It's hard for those of us born after the assassinations to understand how much they changed this country and what was lost. This brought me a lot closer to understanding.
Such a trauma...God bless this man...he did what he could do...he comforted him in his last moments...I hope he didn't continue to blame himself for something out of his control...🙏
What a wonderful man, proud of his family and I bet they were equally proud of him. Shocking that anyone could blame him. All those years later it still upset him. You done all you could and more than you had to. Rest easy sir.
When RFK Was Shot He Fell Backwards and Landed On The Kitchen Floor, Then The Busboy Juan Romero Came To Him, And Tries To Stop The Blood From Running, And Tries To Talk To The Senator If He's Ok? And The Senator Asked Romero "Is Everyone Ok?" (Juan Romero Was A Nice Kid In 1968, He Tried To Save Senator Robert F. Kennedy.) I Bet He Was A Smart Kid That Year. (RIP Ex-Busboy Juan Romero 1950-1968).
When you watch the unedited footage of the auditorium before, during and after Senator Kennedy's appearance at the Ambassador*, you get a great sense of the reaction. The "before and during" is almost like tuning your eyes to the darkness so you can better see the night sky. All the noises, both directly into mics and the ambient sounds help in a way to make the reaction to the shooting spill slowly, person to person, across the room until everybody knew that the man they had been rapturously cheering, with some people starting RFK and Kennedy chants, had been gunned down out of their view. *By _far_ the best Kennedy-related TH-cam channel is operated by David Von Pein. It's a proper archive, free from apophenic conspiracy and gratuitous violence.

So sad...when u see the video his right hand full of blood and the pool of blood underneath
God Bless this Man. He was the only one of mind and heart (at that young age ) To comfort Mr. Kennedy and to hear his last touching words of concern for others. So sorry for his anguish, He should be very proud of his actions and of himself. A True American! Peace.
There are many people like him..The media only focuses on the bad and politics separating so many Americans from each other. I personally realize the stuff on the internet and TV we have no control of. This man is full of telling the truth. You can see how much this interview hurts him. God Bless Him.
This is a can of worms you 😅are mentioning here. 2 points. 1) Many in Bobby Kennedy's entourage, including Olympic Decathlete Rafer Johnson tackled Sirhan Sirhan and held down his arm. Sirhan was still able to empty his gun but fired back and away from RFK, hitting the wall and others. 2) His security entourage consisted of a person by the name of Thane Eugene Cesar. Research what RFK Jr thinks about his dad, Bobby's, Assassination. He believes it to have been committed by this guy, not Sirhan. What's more, RFK Jr has mentioned that this guy Thane Eugene Cesar, got on the security detail a week before, and was the one that grabbed RFK by the elbow and guided him towards Sirhan. When Sirhan failed, Cesar did it in the confusion of them tackling Sirhan.
Juan Romero, you couldn't have stopped it. I was watching the TV and I saw you. I'm glad Robert Kennedy had a kind person, you by his side, please don't forget that. God bless you Sir!
