Excellent conversation to bring to the TH-cam table! I once got stopped by airport security and had my bag checked by armed guards after an x-ray found my Pocket Rocket Lens Blower as it is shaped like a grenade... I kid you not!!!

My friend is traveling acrost the Pacific ocean in a single flight. (No layover in Hawaii or anything) and so he wants to be able to play a steam deck for more than 1:30 hours. I think he would be fine with two 20,000mah batteries.

A suggestion on the credential/badge: Make it two-sided, so if it were to flip around, it would still be readable. At one of my previous jobs, where the credential was a sticker applied to our key card, I had a sticker on either side. At my current employer, I have my company credential on one side, with the credential from our state fair on the other side, which has my name and media outlet, so I'm covered either way.

What if individually small well sealed and detachable batteries with a 2.6 Wh each?
I have disposable vape but the good thing is its all new, the juice and battery is separate on its original retail packaging meaning its not connected. batteries are individually packaged and sealed. Each battery is 750 mAh converting to Wh its only 2.7 Wh.
Can I checked in this as all items are well sealed?

So the Sony BP-U100 has 97Wh. Now I see why they made these just under the 98 WH limit. Can keep one on the camera in a pelican case checked, and another in my carry on. Good to know. The rule makes sense as they don't want loose contacts on the battery exposed. Might be easier to fly with rechargeable D cell NiMH as there are no limits. LOL

Battery sizes are measured as “watt-hours” (not watts and not watts per hour). Im an electrical engineer. Watts is a measure of instantaneous power use. Watt-hours are a measure of storage capacity as in a battery.
