The very best part of your videos is the music, the scenery, and you just talking about your life. I’m a therapist in Texas. I do a lot of coaching and teaching, like you. (Not on TH-cam so much, but on Facebook.) I just want to support and validate you in that you don’t have to worry about finding fascinating or profound things to talk about or present… Just your presence is quite soothing for all of your viewers. You could show videos of your backyard for 30 minutes and everybody would love it! You could talk about your family, or cooking, or your day… and everybody just loves you! You have something very important to “transmit“ to this world. Thank you for the contribution you make to all of us on the planet. Love, Paige
Thank you so much for sharing this. You’re voicing exactly what I’ve been feeling and guided to. If you and I would have a coffee together I am sure we’d have so much to share and understand each other without using many words. Thank you for being here. I feel gratitude our paths have crossed, I feel our connection ✨
I feel our connection, too. Thank you for letting me see your beautiful face and heart several times a week. (I watch during my rest/recharge time.) All the love for your heart, my friend. 💕
Today is a good day, my new favorite TH-camr (you) posted a new video!!! I just love your beautiful content. Thank you for posting, I can already tell that your channel is going to absolutely grow with so many followers very soon.
Fun shopping trip. I also love that you take us along on the drive to your destinations. I have always been more drawn to the French villages and countryside than to Paris and other cities.
On even the "grayest" of days, the drive still so very beautiful. Love EMMAUS and I spied several things that would have made their way home with me - the pottery you bought, beautiful. Yes, I agree it becomes much more of a treasure hunt when you have to unearth a piece from ice and snow. Thanks for letting us tag along!
@@FrenchCountryLife Loved the laundry basket at 11:22. The 2 bottles with white caps at 12:43. The little white dish with dog in center at 14:09. So many tempting things to buy Marloes! I’m filling my basket as you show us .. 😆 When I take things to the charity shop my husband always says .. “and don’t come out with anything” 🤣
That was fun! So strange to see all these collectibles frozen to tables and covered with snow! Btw…. Even tho I live in the South, as a dedicated flea marketer I have learned to always keep a full length coat, mittens and hat in my car in the Winter because so much “stuff” is outside. You shoukd maybe do this too. (It was 4 degrees in Georgia a few weeks ago! Brrrrrr)
I am Dutch and grew up in The Netherlands so quite used to the cold. But if I were to go somewhere where everything is outside I’d be better prepared 🙃
I have enjoyed your vlog but I think you are doing more brocante shopping vlogs, often picking up and featuring many ordinary items we could find in antique shops anywhere. I prefer your other activities- gardening, renovating and touring homes. Love seeing nature there.
Olav, the planes 13:31! Some of the old tools are worth looking at and still can be very usable and sometimes as good as the more expensive modern ones. The stone buildings are fascinating and they seem to be everywhere.
@@FrenchCountryLife lol, left side of the table, carpenter's planes. 3 wood objects (one short 2 long) with metal & handles sticking out of the top, next to the vases with painted flowers, Olav should know what they are.
Fraaie video weer, merci. Groetjes uit Eindhoven.
Videos like these are so wonderful, but equally frustrating lol. I love to see all the treasures, but I find myself yelling at the screen to “ look there, no, not there, over there!” And “ the naked lady! How can you walk right pass the naked lady!” It seems like the things I find most interesting are the things the person filming finds the least interesting. In the end, the wonderful definitely outweighs any frustration though. Thank you for taking us along. It can’t be completely comfortable to film wherever you go.
Oh yes I hear you! We all have our personal taste and I sometimes feel the same about seeing how they put items that in my view are treasures, just out there to fade away because they think it isn’t beautiful. Also, I now go in to find specific items that I need for the house, so I discard other beautiful items in an attempt to not get tempted and to stick to my list. It can be so overwhelming to shop at these places when I don’t put some kind of focus on the search! Scrolling back to the video now though to find the naked lady! 😉
I love brocante shopping, but vintage/second hand shops in Canada is pretty boring and usually full of junk. I guess partly because we don't really have a long history too....relatively new country compared to European countries. I would love to return to France and UK to do more antique hunting. I collect antique mantel clocks and silver wares.
I just found your videos. What an amazing shopping trip. Can you give the location of this place? I am planning my second trip to France. My first trip was a surprise by my husband so I didn’t have time to look up many places for vintage shopping. I look forward to watching your lively videos.
It's an Emmaüs, they are charity shops that you'll found throughout France. Just look them up in Google maps in the area that you're visiting. Ours is in Burgundy, in a tiny village called "Sasoge". Enjoy your next trip to France!
Ahh een Emmaüs..... Reuze bedankt! Ik woon sinds juli 2022 in Franrijk en kan nog wel wat spulletjes gebruiken in en om het huis. Heel erg leuk om je flogs te zien! Dankjewel voor het delen! Fijne dag!
I would like to send you some coupe glasses with etching design. I collected a dozen but only use a few. I’d send you half of them as a ‘thank you’. These past few days I’ve binged watch your videos.
@@CC-qt3rl I really appreciate that! I keep hearing that farmhouse has gone out of trend. My thoughts are, maybe for those trend changing people who enjoy changing the look of their home every 6 month because my grandparents , my parents and I have farming in our bones. It's not just a trend for me. I truly enjoy farm life sheep ducks chicken pig fish dog cats any animals the out doors in general rustic vintage antique furniture rugs original stain glass window everything old.
Me too! Our house is a traditional farmhouse for the Burgundy region, built with local limestone which probably took 10 years or more. While renovating we’re learning so much about traditional craftsmanship. And while decorating the house I look for the authentic items that were used. To be honest, what’s called “farmhouse” or “french farmhouse” in the interior design world, especially in the U.S., is in my view often way off and really not authentic at all. Or maybe better said: I don’t like that style and it is not what I see here in France in real country and farmhouses. So when they say “it’s gone out of trend” my first response is: was it ever really on trend? Not in the authentic way in my opinion. To me it feels like a timeless style, real. The authentic version will never be out of style in my opinion. We live in an agricultural village and even though I have lived in the city most of my life, I feel much more at home here and love to learn from our local farmers about their work, nature, the animals. I admire their wisdom and feel grateful that they share it with me.
Speaking of trends, ''toile'' print has always been popular here in the US and I love it for upholstery, curtains, table toppers and pillows. One day in Charlotteville, Virginia, I went into a huge fabric shop and asked where the toile section was. Oh, they said, it isn't popular any more, so we put the bolts we had on sale and got rid of it. What !!?? This is a very traditional area, classic style and antiques for decor. i also love the Quimper pottery and hand-painted things for the kitchen.
