I’ve purchased some online firearms from Rock Island Auctions but prices of the quality vintage military guns from them are very similar to your retail prices at present. I’ve purchased firearms from you as well and what I appreciate is the accurate assessment of provenance and condition. One won’t get any great “deals” from Legacy Collectibles but you will get what you pay for.
Even if one pays top dollar, it is pleasing to buy from an honest, sincere seller. Tom is most certainly that. I have bought items from all kinds of people, auctions, pawn shop owners that were probably felons but not convicted, widows, bankers, and others from all walks of life. A purchase to me is a chance to meet another human being and help them, while enlightening myself in some way. The experience of the purchase should be remembered and appreciated. I have made a few that I would never do again, but that's called education, I guess.
Thanks, John, for ensuring the average collector won't be able to touch these now that they'll be on 300% markup.
U got that right
You’re assuming the gun shop owner was asleep at the switch. The only person who got a bargain was the gun shop owner that bought the collect and paid the collector or more likely heir a baseline price that didn’t account for any rare variations.
if you believe these stories being pumped out, you are dumber than the guy who shot the video (not tom)
sS it’s sub unit maybe SD .like movie Massacre in Rome .Richard Burton LtCol Chief of SD Rome.
who's John?
John should’ve bought them. So much for good scores anymore lol
I love that fn, it's definitely a beauty. Those walthers are top of the line. Nothing like history of guns that are rare and hard to find.
This is why I love your videos. So much information and interesting facts. Cheers.
Always amazing, entertaining, and so damn educational ! Thanks !
I scored a Beretta M1934 at a gun store. It was marked M1954. It was marked 150 bucks. It was made in 1940 and has fascist marks on it.
Thts awesome
My grandfather gave me his 1943 P 38 with one original mag that was in it and the shoulder holster that he took off the soldier after he shot him during a street battle.
Looted a dead soldier?
Did he have any use for it? What exactly should have happened to it?
I think people like you are just upset they don't have one...😂
@@mastertechnician3372 It is unfortunate that civility and common courtesy seem to go out the window during violent gun battles. You would think that after centuries of warfare mankind would learn to say "please" and "thank you" while they are brutally slaughtering each other.
@@Jreb1865 Yeah, he had a use for it. You see, when you are being shot at by the Deutsche Truppen it's good to have as many guns on you as possible because you might run out of ammo, your gun my jam or something like that. It's good to be well armed when Nazis are trying to butcher you.
I’m surprised by the hate comments about this dealer buying and selling used weapons…
I mean its rather obvious why its the case. The guy bought it potentially cheaper from a local gun shop since the gun shop ideally would keep his prices inline for his face to face customers to purchase. Only for that guy to sell it to this online retailer who will in turn sell it back to the public and upcharge it even further. Go to his website he doesn't sell stuff cheap. Which in turn is squeezing the market further to even higher prices and more and more people being left out of the fun of being able to acquire one of these let alone one in decent condition.
I'm more surprised that people would simp for prices about twice what they should be...
So nice of you to cherry pick a store and offer them to us at higher prices. :P
Lol you said we only bought a few then show a table full of guns, I love it!
He said not all of the ones he is showing came from this store.
You are the star that
We need John!!!
Thank you for the content. 🙏
What a beautiful sight, you’re lucky to be able to acquire those things.
deep pockets always score the best deals--it must be nice
You should say what you bought them for and what your markup is, that would be interesting.
I’ve snooped around every local gun shop and pawn shop for 7 years and nothing. Not even a post war P-1 or Interarms Walther anything.
Wish they were more affordable, but the bubble will pop one day…
Not on collectible guns. On those the bubble will only get bogger and thicker, especially with all these gun control laws and regulations. You want a cheap gun? There aren't any.
Are you wearing the gloves because it's cold ? No one else who has handled them wore them !!! Have a cloth handy if you're worried about oils !
I have 219250P with one matching magazine.
Numbered mag?
These fantasy stories…tom is good at pumping them out, yall say ahhhhh!!!
"probably went to the SS". Probably not.
