1 heat of 6 athletes participating in a 16 minute jam session. Based on maximum jump height, athletes ranked 1 - 6. Judges will rank competitors throughout the contest.

Dear X games, for when the riders jump, can we please just have a stationary camera zoomed out? Zoomed in shots and drone footage simply does not show the scale of how high these guys are going.
Exactly , remember the BIG AIR SKATE RAMP , skaters take off 3 or 4 stories up shoot over that big gap land it and get launched ,REMEMBER IT WOULD LIGHT UP big green bars , that's what the riders need here , that drone and imaginary line on the TV screen just blows , , I think Raha got robbed, cmon x games you can do better
They showed Raha going higher according to their graphic. I took a photo of the proof.

Exactly they have been doing this competition for so many years and still can't film it good. Raha's first day training video was filmed much better.
They literally show it in slow motion with a graph behind it and how many feet and pause it while they are in the air to talk about it and people still complain
Absolutely awful camera angles - shouldn’t be zoomed in during the jumps - couldn’t see half the jumps. Not the right event for a drone camera
honestly I think the drone operator was below mid. They could've definitely got some sick drone shots if the operators chase was on point

Depends how accurate that graph is. Its digitally overlaid so I wouldn't use it as fact

Yall don't even bother. For years I've been commenting on the best whip comps that they need to stop trying to be filmmakers with all these "action shots". For best whip, you just need cameras directly in front of, and directly behind the jump. Those are the angles you see how much these guys are corking those whips out there. This is the same thing. They are trying so hard to get these cool "movie style" shots, we're missing the most important angles. They need to zoom out, and get the landing in frame. But they don't listen. We're just stupid fans, I mean X Games is doing so well, why would they care about what we have to say? Lol

It’s the monster energy games, they just need all the clips for TikTok and insta. It’s not about the event anymore, hence why every monster rider gets forced a can as soon as they pull up

Last year it was the exact opposite. Creeds whole bike was higher than the ghost they showed of raha and raha got gold so I guess it’s even now 😂

Raha is and always will be the goat! To come in 3 weeks on that bike and put up those numbers… nobody does it like Raha!
God , I hope the fad of using drone shots and weird camera angles runs its coarse . We just want to watch the competition.
They need new camera angles and a faster accurate way to measure the heights. Glad Hodges was back this year.

My opinion doesnt matter but a little dissapointed in raha being on an electric bike for a comp
On Raha’s channel (practice #2), he & 2 other riders wanted the ramp to be a smidge steeper because he & the other 2 feared of landing high & casing the knuckle.
The other 3 riders didn’t want to change anything.
Borosky was on the same page with Raha. He wasn’t sending it because he practically cased hitting the knuckle. His back tire landed on top of the landing ramp on one of his runs.
Raha, Borosky, & the other guy played it safe. Safe than spending several months healing broken bones & what not.

Because the whole time they have me thinking the back wheel is what determines your highest point which I feel would make the most sense. I still feel Colby won just off that alone. Cause if the tired is higher the middle of the bike has to be higher as well? Correct me if I’m wrong

Camera work was atrocious.

Worst shot ever, Simpler is better in this comp! Just use a static camera for the jump and then you can go banana with the replay. The zoom and drone shot messed up the sense of height and miss alot of stuff.
Colby should have never gotten on that bike. I’d bet my bottom dollar if he hadn’t switched he would have won.
And this is why we need a big ruler like in skate big air. Even if the measuring was perfectly accurate, we didnt get to see that.
I live in Santa Barbara (30 min drive) and am so happy I stayed home and just watched the livestream instead of standing in a crowd for $80+

I can’t pinpoint why, but this just wasn’t as exciting as previous 1/2 pipe comps. Maybe it was the camera angles? Idk. The crowd was falling asleep.

You know X-Games has fallen off when they are literally selling the event names to corporations for the highest bid, eg "Cinnamon Toast Crunch BMX Dirt", "Monster Energy Moto X Best Trick", and "Samsung Galaxy Moto X QP High Air".... LOL so embarrassing.

Agreed with most of the comments. Camera is horrible. Trying to get too fancy. Zoomed out veiw with a live jump meter like the old days would be waaaay better. Show the true scale of the riders jumping

Wow when you look at that first drone shot you realize how good of a rider you have to be because that's not a lot of space to land this kind of jump. One small takeoff misalignment and you'll overshoot it by meters and land in the crowd. These guys are trained but you would think the far side of the landing would slant right to the ground where the crowd is, and there wouldn't be a crowd that close on that side.

Overlay each riders jump so we can see who is higher and not just taking your word for it.
That's not some accurate overlay it's just to give some general idea. People really didn't notice once where a guy looked to be probably 2' from 50 and he ended up getting 50+

Does the Sark have an advantage?
Yes it has more power, but it is also a lot heavier. The guys on gas bikes could be running bigger heavier engines with more horsepower but they choose 450s.
This will be the event where the next athlete dies. Insane heights. No way to survive a flat landing mistake.
