That was brilliant and much needed work of journalism. I have stopped watching the TV news and reading newspapers. It's in the freedom of the net that we are given issues that match our intellect. And friends please do understand that the two people in this interview are just as simple as us, don't expect them to give solutions. What we need to respect and appreciate is the effort put in, both in their own capacities have done their best. And that is why I term it as brilliant. And what do I take from this is, my outlook towards the people from North East. I don't know how much I can change the government. But what I know for sure is I can change myself and choose to give that much more care, concern understanding and help to my fellow Indians from North East who are around me. Thank you both for this class of journalistic work. I am subscribed to this channel. And would certainly read this book.
What is amazing in this case is: 1.Anubha wrote the book, she made the money. 2.Newslaundry did the interview, published it on youtube, they too made money. But My friend you, me and we all should understand that, its our problem and its we who should come up with the solution. Else these guys will keep on killing us, butcher us, earn promotions, medals, make money.... As its said _ No guts No glory.& Fight for your right.
Eye-opening! Our brothers and sisters from the NE have to be accepted in our cities, history and hearts. I have seen how they are treated in Delhi. But above all, we are duty-bound to give them justice and security within their own states.
what a lovely interview.. honestly, didnt think much of anubha in past.., (may be cause she had a pretty face.. i know i know ) .. but very impressed with details of her book.... will pick up soon.. and thank u madhu for being great like u are always
This is among the top five interview madhu has done in newslaundry. I love when Anubha says Sharmila is left alone to fight for the cause. I am surely buying this book.
Well done news laundry! This is the type of interviews and discussions that we want to see... Not some random "Bharat Mata Ki Jai" panel discussions with Samvit Patra screaming on our heads!
Happy you surfaced the real picture as it stands in the integral part of Indian territory. Northeast is as much a part of the nation as any other parts of the country. The plight of people living there never gets enough highlights as it should. Need of the hour to reform the entire region towards development to its utmost potential.
Anubha, I have just ordered your book on Amazon. Great job! AFSPA has been implemented in the same manner in Kashmir and your stories from NE echo the stories I have heard from Kashmir. I am not surprised that they view India and the Indian Army as the occupying force. We need a radical shift in our strategy to deal with our border states. But our politicians both in power & opposition are interested in amassing wealth and playing Mandir-Masjid and Cow games. Sorry, state of affairs and I am sometime ashamed to say that I am Indian.
This interview mooved me. The anecdote of army killing the boy who won a bravery award and then the mother continuing to get letters supposedly checking his welfare what an insensitive bureaucracy we have. Good job Anubha. I am sure her news portal Newsworthy will succeed.👍🏻👌
secessionist movement going on, and these Journalists should go in to those aspects also. Who is funding and these groups. What has happened to prechristian populations and how are they squeezed?
"You've won a couple of awards, I won't go through all of them." LOL, if that's just a couple of awards, why wouldn't you go through *both* of them?? It wouldn't take a lot of your time? It can actually show where the Author has got recognition. But anyways, thanks for the interview.
+Shreekant Agrawal I agree and I don't understand how she can smile and laugh while talking about something serious. Maybe she has a very positive outlook about everything...
if not read the book, the interview should at least inspire you to wiki and read about it. i understand international diplomacy is important but what about home ministry ?? in fact if you google "what did indian home minister do in 2015". the google listed "mha.nic.in" to be the fourth page in the list after ndtv cover on rajnath singh interview on "if required befitting reply to pakistan- rajnath singh" anyways, if you check the MHA website it list two important division among many: 1) North -East division 2) Naxal management division. so far only only act passed in those division is "Armed force Act in 1958" and nothing after that ... 1 PDF wo bhi 4 page ka. Bhai isse jyada effort class 10th ke project submission mein log marte hai. anyways if you what all laws passed in 2015 you ll notice these two items: 1) amendment to public damage property act 1984. 2) Governors (privilege and allowance rules) amendment rules , which happens every year. "kuch nahi governor ghar ka naukar hai, minister sahab ko shapath dilani hia pahuch jao" i am not at all surprise by these efforts. if they had done something i would have been hi madhu/ abhinadan if you ever read this comment we will like you to cover the story on Nepal- India crisis. we have quite a big napalese community here in india who are paying Indian taxes as they should, yet they see their loved ones being struggling daily over fuel because of this crisis. kudos to the wonderful interview madhu and best wishes to anubha for the book.keep up the good work
Its an interesting revelation but Anubha fails to impress with her disparate thoughts and inability to articulate as much her book presumably covers....
I wanted to ask Madhu whether she would still want to thrash the person not standing up for the Indian National Anthem or for not saluting the flag if he or she is someone from the Manipur and has lost someone dear because of AFSPA.
she never said it about people from manipur. and commenting about army from here would be simple. the issue is made complex and they have their limitations in a tough place. ppl unaware of that can simply rant.
if only you provide a little content, instead of beating around the bush a thousand times. The concern is really great and i hope you ll start to show some attention to atleast the governable parts of north east like assam, Meghalaya arunachal etc which really do have lots common with rest of India and help it integrate better and help its development, instead of showing the Congress and communist propaganda from delhi the whole day.
Staccato rendering of interviews .... interviewing skills are low .... madhu trehan makes her likes & dislikes of the interviewee obvious .... she tries to copy karan thapars style and fails .... immature squabbles with her interviewees, as if at a college café .... including mrs.sardesai (who actually was quite nice to this woman) .... hawkish in a negative way Does not hestitate to drop names, including bro arun shourie

