This is a simple but great looking stitch pattern! I watched this video a short while ago and I decided to make a cowl for a friend in a lovely chunky cherry red wool I'd been given, her favourite colour. I also had a nice & soft, less chunky wool in the same colour so I made a pair of fingerless gloves to match! I've almost completed the cowl and hope to surprise my friend with them shortly! My sister likes them and has requested the same set but in white. Hopefully, I'll have time to make my own set before Spring arrives! I know I can at least spend some of lockdown doing something I enjoy!. I'm thankful I have a few hobbies to keep myself occupied. I sincerely hope everyone is doing ok despite current restrictions.
Thank you so so much for keeping this video available. I KNEW there had to be a trick to making the twist at the end instead of working that mobius at the beginning. I just cannot grasp that. It messes with my head. Lol
Can't wait to try this pattern. I will probably use a #4 yarn so will have to make more stitches to get correct length. Thanks for the very clear instructions.
Wow so cool! Easy but so effective and detailed. I was about to start the hunt for a cool cowl for Christmas gifts. Search no more, Ana :) I'm making one for all the ladies in the fam. Love your channel, I've made a few projects following your videos!
This tutorial is absolutely perfect timing for me. I have been working through your Beginner Crochet series the past couple of weeks, and this pattern is just what I need to practice both the slip stitch, and the half double crochet! I've also been wanting to make a cowl recently, and itching to try out a more textural stitch pattern, so this project is doubly perfect. It even uses my favorite Lion Brand yarn. Thank you again for all the beautiful tutorials. Yours are truly the best out there!
I agree. I've watched only a handful but her patterns are lovely and her videos are very easy to follow as she speaks so clearly. Definitely going to do this cowl, I've just sat and sorted my yarn already!
@@rubylouh7849 Her tutorials really are the best! I've not found their equal yet. Definitely going to do the cowl too. I have the perfect colorway of Wool Ease Thick and Quick yarn ready to go. Enjoy your project! 👍
This is such a beautiful and simple pattern! Thank you so much for sharing! And it really couldn't be better timing with the cold weather coming, quarantine kicking back in, and boredom taking over! This is just what I needed. Thanks again! 🥰
I Wish I saw this video on December for Christmas gifts. However, just ordered a bunch of yarns for getting ready for next Christmas! Ahaha amazing channel. Thank you for your clear explanation and great tips
You can definitely tweak the size a little bit for different size yarn/hook combos. For any thinner yarn you'll want to start with more chains initially so it's not too narrow. Just keep it an even number and you'll be good 👌
Thank you! Currently I am crocheting blankets for nursing homes so I don’t have a lot of time to do this and I appreciate that it can adapt to what resources I have and that it’s a quick make! Thank you again for the video and the tip

I love that color you used for your cowl. Maybe I'll use it for my raspberry snood pattern.
The stitch she is doing is the crunch stitch for those, who would like to know.
Love the pattern ! What would be the change(s) in the pattern for bulky #5 yarn?
Lovely for gifts!

Hi I want to make this lovely cowl, can you tell me what yarn you have used, and the size of the crochet hook please, thanks Val
Hey there! You can find the yarn and hook details here on the pattern page : bit.ly/32BXbwh
Happy hooking!
How many grams do I need to make this?
Can this be done with smaller (like normal size) yarn and a G or H hook? Maybe an F hook
You can definitely tweak the size a little bit for different size yarn/hook combos. For any thinner yarn you'll want to start with more chains initially so it's not too narrow. Just keep it an even number and you'll be good 👌