his dying words : "Is everybody ok ?" I was born in 57 and remember exactly where I was when JFK was announced as shot. I had not heard or I don't remember that RFK said what he said as he lay dying. Please be a special place in the after life for people such as him
I went to Robert F. Kennedy Elementary School and the name always made me proud! I never knew about this story Glad he has led an honest life! God bless him, his family and the Kennedys🙏
Seeing someone shot is extremely difficult. In war, such things occur with such frequency that one almost becomes numb. Its almost as if it were not real. But, to see someone you like..... or love get shot right in front of you is absolutely agonizing. There are no words, except perhaps those of a dying human. Spoken to the last breath. And as the breath leaves that person, the realities of life and death become a new reality. I was 9 years old when Senator Robert F. Kennedy was assassinated. I understood. It was beyond painful to see the tears of my parents and many others. Even at such a young age, I knew how painful this was to so many. Robert had touched so many lives. His speeches offered a new hope. He would carry on the legacy his deceased brother had started back in the early 60's. Both Robert and Ted were beyond the realm of pain when their older brother was shot that beautiful November day in Dallas Texas. No one can be prepared for such horrific news. Its just not humanly possible to digest it. Now, years later, Robert lay in a pool of blood, literally dying in the arms of a young man. The Kennedy's have suffered such awful terrible events in their family history. Some have labeled these events as a curse. Personally, I am dubious of such claims, but there is no doubt that this great family has endured some of histories worst. I liked Robert very much. Very much. His politics were our politics of the day. He was a forward thinking man. Intelligent, articulate and dynamic right to the very end. A staunch Democrat, his political beliefs were solid and decent. A real American. If only politicians on the Democratic side were this great today, but they have lost their way. Preferring instead to embracing Socialism, Radicalism and other less nefarious things that a Robert F. Kennedy wouldn't have embraced. Imagine being so young. Imagine two very different distinct souls being brought together like this. Its hard to comprehend how such things occur, but one thing is certain....... EVIL ALWAYS FINDS A WAY!!! God Rest the souls of these two men who through evil were brought together. One dying. The other, living with pain. Which, until just recently, he had to endure his whole entire life. God only chooses the very best to serve him in a greater cause......🌹🌹 JR
JFK and RFK were killed cause they were going to make sure Palestinians got their homes back thats why it happened to both of them and why their Dynasty is ruined with misfortune.
Glad Mr. Romero seems to be doing well, given his tremendous burden and the trauma of such a devastating event. He has certainly honored the memory of RFK by living a full and productive life. Proud to have such a remarkable man as part of our country.
Juan Romero passed away in 2018 about 50 years and 3 months after rfk’s death in 2018 Bobby welcomed Juan into the kingdom of heaven and told him everything will be ok. Rip Bobby and Juan

When I saw footage of this man or photos-I don’t know which-I saw compassion, comfort for the Senator. That’s all I ever thought. Thank God he was there to help the senator not feel alone.
I agree. These have always been my feelings, too. In another interview, Juan tells the story of how earlier that same day he had delivered a buffet of food to Senator Kennedy’s hotel room. Senator Kennedy’s aides were going to bring the food into the room, but the Senator gestured to Juan, and said “come on in”! Juan said that Senator Kennedy came over to him and shook Juan’s hand with both of his hands. Juan said the Senator was so warm and inviting, with twinkling eyes and a big smile, that he made Juan feel like he was really an American at that moment - and was really “SOMEBODY”. Juan credits that meeting with Senator Kennedy for paving the rest of his life - not getting into any gangs, and eventually moving out of the ghetto. I like to think that as Juan comforted Senator Kennedy on the concrete floor later that night, that perhaps Senator Kennedy recognized Juan from meeting him earlier that day, and hopefully took some comfort from that.
Wow. What a beautiful man. The picture shows how kind hearted he was and concerned about RFK. Even RFK had a look of peace on his face. I’m so sorry you had to see that at such a young age but it shows the kind of young man you were!
Mr. Romero, you have done yourself proud, and I know that the vast, vast majority of us, your fellow countrymen, are also so very proud of you; AND I also know that this same majority are thankful, very thankful, that one of the last things Senator Kennedy saw was the love and compassion so evident in your eyes! Your image is one that is seared into our memories,an image that so succinctly reflected how each & every one of us felt, and for that matter, one that reflects how we STILL feel today. The demented soul of the deranged individual that took him from us, was one who was determined to succeed in his diabolical mission. He knew the Senator would definitely be pausing to greet his supporters, and had you not been in position alongside his exit route, then you can assuredly bet that someone else would have been (in that location)! I was privileged to see him drive by our home in his convertible; a seven-year-old Appalachian boy on the roadside, eagerly awaiting his pass-by. He smiled that big, contagious smile of warmth and compassion that few I have ever seen, rival. Then, just a few days later, comes the newspaper with the grisly photo of him being cradled in your hands! God bless you for your courageous act of kindness, and servitude; courageous because, for all you knew, the shooting would have continued, and even been met with accompanying gun fire from a fellow conspirator(s). You go on now and finish your time on earth with your head held high; in the due course of time, you will be rewarded from no one less than the Creator of the Universe himself!! KNOW THIS: that you provided all that anyone could possibly have provided in those first horrendous moments; the love ❤️ proceeding from your eyes as his last sights on earth, and the warmth and reassurance of the human touch! 👏👏
I just learned of Mr. Romero’s passing in 2018. I thought about removing my comments in light of the fact it is addressed to him, but no, I’ll leave it up. Arron P. So young..68?
