This helpful video explains how to set up a dihybrid cross (a cross with two traits). Use the easy "cross-over" method that I explain in this video to set up a Punnett very easily!

I never understood punnet squares and this has just changed my whole life. I have a midterm tomorrow and this really helps me in every way. Thank you !
Thankyou for this. I thought Im not allowed to repeat the possible combination gametes from genotype, which actually confused me somehow.. But now it's pretty clear that it's okay to repeat it. wish me luck im taking my genetics exam later hehe

Thank you but I have a problem solving a question if we cross between RRyy x RrYy , F1 will be 8/16 rounded yellow and 8/16 will be rounded green but what should I do in F2 generation it’s confusing I will be having four not RRYy , RRyy , RrYy , Rryy or maybe I made a mistake
Pls make a punnett square for this question also 🙏 A Mendelian experiment consisted of breeding tall pea plants bearing violet flowers with short pea plants bearing white flowers. The progeny all bore violet flowers, but almost half of them were short. This suggests that the genetic make-up of the tall parent can be depicted as (a) TTWW (b) TTww (c) TtWW (d) TtWw
Ma this is a great video and i understand that but i have a problem you did not use the law of segregation when forming those gamates (is threre a reason for that)
I have a question, when filling a square that its upper is bC for example and its side is BC, is the square will be BCbC or BCCb? Its confusing where i know Capital should comes first! Thanks in advance.😅
Are you sure you typed the genotypes correctly? BcCe is not a dihydrid cross. The "B" has to be matched with another "B", either B or b. Same with C. So doublecheck if you read the question correctly.

Thank you! Everybody in my class understood this so easy but me and I’m too shy to ask for help so this helped me more than I can say! Thanks again

Your name is just what you want in your exams😂😂
Just like me bro, i'm so scared to ask for help and im literally a sophmore in a freshamn class struggling for help.
SAME ONGGG
7 years from now and I here so grateful 😇 thanks a lot ma’am🙏
You are welcome
After 6 solid years and this is still helping . kudos! From 🇲🇼

Finally a valid video! This is probably the easiest method so far
Happy to help!
I have a test tomorrow and I didn't understand this part, now it's the easiest part. Thank you very much!

Thank you so much. Please continue to make more videos. Genetics can be a very difficult topic for me yet you make it so easy.☺☺☺
More to come!
This was very helpful, thank you.
You are welcome. Just ask if you need help.
On the dead locs, this was well explained

Here I understood it appreciations
You are welcome
thank you
doesn't the dominant trait represented by the capital letter always comes first?
Writing the capital letter first is just a preference, it makes no difference in the expression pattern whether you write Dd or dD.
Most use the dom first. It’s more widely accepted
Ma this is a great video and i understand that but i have a problem you did not use the law of segregation when forming those gamates (is threre a reason for that)
The cross over trick that I explain in the video is the Law of Segregation
okay understood thanks so much @@Bio_Tube

I have a question, when filling a square that its upper is bC for example and its side is BC, is the square will be BCbC or BCCb? Its confusing where i know Capital should comes first! Thanks in advance.😅
We keep the same alleles togehter, so it will be BbCC
@@Bio_Tube Thanks and the explanation was so nice 🌹
Im having so much trouble still. How do I solve something like BcCe x BcCC with punnet square?? I am looking everywhere
Are you sure you typed the genotypes correctly? BcCe is not a dihydrid cross. The "B" has to be matched with another "B", either B or b. Same with C. So doublecheck if you read the question correctly.
Here is another helpful video!

What is the probability that the offspring from a dihybrid cross (heterozygous×heterozygous) will be homozygous for both characters? I need help plz
1/16
so what's the genotype, phenotype, and the ratios of F1?
Genotype ratio is 8 : 8 for BbCc : Bbcc
Phenotype ratio is 8 : 8 for Black Fur Rough Coat : Black Fur Smooth Coat
What is the genotype and phenotype ration of F1 gen.?
Genotype ratio is 8 : 8 for BbCc : Bbcc
Phenotype ratio is 8:8 for Black Fur Rough Coat : Black Fur Smooth Coat
Thanks maam

Hi
Thank you for watching my video! Please like, share and subscribe! Let me know if there is other content you need help with and I will make a video to help.
What is the phenotype and genotype ratio in f2 generation
F2 generation:
Phenotypic ratio: 6 Black fur, rough coat: 6 Black fur, smooth coat: 2 White fur, rough coat: 2 White fur, smooth coat
Genotypic ratio: 6 BBCc : 6 Bbcc : 2 bbCc : 2 bbcc
@@Bio_Tube thank you so much😊❤
🥰
hello, you did not define your unknowns.
There are no unknowns in this cross
lovely, thanks
