I appreciated this movie because they captured the "silent video game protagonist" character perfectly. He played a mini game in the safe room, drank health drinks constantly, and even the NPCs had typical funny npc dialogue. It was the videogame representation in film form I have always wanted and there isn't even a game 🤣
i never thought of it that way lol!!!
let's be honest, there is a game. 5 nights at freddy's
At first I thought silent protagonists made more sense in video games because you're supposed to be them whereas just watching one could potentially be boring but that's a very good way of looking at it.
Well, now there is a game
This was such a better movie than I expected. Hidden gem. Example too of nick cage making the movie
I always tell people this is actually a killer movie, you might go into it thinking you're gonna critique the heck out of it but quickly feels like your enjoying a rollercoaster at your favorite theme park. Cage really killed it in this one
Nick Cage is a national treasure.
I see what you did there
@@tvirus9369😂
From what I can gather, it sounds like Willy's Wonderland was scary but in a goofy way by comparison to the FNAF movie. Interesting perspectives from both films
This looks fun, I also dig the look of the animatronics. Reminds me of the animatronics from Chuck E. Cheese.
I think the animatronics in Willy's Wonderland are a bit of a mixed bag. There are a lot of obvious moments where you can tell it's an actor in a suit trying to act robotic which takes me out of it. I totally get that it was a low-budget movie and they had to do what they could with what they had, but it really makes me appreciate the fact that FNAF went all out on the animatronics.
I legitimately love this movie.
Loved this movie when it came out. Husband was actually “janitor” with the Willy shirt for Halloween last year
I love Willy's Wonderland. It's a guilty pleasure and Cage brings his Cage-isms to the janitor role. I need to get a Willy's shirt 😃
Team Willy all the way! there's something so great about this movie
FNAF movie and willys wonderland is Good
the greatest thing about FNF is the light its shined on Willy's Wonderland. my daughter was excited to watch FNF...30 minutes after she started it i passed back through the room and she was watching this one again lol
Although they are based on similar premises, I think Willy's movie and Freddy's movie have two different goals in mind.
Willy's Wonderland had a miniscule budget and a single goal. I feel it comes off as a stronger movie because it is more self contained. It is simple, it is effective, it says all it needs to say. Willy's Wonderland is the movie that would be made if the Freddy's series was only the first game.
The Freddy's movie is bigger. Bigger budget, bigger production, bigger ambition, and most importantly, more source material. Like it or not the Freddy's Franchise is packed to bursting with dense lore, characters and concepts. There are world rules that need to be set up, key players to be established, key events that the audience expects.
The Willy's saga could just be a single film and the world would be satisfied. Everything ties together nicely.
There is more lore and depth to Freddy's than could ever be fit in just one movie. Whilst I enjoyed the first film, I believe it NEEDS sequels in order to reach its full potential. There is so much more to explore when it comes to the villains, the robots, the supernatural elements and the history of the location. Leaving them on the table is a massive missed opportunity.
Perfectly synopsis of both franchises execution.
Now you just gotta watch THE BANANA SPLITS animatronic horror movie to compare.
this movie goes harder than my anti depressants
I saw this the day it came out. Just went to see FNAF this week and Willys set the bar high that FNAF couldn’t reach
I disagree.
"The climax scene comes before these two do" had me rolling bruh 😂😂😂
I loved this movie. I had a blast. And cage not talking...also so neat.
This whole movie was a trip. I had so much fun with it
I will say that Freddy takes itself very seriously. Like, what if this was a Foreign movie with no guns?
Willy's is the cheap, fun knockoff that knows that it's in America with shotguns everywhere.
I imagine that if Freddy's introduced a shotgun in the story, the ending would be pretty self-explanatory.
He’s doing movies that he wants to star in. Props.
0:11 “ Crusty Sock Puppets “ is crazy… 😭
This movie was so much fun. And nick cage is at the point he says yes, never no.
Bro the scene where the local ruffians are explaining the backstory and his watch beeps and he takes a drink and starters cleaning again is gold
This movie so dope. Other than the cage trinity (the rock, con air, and face off) this is my favorite cage movie. It all somehow makes sense cuz it’s cage.
Love how Cage is just badass through the entire film!
The fact that you remember that Jeepers! existed makes me happy.