Eye-opening! Our brothers and sisters from the NE have to be accepted in our cities, history and hearts. I have seen how they are treated in Delhi. But above all, we are duty-bound to give them justice and security within their own states.
These candid and detailed interviews are setting an example of how putting information in the public domain must be.
I'm so disturbed at my ignorance of the Manipur issue. Best interview ever.
Prayers for Sharmila. Hopefully something positive comes around in Manipur and she gives up her fast.
It's really good to listen to Ms Bhosale one on one! She is obviously extremely intelligent & eloquent! A genuinely modern Indian woman!
Thank you Anubha Bhonsle for your in depth research and coming up with this book.
what a lovely interview.. honestly, didnt think much of anubha in past.., (may be cause she had a pretty face.. i know i know ) .. but very impressed with details of her book.... will pick up soon..

So in-depth
Well done news laundry! This is the type of interviews and discussions that we want to see... Not some random "Bharat Mata Ki Jai" panel discussions with Samvit Patra screaming on our heads!
Thnk you anubhaji for putting up about manipur to the world of humanity
Happy you surfaced the real picture as it stands in the integral part of Indian territory. Northeast is as much a part of the nation as any other parts of the country. The plight of people living there never gets enough highlights as it should. Need of the hour to reform the entire region towards development to its utmost potential.
way better than the clothesline I just watched. Madhu is well prepared here.
great interview content. Looking forward to reading the book.
a radical change in the constitution is needed to solve manipur's problem.

What about Church Politics......atent they known to convert Gullibles....

So beautiful anubha bhonsle
Some years back Outlook India had done a similar detailed analysis of how NSCN operates in Nagaland
Truly genuine journalism ❤️
I don't see the same sensitivity when discussing Kashmir.
I think this journalist is sensible and sensitive.
Worth watching ❤
Madhu Trehan loves her own voice so much that she doesn't let the guest speak.
Really heartful
secessionist movement going on, and these Journalists should go in to those aspects also. Who is funding and these groups. What has happened to prechristian populations and how are they squeezed?

I think 'couple' was meant to be sarcastic.. Shes won quite a few..
That was Crass!! 😖
Superb interview
After 20 year seen you mam
Why haven't we watched this interview yet? Why haven't we read the book? Why still, don't we care?
Why don't we see people like these; talking like this, on TV?
its sad but many ppl care about celebrity cleavage
Cause the idiot box is there to make you stupid.
Why is the camera constantly on the host (Madhu Trehan)? Shouldn't it be on the guest of the show?
Two of the few womens who can talks sensibly yet be adorable.
And sorry it sound sexist.
Amazing 😍😍
She might be a great author and journalist but Anubha's verbal communication is not clear. Her thoughts are really random.
+Shreekant Agrawal I agree and I don't understand how she can smile and laugh while talking about something serious. Maybe she has a very positive outlook about everything...
all journos smile apathetically, but somewhere deep within this one, (Maybe) the bells of conscience ring...
Khaplang my brother
Whats Anubha Bhosale doing these days ??
The interviewer asks questions which are not clear. She is all over the place.
absolutely

hi madhu/ abhinadan if you ever read this comment we will like you to cover the story on Nepal- India crisis.
we have quite a big napalese community here in india who are paying Indian taxes as they should, yet they see their loved ones being struggling daily over fuel because of this crisis.
kudos to the wonderful interview madhu and best wishes to anubha for the book.keep up the good work

Its an interesting revelation but Anubha fails to impress with her disparate thoughts and inability to articulate as much her book presumably covers....

communication is not clear, randomly talk.
notwithstanding the seriousness and eye-opening nature of d talk, dis girl is hot!

5-15% seems pretty low Tax rates!!!
+Bhavin Tolia they have to pay to govt too
+shobhit todi

Ummmm.... uhhh ..... awww : liberally peppers her conversations, making her sound like an unprepared interviewer
ashamed of Indian army
Shut up you idiot .
Ashamed of idiots.
Clearly no body in your family has ever served in the army else you would have known the sacrifices made by out gallant men.
madhu ji pls stop partying ur face is yellowing
Her communication is not clear...not articulate... can't understand or follow what she is talking. She talks randomly..
Her communication is good, your ears don't want to listen what she is talking about is totally different thing.
