      In my job we recently went to a partial-teleworking system, and the Director announced that we would have 2 compulsory days in the office. As she was talking she said that the reason is that she needed to be able to see everyone in person, and just out loud she said "you might say that then I should come in every day, but I diverge" to go on to explain that every one should come in the two same days she will, instead 😏 this felt like the same non-realisation. Needless to say I have changed branch since to avoid that specific director!!!!

      @@Rechtauch My boss tried something similar a while ago. I work for the online section at my job, and my work happens entirely on the internet. Yet, at one point, he decided that the five of us who work exclusively online, should attend weekly meetings in person "because he wanted to see us". I was like, "And who do you think will be working while we are traveling an hour to and from the office for a 30-minute meeting 95 to 100 percent of which doesn't even concern us at all?" I really, really hate things that don't make sense, and I really, really hate to waste money with useless crap, like sitting in the car for an hour back and forth for a meeting that doesn't even concern me.

    I feel this woman is genuine in her advice, which is overall very ethical and kind, and that means her situation will likely go one of two ways: she'll get seriously burned by this "business" or she'll amp up the delusion to cope and turn into a monster. That's the only way I can see this going for her, imo.

      Ok I get the comment but common, it's honestly likely someone owns something from chanel. This brand is in nearly every major metropolitan city so it's not that difficult to purchase something from there. She said she's married, her husband seems supportive...he could have easily purchased her a christmas gift or something from there. There's a fine line between breaking down a video for fact and then commenting assumptions about people and trying to use something ( that someone is clearly proud of) against their character to put them down. I genuinely don't think this channel is about this and I think there needs to be a mindset shift with some of yall. This channel furthermore proves having a monat car doesnt make you rich BUT being jealous or seeing someone own something more pricey ALSO won't make anyone richer. No need to be bitter.

    • @agirlnamedkeith
      @agirlnamedkeith 2 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      @@yanasopinion4580 I doubt she meant it in that way. I think she’s saying that someone in Monat could assume they can buy Chanel with Monat money. Also, people like to collect designer shopping bags. A lot of shops will give you a bag if you ask for one. The bag adds to the disillusion.

    @34:30 I absolutely love that she's basically admitted that the ones who have the most success, the "instant" success are the ones who come into the MLM with a network, with connections and with a big social media following BEFORE joining the MLM. This flies in the face of their usual selling point they use to recruit of "you don't need a huge social media following to make money! I only had X followers on IG/friends on FB and I made money". It's all so much BS.

    I teach in public schools (Western Canada) and I have no desire to be a principal. The going salary for a high school principal in my district is about $150,000, but they are first at the school, last to leave, and they have to be at every school event, not to mention district meetings. Basically, they have no life outside of work. I am happy to be able to actually go home and not worry about some emergency that needs to be resolved at 5 a.m.

However, everything a recruit will hear from her upline’s upline, company propaganda, conventions etc, once they sign on, will directly contradict everything she’s saying. Has anyone else heard of any other profession where "personal development" is pushed so hard? Literally any other where they tell you to consume _specific and singular_ types of media as literally part of your work, on the clock? Because I personally can't think of any and it always comes across as simply a cultish method to keep their members subservient since I'm sure if a "personal development book" told them to get tf out of an MLM they'd tell them to stop _that_ kind of personal development, aka critical thinking and free will.

    • @trashketchup1497

      What's scary is that business coaches (non-network marketing coaches) peddle this. It's extremely common, and every coach I invested in (to grow my consultancy) talked about doing all this personal development stuff and didn't actually help with the real business development aspects.
      Boss Babe culture has definitely infiltrated online business space.

      I didn’t support MLM but personal development is extremely important if you own a business. Marketing, good product, customer services are factors in increasing sales but other factors such as your own self, you as a person, mindset, that matters too. And that really impact results. Because business is about leadership. To become leader/employer you have to have qualities and not just regular qualities but leadership qualities. And these are polished and learn in the personal development/ self improvement class ☺️

    • @xstanstanstan
      @xstanstanstan 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@kishyussof The "personal development" industry is full of people getting rich off of convincing you they know how to get rich. So much of those books and videos are complete bullshit and toxic positivity and promote a "one size fits all" approach to life which will never work because every individual is different, everyone has different life experiences, different mental and physical health problems, etc. That is why therapists can't write one book with all of the answers to solve everyone's health issues.
      Sometimes some people will find something that really resonates with what they need and who they are and those are where you get the testimonials, but for most people self improvement media just serves to make them feel ashamed they aren't doing better.

