@@Boberson481 I get what you're saying brother, but we all respond differently to common foods. Bodies respond differently to the same foods. There's no 'perfect diet' for everyone. While the genetic difference between individual human beings is minuscule...it's still there. Example: Kale bloats and constipates me. For Dr. Eric Berg it's not a problem at all. He eats it every day. Another example: My workout buddy eats fast food twice a week: still sixpack. If I'd do that: I can kiss my sixpack goodbye. Some people can eat bread everybody: No gluten issues. Fasted cardio works for me. Other people might start 'burning muscle mass'. That's what I meant with we're all different.

How is he maintaining all of that size still after 4 months? it has to be something else that is helping him hold on to that muscle. You are not going to loose only fat on 2200 calories he is also going to loose muscle as well if you are natural.

In Islam, fasting is mon & thurs per week, 3 days' per month when the moon is full or on alternate days like our beloved Prophet David (peace and praise be upon him).
Fasting has many benefits for the body and soul. Fasting is the only good deed that's for our Lord, The Creator, so there's a special reward for it.

Your body needs fuel and energy to push you through a regular/intense cardio session. You're arguably at your best when you consume something and that fuels you to push through your workouts. Plus being in a fasted state has shown to have little to zero advantage of burning more fat over just fueling your body and doing your cardio.
Whether you eat before or after a cardio workout, or do your cardio before or after eating, there's zero change in the amount of calories you burn. It's practically the same, but you'll be better off eating before your cardio to perform at your best.

@@traymitt What matters in the end is how many calories you burn, and you're not burning more when you're on an empty stomach. You're, again, better off fueling your body to then aid you in pushing your body through a grueling cardio session.
