Hi Mr. TAYM, I just want to say a big thanks for this review video. When I first viewed it I wasn't looking for a new machine having just bought my CB300R Honda in March, but I made the mistake of dropping into 5-Ways Kawasaki in Hull, spotted this Z500SE in lime green metallic and fell instantly in love, then I sat on it and became besotted. Then I got to thinking, isn't this the bike TAYM road along side the Hybrid ? So, I revisited your channel and here it is. And what a great little twin. It sounds fantastic. I'm even considering, if it works out, going down to one bike (ONE BIKE ?) and selling my NC750X DCT too. I've said this already, but we don't need these massive engines and weighty machines. The UK speed limits are seemingly reducing all the time and who wants really to do motorway speeds. The faster you go, the less you see and I ride my bikes to see as much as possible and try to forget the day to day drudge of work etc. If I can sell my 5 month old CB I'll go for the lime green colour, but the fizzy strawberry and the mint cracknell green makes for a difficult choice, but I'm leaning towards the mint cracknell. I have watched the video now for the third time, just to listen to the engine alone. Thanks again and please keep muttering. Best wishes, Glyn M.
Thanks Glyn 😁 absolutely right 😁 and I am currently going through a phase where I am noticeably riding faster and faster and beginning to miss the ride if you know what I mean 😁 I need to get on some slower bikes I think 😁
Getting old I could do with that walk mode! Have to have a sit down once I’ve brought a bike out of the garage and turned it around. And from the workshop around back, which needs a ramp, I have to have a lay down before I go out! At last electric finds a way! Something useful! And saving the environment! 🤣
Good comparison TAYM, I'd take the infernal combustion engine myself 😅, but if I bought a 500 twin I'd be buying a Honda CB500F, but anyway please seek help to prevent you from" turning green " 😅 as you know I do love the countryside of our green and pleasant land , but going electric when I still have a choice is not happening, especially at a 12k starting price! 😅😅 "shocking ", eh? Have a great week👍 Cheers Mel 🍻
Great comparison TAYM. As much as I am a gear head, if hybrid technology allows us more time to avoid a bland EV-only world, I think it’s a wise choice. But in the meantime.. I’m keeping my bikes that fizz and pop 😄
Thanks JJ 😁 that’s my thinking on it 😁 under the uk legislation, it only buys manufacturers an extra 5 years 🤔 I think it’s 2035 before they must stop hybrids and make only EVs 🤔
Morning TAYM thanks for doing back to back comparison🤔 however I’m watching this after the horrible murders in Southport so in a somber mood😔 carry on that man keep on keeping on Caio for now tat ta 😢
Hmmm interesting one TAYM I am quite glad ina way that I will not have to get involved with all this hybrid and electric stuff cos I ain't keen 😉 I did note that the let's call it ordinary version still had the huge radiator as well .I think you are right the Eliminator to me looks better and I am sure is much more comfortable although that may be an age thang 😉. but for a transformer style they do look pretty good 😊Hope things aren't to bad on the covid front 👌👍
That added a lot of depth to the hybrid. Love the 500, but the hybrid looks very good as well. I wonder if the hybrid would draw more in the looks department if it had the splash of color that the 500 sports. Very interesting video TAYM!
Oh! dear. My old worn out hips will never lift my leg over the pillion seat. Why does it need all that space above the rear wheel for a bike that will rarely take a pillion? Ideally I'd take a hacksaw to the rear subframe and have a flat seat on it. It's a style that misses me by a country mile. Good comparison video. Well done TAYM.
Enjoyed the vlog video I’m Still too old school for anything like that And it as I said in other videos reminds me of a praying mantis as all these modern bike do They are all starting to look alike to me tho just different colors And I agree with another person on this post WHY THE back end is up in the air makes no sense Guess it’s an age thing I’m 6’2” and it would be a challenge getting on the thing😮😮 Enjoyed the double comparison with two separate opinions Thanks for the ride along 🦩🦩
A Kawasaki z750 4 cylinder modern classic 77hp 85Nm to fill that gap between the z650rs 67hp 59Nm & the much more powerful z900.Their was a rumor about a 750 4 cylinder but that was about a year ago but would be marvelous.
@TAYM I saw a video about a z750 4 cylinder modern classics about a year ago but was just a rendition of what it might look like & they were thinking 🤔 about it. Probably won't happen cause there a 650 twin & a 900 but I reckon a 750 fill a gap cause not everyone wants a 90-105hp 900cc bike.A 750 4 cylinder modern classic still a Naughty Boy bike but 900 is Very Naughty Boy bike. Not alot 4cylinders around as well & 750 be little cheaper & attractive to those who want a little less power maybe lower seat height.
@@ruahinesrider Im all up for 750's coming back into vogue,if Kawasaki don't make what you suggest how about using the rolling chassis of the Zephyr ( 1992 - 1998 ) and grafting a Z750 Engine (2007 - 2012 ) into it ?.
@paultanton4307 If enough people talk about they look into it.I know the idea 💡 has been floated by Kawasaki just hope they follow through with it.I think 🤔 they a bit hesitant cause got 650 & 900 but they've played with the idea.Their is a market for 750 4 cylinder modern classic & not everyone wants the power of the 900 & their is enough gap hp wise between 650 67hp & 900 100 odd hp so about 77-80hp & 80-85Nm.I reckon it would be very popular.
Morning mate. Nice back2kcab, I'd settle for a mix of electric/ICE if we had to choose between the devil and the deep blue sea, but obviously I'd choose petrol given the freedom to choose (which is unlikely, this will be coming in the next 10years). I do like the walk mode!
As your mate said in the video, how long till the battery needs replacing and at what cost. We need to decide the future not the politicians who don't live in the real world. No one is buying electric bikes and I doubt many will pay £12K when you can get a fantastic petrol bike for £12K You could buy 2 or 3 Royal enfields for that price!
Morning taym I’d take the petrol any day electric not for me and as you say petrol will see me out I think I’m 64 so another 10 yrs ill probably be finished anyway if not I’ll have to think about it and also it could of been camera angle but the electric looks a bit longer than the petrol ride safe
I agree with your friend on the looks, I like the looks of the Z500 more, and it seems a bit more compact. I'm a shorter guy at 5'8" though. I'll be 59 later this year. I'm hoping that I can ride gas engine bikes until my time is done. If they want to convert cars, trucks, and other larger vehicles and tractors, that won't bother me as much. Just leave motorcycles alone until we can have Star Wars Speeder Bikes. 👍 😁

Excellent comparison. The back to back adds something and definitely brought out a lot of issues. Would like to see more reviews along these lines 👍👍
