Awesome video/audio! I love seeing the shadow of this A320 and I think I noticed what looks like a frontal wave-like phenomenon appearing at the nose of the aircraft's shadow on the ground (am I seeing right?) around 2:36 or so.
After you turned southbound for a while you can see the site preparation work for Terminal 3 in the distance (on the south side of the airfield). Cool video!
Yes, it will be completely separated from the main terminal complex on the north side. It will add a whole bunch of gates though once completely built, with four concourses and if memory serves, 72 new gates. It's coming up on the site of the U.S. air base that used to be there (closed in '05). I think Fraport plans on linking it to the existing Terminal 1 with an underground train, but don't quote me on that.
Nice! Well I hope that the terminal is laid out in a similar fashion to Munich! Frankfurt is an impressive facility today, however it can start to feel like a maze when you're connecting to another flight!
Well it won't be like Munich's concourses since they don't have the space for such a layout, but it won't be too complicated. It's one terminal with four concourses fanning outward.
Fantastic video, thanks so much for sharing!! I went to Germany back in 2011 from Australia back when Qantas was flying into FRA. I think we flew in on 25L, but I can't really remember, as by that I point I was very tired from a long flight. I do remember that we did depart on Runway 18. I gotta say, that is one insane climb out!! I love seeing the Lufthansa flight departing off Runway 18. Once again thanks so much for sharing an awesome video!! You have a new subscriber in me!! Keep up the great work!!!!! Regards Alan (RRXWB251)
Yeah, I suppose we did climb rather quickly especially when you consider the views of runway 18/36! Glad you liked the video! Thank you for commenting!
Thanks! Glad you liked it so much! I visited Norway in 2012! You can see my takeoff from Bergen and my landing in Oslo on my channel! Thanks so much for your kind words! Glad you liked the video so much!
+Daniel Sutton I'm currently trying to understand this phenomenon. The buzz being created is too low of a hertz to be explained as every blade's shockwave. Because the actual sound you would hear would be a scream which is true because on every engine where a buzz is heard you can also hear the scream. Fun fact is if you divide the hertz of the scream by the number of fan blades that is the Revs per second of the N1 fan and also the herz of the buzz being created. I have read online that my assumption is correct. What causes the buzz can either be from a blade with a blended edge (What mechanics do when a dent is found on the blades leading edge. But there is also shock wave propagation inside of the intake. I am still reading up on this.
As I understand, as the blades spin, they each create their own shockwave. Because they spin so fast and close to one another, the shockwaves sound as if they blend together into a buzzing sound, and this is what we are hearing
Also, there are different sounds produced by jet engines, because different components of the engine create the sound. The buzz is created by the supersonic spinning of the fan blades. The scream is produced by the turbine as it spins, and the roar is produced by the hot gasses and air blasting out of the rear of the engine
The buzz is real! Love it! Awesome takeoff on my favorite airline! Good job ;)
Yeah, SAS is excellent! I really enjoyed their friendly service!

Oh cool! I was unaware they were building another terminal! I guess it will be disconnected from the other two terminals? Glad you liked the video!

+RRXWB251 I'm really glad you liked the video and that you had a memorable flight from Frankfurt! Thank you for taking the time to comment!
Nice buzz saw! Truly amazing
Thanks! Glad you liked it so much!
Woah!!! You got so high so quickly! amazing footage!

Ahhh Music to my ears i luv it gr8 video :)
Thanks! Glad you liked it! Nothing like the IAE V2500 engines!
***** is that the same as CFM?
No they are different!
*****
they sound very similar though
Another fabulous video
Thanks! Glad you liked it!
very good video is an V2500 engine?
Yes, it is! Glad you liked it!
yes I love that engine!
Coming to Norway as well? ;) Very, very, very good video!
Thanks! Glad you liked it so much! I visited Norway in 2012! You can see my takeoff from Bergen and my landing in Oslo on my channel! Thanks so much for your kind words! Glad you liked the video so much!
Haha, I have seen the videos already ;) SAS is my favorite airline, so yeah :)
Yeah, they are a bit more of a full-service airline than Norwegian but both are similar in lots of ways!
Awesome video! Love the A320! I subscribed!
Yeah, the A320 is an excellent narrow-body aircraft! Glad you liked the videos and my channel! Thanks for your subscription!
You're welcome! I've been on the A320 many times!
Great takeoff video!
Thank you so much! I really enjoyed filming it!
awesome sound! big like!
Glad you liked it! Thank you for viewing!
Good job bro! :) nice video and nice sound!
Thanks! Glad you liked it so much!
4:40 Beautiful
Nice sound! ;)
Thank you! Glad you liked it!
man what a sweet sound
One of the best! The IAE V2500 engine!
LOVE IT!!!
Awesome video! Was this flight full?
I would say 80-90 percent full; however, I had a seat open next to me!
I remember hearing that the buzzsaw effect is produced by the tips of the fan-blades as they break the sound barrier.
+Daniel Sutton That's the explanation I've seen many times as well!
Pretty cool stuff!

Sometimes engine stops, why?
The aircraft is leveling off before continuing to climb again!
Spool up!...BUUUZZZZZZZZZ!!!
Scandinavia? I would have thought one of the 3 Northern European countries. Not Germany
Great sounding engine! I'm more of a CFM56 fan than the V200!
Daniel Baum IAE V2500 the best!!!
That's TO/GA all the way no doubt
Ross McD Not it isn't. It's FLEX.
I saw it.