    Yes, because there won't be much hair left when you're done!
    But in all seriousness, even if it wasn't just an excuse to explain why it isn't working as promised ("you're hair is falling out because you're not using it right!"), I'm not going to use a product that's overly complicated. I am too lazy for that. If it has more steps than apply, lather, and rinse, I'm out. Products being sold to a general audience should generally easy to use.

      Ha! Years ago, I worked at a call center that (among other things) handled the order line for a line of African-American skin care. I don’t remember the name of the guy who developed it, but as part of our training to take the orders for it, we watched the 30-minute infomercial (actually we watched several versions of it.)
      What really exemplified this particular product line/routine was the use of ice cubes. The infomercial started with the actor getting a bowl of ice cubes from the freezer. Then they rubbed an ice cube all over their face. Then they splashed water. Then they applied the cleansing cream. Then they rinsed, and rubbed another ice cube. Then toner. Then ice cube. Then spot treatment. Then ice cube. Then pre/moisturizer. Then ice cube. Then moisturizer.
      That was the night routine; the morning routine included filling the ice cube bowl with water and dunking the face in it. before the final moisturizer.
      The dude who developed this routine was really puzzled and annoyed that his sales weren’t higher, and we (and our management) were like, “Dude, what did you expect? Your system is like $200 and requires half an hour twice a day plus an entire freezer-full of ice cubes. It’s ridiculous. People see that huge long process and just nope right out of there.”

The main thing is it smelled horrible! I couldn’t put my finger on it. And then my husband would hug me or snuggle and say, “babe your hair smells like cat piss!” THAT was it! The horrible smell. It DID smell litter box’ish. It felt so rough and seemed matted up. Trust me, having long, super thick, frizzy, curly, red hair- you certainly don’t want what this shampoo and conditioner offered .i also got the usual “yoire not doing it right”
      From multiple reps. I’ve been washing my hair for 30+ yrs, I’ve somehow managed hair washing in that time.
      Edited to add: I also got the oil and it honestly worked, but didn’t smell great (not as strong as shampoo and conditioner) and way overpriced. I recently bought an awesome $7 one at Walmart. I’ve also got big named ones from Ulta or whatever STILL less than $20

    Besides how much people make, the only other thing needed to be said to recruits is that almost no money is made from product sales, it’s from recruiting, and that no one can rank up without recruiting. That’ll get a lot of people to not want to join any mlm. A lot of people would rather sell the products instead of selling the mlm lifestyle. To me, selling the mlm lifestyle seems harder ‘cause it seems more like bragging or flaunting. That’s if the products the seller has to sell are good products that aren’t overpriced than the average pricey competitors that most people know about. So I guess in a mlm, selling the lifestyle is easier.

    Lmfao most teachers don’t want to do admin! Most teachers would rather deal with LESS red tape, bureaucracy, and angry parents and more time teaching students.
    Being principal or admin is a whole different can of worms than teaching students! I’d say a small fraction of teachers want to do that kind of leadership work, but it has nothing to do with how long they’ve been teaching. It’s so funny that she used the teacher comparison instead of like, getting promoted in a business or going from dishwasher to executive chef at a restaurant 😂😂😂

    I have a few questions for her. If she makes $13,000 per YEAR, I assume this is before taxes. So it’s less than $1,000 per month. OK, here are my questions: who pays for your house?? You mentioned a basement; so I am deducing you live in a house. It could be a condo. Regardless, who pays for that? Who pays for your cute sweater in this video?? Who pays for your cute lace top underneath?? Jewelry?? Who pays for your Chanel bag?? Who pays for your utilities?? Who pays for your health insurance, if you have that?? Who pays for the gym equipment in the basement?? What about children?? I could go on, but I think I made the point that she is advertising a hobby at best. A hobby she can afford because somewhere else there is a source of income paying the bills as well as the little luxuries. Hannah, I love your personality, your intelligence, and your kitties!!!! 🥰🥰🥰

    As for the relationship building part, I think that some businesses thrive with that without being scammy. It's less about being friends with people and more about networking.
    For me, that's how I've been able to include speaking on stages and in schools and doing live workshops in different nonprofits. And it led to meeting people who ended up becoming clients who I never would've met.
    I just wanted to chime in and make that distinction because legitimate service-based businesses can thrive through relationship marketing tactics.
    But again, just because it works for a legitimate business, it doesn't mean it's valid for network marketing.
