Gorditas, for those who dont know, are a flattened piece of corn flour dough cooked through on a comal(flat iron). Think handmade tortilla but thicker. Because of the thickness you're able slice it open and add filling.
There’s 2 versions of the bread taco in korea, the soft and crunchy. Crunchy is basically the chalupa. Filling and sauce a bit different but basically the same
A chalupa isn't crunchy ..it's deep fried soft dough ..like an Indian taco ..it isn't even a deep fried gordita it's something else ..but if it's crunchy in America those ones we send back and tell them it has sat out for 2 days can we get a fresh cooked one

I've never had beef in taco bell, but a chicken chalupa with tapatio is spectacular. If you eat it fresh out the drive thru it has a really nice crispy and soft feeling. If you reheat it in a microwave, all the cheese is nice and melted, the shell is really soft and it all melts in your mouth. Absolute heaven in my mouth.
I have a Taco Bell just literally 2 minutes from me and I have never tried any of these things, not anything but tacos, burrito supreme and taco salad and I’m 52 and now I feel like I have cheated myself my entire life thanks to all of you and mostly Ben, you make everything look so yummy. You also make me remember those times I to had to struggle and eat very little so I should be way more grateful then I am!

U need to try a baleada, it’s kind of what you’re describing, it’s a thick tortilla w beans, crema and fresh cheese. U can add meat to it or eggs and it’s served w spicy pickled cabbage…. So good
Taco Bell in the States runs more promos than most fast food restaurants. Recently TB relaunched the Mexican Pizza and the long waiting lines began and TB sold out of stock very quickly. bruh the 3 styles of gorditas been gone since like the late 90s in the states it sucks they were my go-to. the cheesy gordita crunch is the only remaining, it's pretty good but one of the highest dollar items for not much food.

Gorditas in Mexico are completely different. Theyre essentially a 1/2 inch thick disk of fried tortilla dough with meat and toppings