What a great man
Spirit of Great America.....
RIP to Mr Romero. I’d like to think maybe RFK was there with him to guide him over towards the Lord.
Brian Herrington I had the same thought.
He was.
Bobby never left his side.
Just because Juan didn’t see him there that doesn’t mean that he wasn’t there with him every step of the way.
Your a Great American Sir.
“Is everybody ok?” The words of a man that actually loved America and its ppl
It's hard for those of us born after the assassinations to understand how much they changed this country and what was lost. This brought me a lot closer to understanding.
Such a trauma...God bless this man...he did what he could do...he comforted him in his last moments...I hope he didn't continue to blame himself for something out of his control...🙏
Unfortunately people in these days would call him a crisis actor
PIZACLATON DDD stfu
PIZACLATON DDD I see tht pizza wat u one of those podestas
Troy Hernandez ls that English?
Nesta Nesta Maybe he's mentioning Pizzagate?
I don't think you know what a crisis actor is.
this man is a true American. thank you sir.
What a wonderful man, proud of his family and I bet they were equally proud of him. Shocking that anyone could blame him. All those years later it still upset him. You done all you could and more than you had to. Rest easy sir.
You hold your head high you're a very good man.
I liked how he said he didn’t want to be a burden on society. Good man for honoring his morals.
Such a tragic story. He took that situation and tried to do good with his life. Robert would be proud of him!
The last to touch the hand of a healty living Robet Kennedy and one of the last ones as his life slipped away....
Eric Johnson he didn’t die in 1968
Didnt Kennedy die in 68?
Eric Johnson Juan Romero Died 2018 Not 1968.
It's always the good guys who end up getting killed; MLK, Gandhi, RFK, JFK, the Avengers.
Lil Sandwich Gadaffi?
Lil Sandwich Malcolm X.
Firefist Ace😢
John Chaser killed him self
Not funny
What a sweet and good guy. It is apparent that he was raised well.
Tears, I tell you after watching this video & now I just read Mr. Romero has passed. My heart goes out to his family. ⚘🏡
01:49 in that pic u can see the damage to his head..if he was shot on the right side behind his ear it's like Dallas all over again JFK's fatal head shot...I cannot imagine what Juan had to do in the video u see bobby having blood all over his hands and in the dark shadow underneath u can see the pool of blood...in the first pic his right arm is way behind him...so sad he bled so much from the very beginning.. lots of others shot but only Bobby's was fatal u can see the blood coming out of his head at 01:16. So sad...when u see the video his right hand full of blood and the pool of blood underneath
A behind shot! RFK was killed from the rear(powder burns from a 21 cal. gun have to be 4 inces away or less-Sirhan didn't kill RFK
God Bless this Man. He was the only one of mind and heart (at that young age ) To comfort Mr. Kennedy and to hear his last touching words of concern for others. So sorry for his anguish, He should be very proud of his actions and of himself. A True American! Peace.
I know that all assassinations are tragic, but Bobby Kennedy’s is so haunting.
This man is a living definition of a mentsh. A person of true substance.
Indeed, Wolf, he probably doesn't believe it himself tho. He's a very humble and deep man.
There are many people like him..The media only focuses on the bad and politics separating so many Americans from each other.
I personally realize the stuff on the internet and TV we have no control of. This man is full of telling the truth. You can see how much this interview hurts him.
