Great deep dive into Dio Eddie. Got a bit emotional when you were talking about your mum. Mine died right at the start of COVID in March 2020, I always thought it was just something people said that you think about them every day but it’s true, not a day goes by when I don’t think of her 🤘.
Dio going to Sabbath was a “ pick your team” moment for me and my buddies. I stuck with Ozzy solo “team “ and it was many years before I rightly came around to Dio led Sabbath. We were such jackasses about this stuff. Actually hilarious when I think back on it.
Love DIO! Top 2 favorite singers ever! Met him once and he is by far the nicest guy I've met in the Rock world! Eddie you must have had a really cool mom! R.I.P. too you mom.
I don't think these musicians understand how much we love them. DIO was a different singer in my eyes. Along with rob halford Don dokken Brad deep and the front man of Kansas. These guys put there blood sweat and tears in their craft. Yea there is more but these guys hold my heart.
Dio was/is the best metal vocalist ever IMO. Love the respect for Strange Highways here, I love this album also. One of my regrets in life is never seeing Ronnie live. Enjoying the ranking series, maybe do Danzig sometime?
Dio's one of the greatest singers ever. Holy Diver and Strange Highways were amazing gateway albums for me. Black Sabbath's Heaven and Hell album is one of their best. Great rankings.

Both are amazing and made timeless records with and without Sabbath!!! I've always been more of a Dio guy but got lots of love for Ozzy too!
