I think you are a great teacher, l normally watch Ivor sore fingers, but you are much better looking. And l honestly think choice of song is important, again I think you are a good teacher .
The ability to convey these lessons is a gift, Jo. You seem so at ease, make it so fun and simple, when it's not. Even when you pluck around to demonstrate a point, it's so facile, so meaningful. I'm sounding overly gushy here, but few can teach like you do.
Thank you so much. I really appreciate you taking the time to express that 😊 I enjoy playing, breaking things down and making the vids. I’m very glad to hear there’s a positive effect putting these lessons up. You’ve made my day there. Thanks 🎸🙏
Thanks for this, the best acoustic tutorial on this song I’ve ever seen, even my 74 year old brain can get around it. I just subscribed, I hope you have some more oldies to learn 👍
@claudivannonato5958 perfect, good for you! 👍 This must be the best time to learn. I’m really happy you found my channel. Hopefully I have a decent amount of lessons that tick boxes for songs you want to learn! 🎸🎸you’re welcome
Absolutely brilliant, I’ve subscribed as I believe that your expertise and excellence, with work from my learning will bring a lot to my learning and add to my playing, keep doing what you do, with thanks, TMG.
My hats off to you, I felt I had to teach myself guitar, I don’t profess to be a guitarist though I can write songs, my focus is on my lyrics and vocals, though I shall follow your teachings and hope I can do more with my music in my learning, I do believe that you many feel the same, have a listen to a song or two of mine, let me know what you think, TommyMGrecian music, thanks again, TMG 👍
I really like the graphics with your instructions. Your really organized and the parts of the flow very well with learning the song. Thanks Dollar Bill
Hey Dollar Bill! This is amazing to know. Im really glad this has all worked smoothly. Im learning as I go so I'm made up this has stood out to you 👍😊 Thanks! Have an awesome weekend. Jo
You are the first tuition for intermediate players that is explanatory and slow so I can follow thankyou.ive viewed many tutorials and can't be bothered they talk fast and play the same. Or they haven't got the original beat .. I do play alongbwith other youtubers however this is so amazingly taught thankyou so much
Thank you so much for your awesome feedback. This makes me very happy. I'm hoping I can continue filling that gap. That's the one thing I hear a lot is that things are generally rushed over. I try not to. Thanks again 👍😊
I hope you're willing to accept responsibility for guitarists everywhere not getting their daily chores done today , because this is a cool and funky alternative to the usual tutorial from other creators . So appropriate for this time of year . 😁😁 👍👍
😂 amazing. Thanks for your awesome comment. This is great news. Glad you enjoyed the vid. I apologise that your chores took a hit but hope your guitar playing is now in furthur excellent shape! 😆 🎸🎸🎸☀️
I think you are brilliant, thanks. What I also think sounds great is hamering on the fifth string, on the sixth fret to the the seventh, then plucking twice on the seventh.
hiya, thanks, much appreciated! 😊 Absolutely. That sounds great too. Do you play with barre chords or open chords in this song? The recording is barre. I can see what you're playing here working really well with that.
Great lesson .Have playes this for years .the beginning i do digfferent( certainly not better ) i ho to the 6th fret 5th string and keeping finger on the 6th fret 5th string i hammer onto the 7th fret 5th string .while muting with my palm on strum hand .
Thanks! Cheers for the nudge on the PDF. Will look into it. In the meantime, I usually do a vid accompaniment blog on my website with the tab & rhythm charts on for each lesson. Is this helpful? jobywaterguitartuition.com/song-lessons-summertime-blues-by-eddie-cochran-chords-mutes-rock-roll/ 🎸
Thank you so much for the link. The way the lesson is structured and laid out is very helpful. I’ve watched many video lessons in the past and yours I believe is the best at least in way I learn things. Keep up the good work.
Hi Jo, this lesson just popped up on my Yoputube, so I'm now a subscriber. Like your teaching style! If you have a tab available for this I'd be happy to purchase, didn't see it on your site. First heard this song done by The Who on their Live at Leeds album, then later heard Eddie's original version. Would love to hear you do some other 50's blues- Kansas City ?
Hi Jeff, thanks for your message! and thanks for subscribing. Yes, this is a top song. I haven't heard The Whos version, I need to go check that out. Here's the link to the pdf - jobywaterguitartuition.com/product/summertime-blues-guitar-lesson-pdf/ Will def be putting some other 50's tunes up in the future. Kansas City, I'll go have a listen 👍🎸
He did not. There are a ton of versions of this song around though so somebody may have recorded it in C with chords C F G7. You play it in this key? A ‘card’ is a very important part of music 😉🎸

One of the few tunes you can recognize what song it is without singing or playing anything other than the three chords. Louie Louie is another one.
It is really definite you’re absolutely right. A strong song when you think of how many songs use the same chords. Louie Louie is a great tune! 🎸