God Bless Him.
Just another political guy but better than most.
I feel so bad for this man having to live with that he didn't 0 wrong an people blame him for something he had nothing to do with
So his security didn't help him, just this poor boy had the guts to help Kennedy 😨😨
Great video. Thanks for posting it.
Juan Romero, you couldn't have stopped it. I was watching the TV and I saw you. I'm glad Robert Kennedy had a kind person, you by his side, please don't forget that. God bless you Sir!
He said, "is everyone OK? "
He didn't say the second thing
What second thing
@@israelboakes6710 I soooo glad you were there to hear RFK's last words (what to argue about--Jerk!)
What a beautiful soul!
his dying words : "Is everybody ok ?" I was born in 57 and remember exactly where I was when JFK was announced as shot.
R.I.P Mr. Romero, the brief moment of comfort you provided to Robert Kennedy is highly respected. You are forever remembered fondly as well.
You did what you can, be proud. Iam so glad that you were able to move forward.
Bobbys dying words just proves what selfless man he was.
Such a beautiful soul. I hope upon hope that Juan Romero has found peace because he deserves it...💕
Seeing someone shot is extremely difficult. In war, such things occur with such frequency that one almost becomes numb. Its almost as if it were not real. But, to see someone you like.....
or love
get shot right in front of you is absolutely agonizing.
God only chooses the very best to serve him in a greater cause......🌹🌹
JR
JFK and RFK were killed cause they were going to make sure Palestinians got their homes back thats why it happened to both of them and why their Dynasty is ruined with misfortune.
I’m just lost for words....... what a powerful video that will stick in everyone’s mind till death!!! 🦋🐝
Glad Mr. Romero seems to be doing well, given his tremendous burden and the trauma of such a devastating event. He has certainly honored the memory of RFK by living a full and productive life. Proud to have such a remarkable man as part of our country.
The kennedys are amazing men...so sad what happened to them....This man right here is a good man god bless you🙏
His son will keep his dream alive. RIP Juan and Robert. Vote RFK jr. to save our country. Volunteer and get the word out.
Bring back Camelot.
Robert knew he had enemies he should hv always been ready and taking precautions
He gave his life for what he believed in---that's why I visit his grave as many times as I can!
Juan Romero passed away in 2018 about 50 years and 3 months after rfk’s death in 2018 Bobby welcomed Juan into the kingdom of heaven and told him everything will be ok. Rip Bobby and Juan
Those letters to this man are just cruel and inhumane. He held him and comforted Mr Kennedy. RIP sir
You became a part of history dude -- Peace .
All these years later and it still hurts. Even tho I was just 14 at the time, that was the day I gave up on politics. He would have been the best president EVER.
Awesome guy. It’s good this interview was documented, he’s definitely part of history.
Sir you were exactly where God wanted and needed to be and I thank you so much. Hugs blessings and love
RIP Mr Romero
Yes rest in peace Juan Romero you are in gods hands now and shaking hands with Robert Kennedy

god bless you sir
Good man
Sirhan Sirhan was standing ‘in front’ of him; so who shot the back of his head ? Not Sirhan that’s for sure.
A lot of people thought that still shot was of Sirhan Sirhan when it's actually Juan Romero.
Rest In Peace RFK. He was a great man. He asked is everyone is ok
Why haven’t I ever heard this story? Wow! What an amazing man!
Is everybody ok? That brought tears to my eyes
Wow. What a beautiful man. The picture shows how kind hearted he was and concerned about RFK. Even RFK had a look of peace on his face. I’m so sorry you had to see that at such a young age but it shows the kind of young man you were!
God bless him!
I like how this video also focuses on the man and not just one experience he has had
His route was also moved around coinsidence
I am very sad that he couldn’t have lived longer, but on the other hand, I’m glad his torment is over. I, like another wrote her in the comments, want to think the Senator Kennedy was there to greet him when he made his crossing.
