Ha, YES! I suspected this one would be right up your alley. :) It cracks me up that I keep seeing grumpy straight dudes whining like "who is this show even FOR???" and trying to claim it has no potential audience. And I'm like, uhhhhh, fellas, this one's for the girls and the goths and the gays, I thought it was pretty obvious? Do you need a flowchart or something??
Eeeeee! Delightful reaction! So apparently someone asked Aubrey Plaza whether this show is going to be the most LGBTQ+ friendly of all the Marvel series, and she said, "It better be, 'cause that's what I signed up for." I didn't recognize the "teen" as Wiccan! That'd be cool.
Three years ago, the hex around Westview came down, and Wanda retired to Wundagore (a mountain in Eastern Europe) with the copy of the Darkhold that she took from Agatha before trapping her in the identity of "Agnes, the nosy neighbor," which was perfect for a police detective.
Fred turned the light off on her and sent her home when she was working in the police station. She might have really been on his porch. She likely was in Wanda’s foundation when picturing the morgue.
Love that you caught the Oz reference in the first dialogue with Herb. Looking at this conversation with hindsight, did you notice that he first says "hello neighbour" and then when he realises that she is in True Detective mode goes along with the conversation? And that his whole description of the murder victim is just how the witch died in the Wizard of Oz?
I am so the target audience for this show and I am loving it. The first two episodes were great and it’s the same showrunner as Wandavision, so I have faith they’ll stick the landing. Agatha and Rio are 100% toxic exes. We’re one episode in and it’s not even subtext, it’s right there. I’m just going to assume everyone in this show is gay until proven otherwise. “Teen” is almost definitely Billy/Wiccan, but how he ended up here and what his true motivations with Agatha are remains mysterious and suspect to me.
This was a fantastic reaction! Yeah, this show was made for the two of you! And if you loved the first one, I cannot wait to see your reaction to the second one!!!
“Teen” was publicly reported to be Wiccan forever ago. Specifically Billy Kaplin, Billy Maximoff’s reincarnation. I’m very curious to see how they play out his story
I have a theory that Agatha’s son Nicholas was killed in a car crash in Eastview around the same time that Wanda put up the hex. Not even a minute after Rio and Agatha were talking about it, the Teen gets hit by Mrs Hart’s car and she asks him ‘Are you ok..? That’s not a question that you’d ask a suspect that you were chasing. I think the proximity of the accident and Wanda’s power surge was what brought Agatha to Westview at start of Wandavision. It’s mentioned / “questioned” in both shows that’s she’s lived there all her life…I don’t think she has..! As for a male witch…I believe Jessa is on to something…his name has been mentioned in a roundabout way in this episode but I don’t know the character from the comics that well..! Anyway…I’ve waffled too long…enjoy… 😊
If Teen /is/ Billy, he'd definitely be a witch! It's been years so correct me if i'm wrong, but i remember ages back on the first Young Avengers run when he was trying to figure out his superhero name I think he considered going for something with 'warlock' and made a very conscious choice to align with witches instead because of the negative connotation
Loved your reaction! The show is very creative, weird, and...different? Not a lot of shows like it out there. Please react to the second and other episodes!!!
Yeah I felt the same about that Multiverse of Madness Jessa 😥 (according to youtube she died crushed a building/montain but there's a red flash sooo... she might have escaped !)
Loved y’alls reaction to this episode!💜 I personally think that Agatha’s son Nicholas will make a appearance! Knowing that the Salem 7 are his children.. 4 sons 3 daughters, 6 out of the 7 can change appearance(mostly animal) except for the eldest daughter vertigo! Keep that in mind for the 2nd episode. See y’all soon for the next!
It's been stated that the Salem Seven in this Marvel Universe are the decendants of the Witches Agatha murdered back in the late 1600s, looking for revenge. But who knows. 🤷♀️
@@animezing2133 the ending of episode 2 says a different story to me.. without spoiling something, they showed us the eldest daughter vertigo but not the other 6! That why I’m thinking that it is the children of Nicholas.. But well definitely see how it’s gonna unfold throughout the show!
@@6Dante6Inferno6TV I don't even know their names 😂 you could be entirely correct, I don't know 🤷♀️ I do realize their familial connections from the comics so you're right about that...
@@animezing2133 yeah we still have a big mystery ahead of us! In this MCU universe the Salem seven are credited as vertigo(eldest daughter) but the others without name yet just as crow/snake/owl/coyote/fox and rat.. so I hope for a bit more information in episode 3 to determine if they have changed this Salem 7 to the descendants of the killed witches or they really are the children?! if they have changed it then is there still the question , why is vertigo there ..? But then is there also the fact that every child of Nicholas has different mother.. 😫 But time will tell! 💜
For male witches check out the Coveneant fom 2006 with Steven Strait, Sebastian Stan, and Taylor Kitsch. They're not your standard witches but are descended from New England colonial witch families.
the brooch is not Victorian mourning jewellery, it's too old. the jeweller said it's 17th century and if you go back to the flashback in wandavision you can see Agatha's mother wearing it in 1693.
I think everyone's reaction to Aubrey Plaza's entrance at the end is : "Wow 😍" 😂
It literally doesn't matter whether you're straight, gay, lesbian, trans, asexual or intersex, in that moment, Aubrey Plaza was EVERYONE'S type 😂
Ok.. straight while male here and i enjoyed ep 1.. hell Aubury goth?? My wife said " umm damn" when she bust through the door🤣

Speaking as a straight dude who loves the show ... those grumpy ones need to broaden their horizons!

Aubrey and Kathryn in this 😍

I think Agatha of Westview was the name of the cop show she was trapped in.
THANK YOU YESSS! I thought she was giving Sandra Bullock from Miss Congeniality too and you were the first reactors I saw that said the same lol
Don’t remember seeing your channel before, but your reaction to this has me subbing! 💜🌈🧙♀️

Isn't that locket the one she stole from her mother's body in Salem, Mass. 1693?
Oh yes, good call!

Great episode, reaction and commentary to start the series ladies.
For me the fight between Rio and Agatha is very Buffy/Faith coded.
Wow. Am so enjoying your reactions, as ever.

It was such a fun episode
Sending love from NYC, found you cause of wandavision
Wanda named her two sons Thomas and William. Note all of the random Ws in the show.
In the comics, Nicholas Scratch is Agatha Harkness' son.
I don’t think you reacted to Heartstopper Season 2? Was wondering if you would recognise Joe Locke as Teen but it might have been a while
We recognized him! We talked about it a bit before the recording started, but I guess we didn’t actually mention that in the video.
Yeah I felt the same about that Multiverse of Madness Jessa 😥 (according to youtube she died crushed a building/montain but there's a red flash sooo... she might have escaped !)

The intro reminds me off Trueblood
