    ill tell you what, ive been at the gym for ~5 years now. tried this that and the other. lately I felt like my body just hit a solid plateau. All my lifts and such were strong and I was content, but bored. About 2 weeks ago I started watching your videos and replicating/incorporating them into my workouts. All I can say is wow. I love the way you describe things in a technical sense but not over complicated. Your workouts promote the muscle/mind connection so well and have been destroying my workouts. I think my favorite was your boulder shoulder workout. I really never appreciated the amount of isolation you can get in your delts, with appropriate light weight. My muscles were rocked, with lighter weight and really focusing on isolating individual muscles during each one. You have become my go to for looking for workouts to do to mix things up and hit all those hidden muscles I have been ignoring. I can finally see some smaller cuts and muscles popping out all over the place, especially in my back. I have always needed to work on a wider back/lats and your videos are doing it. Keep it up. I really love the layout of your videos.

    I have something to say James, please read. I lift weights for a decade now, I'm experienced individual and I constantly train my lifting techniques, I always change everything up: exercises, grip, rep range (weights), barbell,dumbbell, machines etc. But recently I saw one video of you talking about changing angles for chest development where you gave a few examples, and I have to admit that somehow it gave me ideas and it has also changed a bit the way how I think about lifting weights for bodybuilding purposes. Not only that, I started to try few arm angle variations that I use to ignore before in order to avoided any potential injury, and that makes me feel good, and I actually saw my pecs developing areas that I could not bring out before. It's weird to say, but it's pushing my gains even further sculpting areas that I could never imagine to hit before. Thanks for the awesome videos, I guess not everyone will get your message, but I got it just right. You are a very good professional. Best regards, Carlos Figueiredo.

    I find the best exercises for hamstring development and function are
    Stiff legs
    Glute ham raise
    Sprinting (sleds, bungee cord)
    Single leg squats
    Backward monster walks w/ sled
    Doing leg curls doesn't have as much carryover to performance and function.

    Great video, I'm learning a ton about attachments and anatomy. Question, though: Ben Pakulski talks about length and tension differently; he recommends multiple force angles to get max resistance at different parts of the ROM/strength curve. This includes putting your muscle at a leverage disadvantage sometimes. You seem to focus on putting yourself at an advantage by lengthening the muscle you're targeting prior to starting the movement. the Is there a reason for that? Thanks, James.

    Hey James, just a quick question. When you mentioned the techniques for Hamstring Curls, specifically seated, you mentioned to keep your feet relaxed; I've also found that if I flex my glutes while performing the curl, I feel a really nice contraction in my hamstrings. Could you please give me a little breakdown of what's happening as far as muscle activation and whether or not I'm actually getting a good rep in for my hams with this or if it just feels like a good one?

  • @chriscliche3571
    @chriscliche3571 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hey James, I've been waiting for this one to ask this question as I know that you can relate, I have torn my ACL and the meniscus in both my knees, I don't seem to have any problems with leg extensions or curls and can squat with a decent amount of weight but I have the hardest time with Lunges. I know people say if it hurts don't do it but I love the strength that comes from a Lunge.
    My question, is there something that I can do that is similar to build up the strength or a way to build up my lunges again? My pain seems to come when I'm popping back up and seems to be on the side of my knee. Thanks bud!! I can't even begin to explain how much you have helped me with these videos. 60 Day Revolution helped me lose the weight in a quick amount of time but these targeting videos are helping me with some great size and definition.

    @kylejones1614 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    I've always incorporated things like lunges, stiff legged deadliest, and lying leg curls to build hamstrings, but haven't had the success I've wanted. I was just curious if you or anybody has any suggestions for movements to help get that gluts-hamstring tie-in. I'd love that inner thigh "rope" look, just can't find a way to target the inner part of the hamstrings...