-- Sincerely,
A Past Jeepers Employee
Rip the banana ride
This is my canon FNAF movie. 10/10, I watch it all the time.
This was much better than the new 5 Nights at Freddy's.
One of the few films that Nicholas Cage does not speak in is a feat unto itself.
Asking me to chose between them is like asking me to pick a favorite cat. It ain't right and I can't do it.
I love this movie. Lol. But let’s be real. The animatronics are way more scarier in this film then five nights. There’s something about them that’s so offputting, and the fact that they were a part of a satanic cult. Also, I think you miss interpreted the timer that he has. It’s because the owner told him to take his breaks. And even though it’s a life or death situation, he still does it. 😂. Like he’s literally doing his job without a care in the world.
1:11 CRIS CAMEO!!!
this has made it to the top of my Nick Cage movie list. sometimes you need to stop and play some pinball.
Exactly what he said at the end. There's never just one in a genre.
Nicolas Cage is one of those actors that makes the most out of the most barebones scripts. Mel Gibson and Willem Dafoe are the only other actors who can do eccentric performances like this
Such a great movie, absolutely underrated. the only thing, I’m not a fan of doing all that work for a grand….
I saw this movie 2 years ago and liked it then.
This . Literally keepers mixed with major magic
I liked this wayyyy better than the actual FNAF movie. 😂
i actually ended up watching this w a girl the other day randomly it was surprisingly fun and hilarious cuz cage didn’t actually even have like one line
This is the superior Freddy movie
I mean it’s alright
Nah
Not sure about that
@@lancethefilmguy9392 I'm sure of it
Fun fact maybe idk I’m pretty sure Willy’s was a old fnaf movie script
As a Fnaf fan I kinda agree with your final take away 😭
Yeah the robots looked good in Fnaf but the main character was boring
Nic Cage has been killing it
so this is that Nic Cage college humor skit come to life?
This movie better than Five Nights at Freddy’s movie
It was today when i realized that you're 3C films holy cow always thought you were two different people
I was watching this with a... Co-worker.. And we both said that looks like Chris Brown lol I had already seen it and knew it wasn't him but that moment was funny because you said the same thing.
Great Nick Cage movie, love his lines; crapping on another franchise one step further, name your movie over another, the same name: The Revenant, with Dicaprio, is the only movie you would find (if you're looking for the Vampire-Movie its harder to find) since the Bear Mauling movie just used its name; The Revenant, 2009 is a buried horror/com gem.
Is there an audio commentary somewhere where you learned this stuff? The blu ray doesn’t have audio commentary listed
The interviews mentioned. They’re on TH-cam
Nicolas should be Mike in FNAF movie.
This movie was everything
Oh so you finally seen my post when ypu posted about 5naf
Lol, this was a better FNAF movie than the actual FNAF movie.
I loved it.
I’m team Willy and Freddy both were enjoyable to watch.
I thought 5 nights at Freddie's was a remake of this film.
Lol
This is the review ive been waiting for.
Nobody talked about how nick punched a door down
I liked how the catalyst of FNAF has comeback to Willy's wonderland being a superior movie to FNAF..
i like this movie
So much better than that fnaf movie. This one didn't waste time, didn't try to be any kind of drama, it gave everything it promised.
I prefer the FNAF movie but I respect your opinion.
4:38 if you’re a 47-year-old dude and you have options, why would you settle for anything other than young younger woman?!
cage makes any movie very watchable!
That thumbnail 😂
Please cover When Evil Lurks
I Love this movie so much
Film was at it's best on Cage and the fighting. Otherwise, I found the other stuff pretty drab.
remember white house down vs Olympus has fallen
This movie is no masterpiece, but its a better FNAF movie than the actual Fnaf movie!
There’s more to FNAF than just animatronics killing people.
Before filming this. Nicholas Cage lost his voice from screaming in the movie PIG. 🥰
This movie was hilarious I’m glad I watched it before FNAF
Did you just call shells bullets?
This was a fun movie.
Probably was in the military. Attention to detail. Silent but deadly. Addicted to Energy Drinks, and he does not seem to give much of a @&$!.
