WAHH THE SWITCH BETWEEN LOW/HIGH IS SO GOOD
You know, I always had an interesting interpretation of this song. I never saw it as an abuser forcing the singer into submission and obedience into being like them, them, but instead the singer becoming a like the abuser in a literal way and eventually overpowering the abuser, flipping the roles.
Like "looking into a mirror" being them saying "I became like you" or "kinda wanna see you cry" is them revealing they plan on returning the abuse.
Actually, I just realized one of the faces the "Copy Cat" makes is a very evil one covered in shadows, so I might not be alone in this.
i honestly never saw it as what you just described, i always saw it as a person that's obsessed with another person, so obsessed they start acting like them, and chance their appearance to look as much as they like them, but its interesting to see what other people think

ok so I love both the original song and artist and I'm not the type to watch covers unless there is a specific reason but the art just screamed watch me so I did. I really like this cover and I love how he's kind of whispering and I always loved songs where the singer is whisper singing. also the song was changed enough to be worth listening to but still the copycat I love. so in short I love this cover.

edit- i wrote this comment before realising that it's an old cover. you surely improved a lot :) all issues described below are not valid anymore. maybe some tendencies, but that makes you kinda extraordinary

there where a few moments where u have forgotten about your breath support, especially in the lower parts. when u cut out your vocal chords tension remember that u still need to have enough of air in ur lungs to support every note. sometimes your consonants are too long, so in addition to your breathiness of ur voice that makes strange 'snake-like' sounds. i also hear that in the higher parts you sometimes scream instead of singing. i would recommend to focus a lil more on ur mixed register and tension u have in ur voice to make your sounding more cohesive and assure yourself that the 'breathiness' isn't artificial in ur voice (and it is audible even through all of the effects u added)
anyway! it was really nice to listen too :) i envy u your courage, and wish u good luck, boy!
The end of this song unleashed something weird in me. I used to really like MLP as a kid, and I'd watch stuff on that on TH-cam. Some of that stuff was really not for kids. This song gives me the same feeling as those videos did. Like, seeing something your not supposed to.
