If there was a "love" button to push instead of "like," I would push it a thousand times! So much youthful beauty and grace! Every country should embrace this wonderful tradition! Much love and admiration from the beautiful State of Tennessee in the United States of America!
There is a place and time for everything. These timely traditions should not disappear, but be incorporated in today’s youth culture and in schools. Here these young men and women will have the social graces needed for their adulthood. They will be well- rounded even if they do not attend a ball again. Congratulations to you all; you all waltzed so beautifully.
Surely meaningful moments for everyone present. And even for those watching, reminiscing of what oneself felt many, many moons ago back in Austria. Thanks!
Giving honor is respect in action. Those who don’t teach respect, can one expect it from their own children? The family is the base of civilization. Without respect and giving honor, there is no civilization. Maybe there were some that didn’t want to be there is not the point. They participated, they learned, they gave honor and that has it’s own reward.
This is the archetype of America. Thanks to not only the Debs but their families who've sponsored them and supported them as they took the risk, and made the commitment. My heart leaps for the thrill the Debs just experienced. Truly a successful part of the Canadian Dream.
I see the young ladies enter with their fathers, who then present their daughters to their partners. Do you have to be Hungarian to be in the Magyar ball? If so, and if I were of debutant age, my ancestry on my father's side is Hungarian. I'd love to be in such a dance - but it does require taking dance lessons. These are special waltzes.
Shelly could have been one belonging to her fathers family.. we gave it great thought.. It takes MONEY ALSO to keep up.. Family left it up to shelly .she did not want it.. We respected her wishes.
A debutante is someone being introduced to society (hence the word root word debut in debutante)…the young men are usually just called escorts.. I don’t know why they are called cavaliers here.
What I dislike is the girls being handed over from their father to their male escort. (I don't like it at weddings, either.) Can't girls stand on their own two feet? But long live the patriarchy, I guess.
It is obviously not over if parents are willing to have their sons snd daughters follow or learns out their tradition. It is a legacy passed on. Whether they appreciate the experience or not at a later time in their lives, they have had the opportunity to show how they can excel at this endeavor. Their lives are enriched with a variety of experiences from the past as they live out their lives in the present and in their futures.
Hey, I thought it was out with the old and in with the new? This is part of the last several century’s; so what’s up with this old tradition? It might contaminate the Gen-X’s etc., etc..
Some parents want their children at the end of their schooling to enjoy tradition and be coordinated and well-rounded. We have a lot if the new and that is fine and has its place, but to introduce customs and traditions of the past, their past, is also important. When they are old, they will remember these days when they waltzed so beautifully. Remember, these are young people yet. They will age gracefully because they were taught how to be graceful.
Very nice, I danced as a debutant 48 years ago. I have wonderful memories.... I am so glad my parents had the idea to tell me to participate! Loved every minute of it. My parents came too and had a great time too! Coming to Canada from Hungary at 16 it was really a magical event.❤
Keep these Beautiful Traditions FOREVER. Blessings from Mexico. 2022

Nada mejor que un vals para debutar en sociedad.¡Bello!
Kár,hogy csak a hölgyek mosolyognak,az urak nagyon komolyak.
A tánc különben nagyon szép.

Shelly could have been one belonging to her fathers family.. we gave it great thought.. It takes MONEY ALSO to keep up.. Family left it up to shelly .she did not want it.. We respected her wishes.

Mein liebes Mädchen , hattest du tatsächlich ein Brautkleid gekauft.
They had this during Covid?
Why are some of the ladies introduced as debutante but not others
It’s their first performance/showing in society. 😊
They really need to make a rule about overweight woman being in debutante.
no
What's special about being a "Cavalier" and a "Debutante"?
A debutante is someone being introduced to society (hence the word root word debut in debutante)…the young men are usually just called escorts.. I don’t know why they are called cavaliers here.
I wondered the same thing.
🥰❤💃🏻🧚♀️
The long gloves worn by debutante women are called "opera gloves".
Why "opera"?

The poor guy who got stuck with the fatty; story of my life
Don't act like you don't have a big fat beer belly. At least these girls are doing something with their lives.
The time for this is OVER!!
Why? If they want to do it, who cares?
What I dislike is the girls being handed over from their father to their male escort. (I don't like it at weddings, either.) Can't girls stand on their own two feet? But long live the patriarchy, I guess.

Correction to my first sentence: ‘ learn from their traditions.’
Девушкам не хватает грации и при чём всем.
Кто же такие участницы бала?
