I officially love this guy-uninstalling wp and then reinstalling it via this method has been the only thing that seems to have resolved the 403 forbidden errors that have plagued me for weeks... Fingers crossed things stay functional now!

just unzip the WordPress zip file in the public_html directory and insert the database information in the wp-config.php. It's easy. Follow the instruction.
