it in like 4th grade and I loved it I downloaded it on my Xbox and I would listen ton it all the time we went to separate schools and lost touch I found out years later he died and it really sucks im sad we never got to reconnect but I'm glad he showed this song I still have that CD downloaded on my original Xbox and I still listen from time to time thanks for being an amazing friend Andrew rest in peace brother.
As a teen I remember having the likes of Billy Talent, Sum 41 etc blasting from my cd player. Now as a grown ass man with a baby daughter, these same songs still get played in the car so she'll learn to enjoy it as well.
This was my first introduction to Canadian music tv in 2003 as a Mexican immigrant. Now 2024, still love these guys, and still kickin it in Banff after 21 years!
One thing I love about Billy Talent is they OWN the stage. As soon as they are up there, they really go at it and just don't give a shit what people think.
You will probably like The Greenery, they are super comparable energy wise to Billy Talent, except cranked up since they're a hardcore band lol. Friend and myself have seen the singer puke mid-song from always going 120% and carry on without missing a beat
Cool to hear. Am seein them for the first time live in Peterborough this summer, mainly cuz they got Crown Lands opening for them, they like the best new canadian band around right now, good to know these guys will give er for the 2nd half.
This band needs to be recognized for their music and for the fact that they are still performing. I would love to see them at the next grey cup. They deserve much adoration from the Canadian music board and beyond. ABSOLUTE kings
Used to play this song to get pumped for CAL-i matches when it was a thing. Cyber Amateur League Invite; Counter-Strike, Natural Selection (HL Mod) and F.E.A.R. 2v2. Miss that so much... This brings me back 15 years..
"Into the river below, I'm running from the inferno They'll think I'm insane, but you'll all know my name Into the river below, I'm running from the inferno I'll take all the blame, the front page, and the fame" All the above lyrics apply to me except "I'll take all the blame"... "I'll take none of the blame" thank you. Great song.
I'm actually Bi polar (1) and loved this band/song in grade 8-10. Was thinking on how many "bridges I've burned," and realized that the title "river below" refers to what happens to anyone on that bridge. Myself and them. Why would I remember this like 11 years later?! Haha I had no idea back then that I was Bi polar. Foreshadowing LOL
Dancing to this in the mosh pit would be fun as fuck. All those hooks and riffs, along with the vocals and chorus, how could You not stay still with this song❓️ Also;- You'll have no voice left by the time the entire concert is over, and You're headed home😁👍. 💖From🇨🇦Canada🇨🇦with💖Love🫂
Despite my disabilities I did lose my voice & had so.much fun FINALLY seeing them at Aftershock Festival. I NEVER go to moshpits but I said screw it because I've wanted to see them since I was a teen & I've had 16 surgeries & my life is hell & if I die at least it was having fun & holy hell it was the greatest experience ever! This is my anthem! I feel like a wreck & failure to my family with all my physical & mental disabilities & I'm so angry so it was so fun grabbing people & just jumping & yelling together.