@@sambone8213I would say definitely not...lol
Another dealer fudd story...😂
Great video! Of the two Sauer’s ,I noticed on one that the trigger was more forward than the other. I wondered if it functions properly. Thanks for sharing them and I always learn a lot from watching. Have a great day!
Decoker was used in the other . Other no. Loaded❤
@@454FatJack Thanks! I didn’t know they had a decocker. I just watched his video on the 38H where he demonstrates using it. 👍🏻
The black market in Albania has amazing stuff for cheap cheap. Always obey the laws!
Did they make any ppk models in the 1950s?
Yes Manurhin France
A gun store just happened to have these?
I wish I had at least two of those Walther PP pistols in 380 but , a last, I need to eat. They are out of my reach. Maybe one day at a gun show??
I loved: the smaller guns, the higher the officer!! //lars
Call MDW Guns in Waterford , Maine for a large World War Two Collection. Ask for Marc Wagner and what is down deep in the Bunker .( I have the Holsters😂)
I couldn't read that signature in the paper holster but the handwriting looks very German to me.
It said "A. Hitler"
So?
I have a couple of things my father brought back from ww2 k98 rifle with bayonet and case two Nazi flags a 1943 stacked AC p-38 serial 9755L
Interesting Tom loving the history and details and dates
I have found a 1903 colt and a 3913 sw when I didnt want to buy something but I did.
Very neat
Wien is german for Vienna.
Did they have GI mismatch or Put together for the Spreewerk cyq factory?
I have one with 3 different numbers. Has 3 proof marks on the slide.
I have a ppk that my grandfather brought home from ww2, it needs to be restored, were would I take it
White gloves 🧤 😂😂😂😂😂 dude ur killing me stop it !
I am a collector of smaller value firearms....I very much doubt anything I own would bring much over five thousand dollars. When I lived in a large city / state I did know a dealer that did deal with some high end firearms and I would probably call him several times a year when I found something and either did not have the cash or knowledge about it and he would quire often check it out and end up doing quite well for himself.
Amazing. Ppk. P38. Classics all. Jim-Brit
I’ve never seen an NSKK pistol until now.
You never know what you can find at gun shops and pawn shops.
Tey are all on Internet and the first thing they check is compatible sales, so do not hold your breathe.
Wow '' Great Video 💯💥💥💥💥💥💥💥
22 caliber Walther during WWII? I wander where would they be used? If those were used in Stalingrad then the picture becomes clear.
Did anyone see the video of the kid finding a storage unit full of Lugers, PPK's, 1911's, etc? It was maddening, the kid had no clue. Told him to contact Tom.
Hope it wasn't that irrational Justus idiot. I tried watching his video 1 time. Law enforcement should be there when he opens up a storage unit. Kids should not play with guns. Jumps around like a barnyard rooster. 😊
no where is that
What’s the story on the difference in the triggers on the two Sauers?
what is a ball park price for a Astra 7.65 from Germany in great shape
Amazing vid
I cant afford a real expensive BLACK widow so I would definitely buy it.
Buy a house broken tarantula. Its cheaper.
Are these available? A1 1911 colt
1927 design.
I AM LOOKING FOR A GERMAN LUGER 1941 .DO YOU KNOW WHERE I CAN FIND IT ?
Can you shoot these or does it harm the value?
Very sorry i am 2 days late.....Thanks Tom....
Old F-4 Phantom 2 Pilot Shoe🇺🇸
i enjoy these, as a customer, i will say right out...if anyone wants to buy investment grade firearms, legacy is the way to go. I have bought a few things including a plum p38 variant that were way better than described .
Was this the Bond gun of the 1960s?
Yes, Bond used a PPK.
Wow....
I’m I missing something here, why are all the safety catches off? I was always taught to keep the safety at safe when handling firearms (discounting firearms were the safe could only be applied when the gun was cocked).
He’s undoubtedly checked them and doesn’t want to display them in that manner for a showcase video…
✊🏻✊🏻✊🏻✊🏻🍸
👍👍
👑Excellent ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
That is some gun fetish..
