Hey bro thanks for this really helped but one tiny little thing, I could be totally wrong because I'm not an English major lol but in the Pre-Chorus I hear "Follow through, let you pursue" which makes more sense but again I again I could be totally wrong. The vibe of the song is so familiar. It sounds like old Britney Spears-like song but with modern K-pop dance. I love the new song! Congrats for it, Wawa Also monii's lyrics writing is so good.
No point in musing about how fantastic the the MV is with regards to vocals, dance and visuals. That much is perfectly obvious. I'm more intrested in the lyrics. Feels like this is some sort of counterpart to The Great Wanderer. Both songs have Kiara's existence as a VTuber as a theme but have a totally different vibe about it. TGW is more melancholic and anxious where Mirage is way more positive and shows a confident outlook on her role and the game she's playing.
Is it more positive? I may be listening to the song wrong, but it seems to talk about how people fell in love with a version of herself that is not real, a "mirage" and that she seems kind of unconfortable with it. In the video itself it shows her being unhappy with that at around 1:30. Also "you never see what I want, what I need" at 1:42 does not seem like a positive meaning. I may be wrong however, would love to hear your interpretation of this.
@@CarlosCraft1469 First let's keep in mind that Kiara didn't write the lyrics, Monii did. And it's unknown how much input Kiara herself really provided. Too keep it relatively short: Of course the song isn't all upbeat and happy-go-lucky. Also I agree with your reading of the lyrics, in that the Mirage is something that has been forced onto her by others. However both the general tone of the music and the choreo don't paint the picture of a melancholic or sorrowful song to me. The vibe I'm getting is more calm, serious and sober. My interpretation would be that she acknowledges her situation, might be uncomfortable with it, but ultimately accepts the fact, that she's essentially playing role for the camera. Which is just what we see at 1:30. She's not really lamenting here, but rather coming to terms with reality and that would be a step in a more positive direction when compared to TGW.
That 3D outfit is GORGEOUS I always love the Black&White motif Kiara has had in all her MV's like DO U & CHIMERA, and it just feels so evolved here Tenchou you must have worked your 4 off on this choero, it was worth it cuz this is PEAK!!
ok, hear me out. i was not a big fan of kiara's music, maybe because i don't usually listen to k-pop, but i don't know why, the more you hear her songs, more enjoyable her voice becomes, and when i watch a MV, i can only think "she is a true idol". so as aways, thank you for the song, miss kiara.
Ponytails are really versatile. First, you can have ponytail-wearing girls let down their hair and suddenly become beautiful, or have girls wearing ponytails waving their cute tail around, or have girls tying up their hair in front of the protagonist and be like "Haha do you like it?" That's just way too cute! Also, boys with ponytails! I really like when their ponytails have that cool looking swish, and it's amazing how they can look really cool or even be motherly. I really like how it can fulfill all those abstract needs. Being able to switch up the styles and lengths/location of the ponytail based on your mood is a lot of fun too! It's actually so much fun! You have those short sidetails, or the thick high ponytail ones, everything! It's like you're enjoying all these kinds of ponytails at a buffet. The song perfectly blends what you'd expect from a modern Western pop song with K-pop. The beat and techno background music really give me those R'n'B vibes from the early 2000s, which seems to be a common theme with Kiara's originals. Not that I mind. It's peak.

3:10 I’m no music producer so I don’t know how to word this properly, and this song is already great, super catchy, but imagine this part wasn’t the fade out but a break down instead where the vocals get real slow like this BUT the vocals mirror the chorus and the beat gets separated and slowed too but is still punchy and is rebuilding back up to the chorus for an insane, highest energy possible finale with a more intense beat, this time without the bridge. Right at the end of the breakdown she hits a really long high note hold too, ending that “aiiiii-ee-aiiii-ee-ai-ee-aii” with a really high, long final “aiiiiIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII”, only that vocal note, no instrumentals, then BAM back into chorus, skipping the bridge this time. I would love to see a concert rendition like this, would be INSANELY HIGH ENERGY for the crowd, everyone jumping Man moments like this I wish I knew how to properly mix music so I could translate what’s in my head to something understandable and not the gibberish I just scribbled out and tossed into the void of a yt comment section

No point in musing about how fantastic the the MV is with regards to vocals, dance and visuals. That much is perfectly obvious. I'm more intrested in the lyrics. Feels like this is some sort of counterpart to The Great Wanderer. Both songs have Kiara's existence as a VTuber as a theme but have a totally different vibe about it. TGW is more melancholic and anxious where Mirage is way more positive and shows a confident outlook on her role and the game she's playing.

I may be listening to the song wrong, but it seems to talk about how people fell in love with a version of herself that is not real, a "mirage" and that she seems kind of unconfortable with it. In the video itself it shows her being unhappy with that at around 1:30. Also "you never see what I want, what I need" at 1:42 does not seem like a positive meaning.
I may be wrong however, would love to hear your interpretation of this.

Too keep it relatively short: Of course the song isn't all upbeat and happy-go-lucky. Also I agree with your reading of the lyrics, in that the Mirage is something that has been forced onto her by others. However both the general tone of the music and the choreo don't paint the picture of a melancholic or sorrowful song to me. The vibe I'm getting is more calm, serious and sober. My interpretation would be that she acknowledges her situation, might be uncomfortable with it, but ultimately accepts the fact, that she's essentially playing role for the camera. Which is just what we see at 1:30. She's not really lamenting here, but rather coming to terms with reality and that would be a step in a more positive direction when compared to TGW.
That 3D outfit is GORGEOUS I always love the Black&White motif Kiara has had in all her MV's like DO U & CHIMERA, and it just feels so evolved here Tenchou you must have worked your 4 off on this choero, it was worth it cuz this is PEAK!!

Ponytails are really versatile. First, you can have ponytail-wearing girls let down their hair and suddenly become beautiful, or have girls wearing ponytails waving their cute tail around, or have girls tying up their hair in front of the protagonist and be like "Haha do you like it?" The song perfectly blends what you'd expect from a modern Western pop song with K-pop. The beat and techno background music really give me those R'n'B vibes from the early 2000s, which seems to be a common theme with Kiara's originals. Not that I mind. It's peak.

3:10 I’m no music producer so I don’t know how to word this properly, and this song is already great, super catchy, but imagine this part wasn’t the fade out but a break down instead where the vocals get real slow like this BUT the vocals mirror the chorus and the beat gets separated and slowed too but is still punchy and is rebuilding back up to the chorus for an insane, highest energy possible finale with a more intense beat, this time without the bridge. Right at the end of the breakdown she hits a really long high note hold too, ending that “aiiiii-ee-aiiii-ee-ai-ee-aii” with a really high, long final “aiiiiIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII”, only that vocal note, no instrumentals, then BAM back into chorus, skipping the bridge this time. I would love to see a concert rendition like this, would be INSANELY HIGH ENERGY for the crowd, everyone jumping
