The Hausa people in Ghana migrated from Nigeria. Kumasi has a very huge population of Nigerians, they have been given their own neighbourhood to settle with their tribal Chiefs. Their areas they are predominantly at are Alabar & Aboabo, its 5mins away from the Kejetia market. You'll find the Igbos, Yoruba, Hausa & some other West African tribal people like the Mossi, Gao, Wangara, Fulanis, Mandinka etc

It's not called akara in Ghana, Porridge is called Koko and akara is called Koose in Ghana.
That means it’s called exactly the same way as in the northern parts of Nigeria