Me gusta esas pistolas pequeñas calibre 22 lr .380. ACP. 25 ACP
🙋♂️ 🔫
Im gonna guess these were from a store that rhymes with Marco?
Thanks for screwing the little guy over John.
Little guy should buy necessities, not collectible guns.
@@mastertechnician3372 and who are you to dictate that? Crazy as it is some of these collectibles as you call it are actually quite numerous ontop of being functional and reliable firearms. So having the ability to get stuff ideally for cheap was a great thing especially for the little guy who either doesn't want high end modern stuff or wants something thats historically or mechanically proven.
In Deutschland gibt es die Bezeichnung "Police Departement " nicht!
1/2 way through i am sick of ppk's forever .... F.N. who has not captured f.n. they never learned
Locks gun shop?????
Why should Germans use the word department for an orgaisational unit, be it police or otherwise?
I know all the "local' gun shops, as I am local to you, and I'm willing to bet that the store had below market prices. So you swoop in, buy 'em for cheap and jack up the prices so that the only collectors who can afford them are your regular customers. John is nothing more than one of your sycophants.
Don’t hate the playa, hate the game.
If you know all the local gun shops then which one did you see them in? I doubt that gun shop got all these guns in at once. Because I know all my local ones and I only know of a couple that would even take these type of guns in and they usually want substantially more than they’re worth but they end up selling to someone with no experience. Everyone has access to the internet and can see what these guns sell for.
who's John?
The seller sets the price. It is the LGS to know his product and what it is worth.
This is literally what free market is. The seller sets a price he thinks is fair. Legacy sets a price they think is fair!
@@mfreund15448key word “they” lol
I don't see where the worthwhile profit margin is if you paid Retail or close to retail value?
PS: All Wars are Obviously Fake.
he didnt pay retail or else there isnt any money for him
i have mab 32 early serial number under 1000 bought 20 years ago let me no if intersted
Hi dear
I wana buy.
High quality firearms sadly representing a legacy of extreme immorality.
👉👍$😴👍👍
Great, another middle man to drive up the price and make a nice profit for himself.
How is it possible that someone can claim to be pro-life and pro-gun?
Easy. Different issues intirely
One is for protecting my children, the other is for protecting someone else's children.
How is it possible that you can be so completely lacking in logic??? If you're seriously that stupid...just ask and I will walk you through it! The real question is...how is it possible that someone can claim to be pro-choice yet anti-gun??? You think it's ok to kill a completely innocent baby...but not ok to defend your life against a violent attacker?
@michelmendoza1769 Prolifers are hypocrites (abortion is always the woman's choice), though having a gun for self-protection isn't wrong in any way. I live in a country with strict gun control, but I can still think for myself and won't eat shit just because the government is feeding it to me.
These people aren't deep thinkers. Philosophically both abortion and gun ownership are so called negative rights (no one has the moral right to deny you to do an abortion or to own a firearm).
You rattle off the information about these SS pistol! Has it occurred to you that innocent civilians were executed with that weapon? in 1941 weapons like these were used in the mass executions at Babayar by the Einsatz GRUPPEN how’s that for provenance?”
Yes...and some of them were used to defend Germany against Soviet invasion...a country that killed 40-60 million of its own people! Others were used by police to apprehend criminals. It just goes to show that firearms are simply tools...inherently incapable of good or evil. It completely depends upon the intent of the user. By your logic...should we be giving medals of honor to the firearms used to kill SS members? Blaming a firearm for the crimes of its owner is just as absurd as giving it a medal when used for good!
Private gun ownership used to be common in many European countries. Historically it was as easy (or easier) to legally get a gun in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Sweden etc than in the US today. Then gun control happened, and people seem to believe that Europe "always" had gun control, which was actually only the case in very few countries. For example, here in Sweden no gun control concerning purchasing or carrying a gun existed before 1934. My great grandmother's brother legally owned guns without any kind of silly license 100 years ago.
Doesn’t ‘PPK’ mean ‘ politzei pistole kriminal’ ? So no irony that the police mostly had the PPK?