“Casey Affleck and girls his age.” I’m dead. 💀
I wish he would review the movie rather than recap the film. The Sssniper wolf of Movie Critics
Casey Affleck catching strays
Big fan of this flick
Extra Nice
This film, for the most part, is set in the location of Willys with Nick Cage fighting a bunch of animatronics. That's why it works better than this new fnaf film. Its simple and to the point, wheras this new fnaf movie takes way too long going anywhere with its weak plot and lame thrills. I won't even spoil it, but the animatronics do something really out of left field with the main cast in fnaf near the end of the movie. Its just dumb af
Love this movie 😂
i definitely prefer this over the fnaf movie
Shout to Casey affleck he saw Willy wonderland and wanted her to touch his Willy wonderland if you know what I mean lol .
lowk reminds me of fnaf
I love this movie 😂
Chris brown junior sent me cus they actually look like 😂😂
I liked this movie more then fnaf
Willy is better than Freddy’s 😊
Cue all the faux high culture contrarian takes
Five Nights a Freddy’s if it was good
I personally don't like Willys wonderland because of Nic Cage reason in other film Nic Cage was in world war 2 American heavy cruiser USS Indianapolis men of courage based on actual event but the film was poorly made bad. Cage played as naval captain of USS Indianapolis in my opinion he doesn't fit well that film came out 4 years before cage was in willys wonderland.
FNAF movie is on top of the list
Cry
People shouldn’t be downing the fnaf movie just because they have no attention span😭
My family keeps fnaf movie is a knock off of Willy’s Womderland…
3cfilms lets gooooo
Please, just talk about why you like this movie. There is no need to bully people who like the FNAF one. Some people prefer Willy's because it has better kills and is a fun, wacky horror movie (with Nicolas Cage, who is always a plus). Others prefer FNAF because it has a fantastic atmosphere, interesting characters, and it's a funny love letter from the creator to the fans who made him go this far with a game that, for him, was a last chance to make money from what he loves. You can like one but not the other, or maybe both! Just don't make a war out of two movies that obviously have different objectives and target audiences.
What you mean by fnaf movie has interesting characters? I may be missing something there.
I think both have mostly the same level of character interest (which verges on serviceable).
my 10 year old daughter wouldnt stop talking about fnaf once she saw the poster...we watched willys on friday and she went to watch the freddy movie the next day. less than half an hour later she was watching willys again. "yeah. its not good."
seems the movie missed its target audience lol
@@ryanmann9842 I really liked Mike's story, and I really didn't hate the other characters. I have a soft spot for Matthew Lillard because I'm also a fan of Scream (even if he had little screen time). The Willy's characters, other than Nicholas Cage and the girl with black hair, really didn't appeal to me. The only thing I was waiting for is for them to get killed, especially the teenagers that I really hated.
@@VHBEnginesno attention span😭 lol
@@VHBEngines Your 10-year-old daughter doesn't represent all FNAF fans. I'm sorry she didn't like it, but my sister, who is a big FNAF fan, loved it and has watched it five times since then. Obviously, if there are 519k people interested in FNAF, I won't pretend that every single one of them will love the movie. However, if the audience score on Rotten Tomatoes holds any value, I can say that at least most of them enjoyed it. To each their own.
Yea Fnaf movie already has fanbase why the gross sales
why would you call out the woman for her acting range and not pedo casey affleck who is the adult? she literally played her role to a T
Willy's Wonderland did Five Nights at Freddy's better than Five Nights at Freddy's lol
it's a WAYYY better fnaf
125
Personally I liked this one a lot more than the FNAF movie. I think what really hindered FNAF was that it wasn’t as scary, like the only real scare I got was from balloon boy because they put all the scary parts in the trailers. Also because this movie was PG-13 it really hindered it too, and this is from someone who doesn’t like scary movies, but like I would’ve loved to have seen more gore 😂😂. I get PG-13 is to make it more accessible but they could’ve did more I mean there are tons of other PG-13 horror movies that have more gore and scares in it. It was really more fan service for the FNAF fans. I enjoyed it because I’m a FNAF fan, but as an overall movie, it was mid. Compare this to Willys Wonderland and it is a better movie with the action and scares
In any case I’ve Ben seeing Willy’s fans have been harassing people who prefer the FNAF movie more than Willy’s Wonderland.
