Loved original seventies Poldark and this one. So many good moments, but Jack Farthing’s rich and nuanced performance stands head and shoulders above many other fine and compelling performances. No shortage of talent on this show-and no shortage of jaw-dropping beauty.
OMG Ellise Chapell looks so much like Audrey Hepburn...she should do a bio of her...she is simply beautiful... and what can I say about Poldark... loving the series and had read all the books..
same, wished the story of their grown up children in later books could be turned in the series too, it was equally good although Jeremy's departure in the books pained a lot..
I think we should have the series 6 coming out soon. in France we watch series 5 a while ago, . I agreed with you it will be sad to see Poldark finish???? I am not sure if you seen it??? but we have another beautiful English series called Outlander , adadped from the Novels Outlander writing by Diana Gabaldon, this is another oustanding English series???? up to series 4 out so far, waiting for the 5th to come out early 2020 , but so far you have 55 episodes out, so if you can see it in NZ do not hesitate
Great interview 👏 For some reason everyone looked normal to me without their Cornish accent except Tom😂 I don't know what I was expecting but it was just strange!😂👏 Love them all, and what a show💙
The connection between Morwenna and John Conan wasn't in the books like Ellise said, but it was heartbreaking to look at. I love how it is written into the story. John Conan is very cute here.
Limelight * Most of season five isn’t in the books. She essentially filled in the space between the last book she had adapted and the next one Graham wrote. I thought it was genius.
@@wendyscott8425 I agree Wendy, I think Debbie did a great job and she made little clues to the "Stranger from the Sea". I so hope there is more in future time. While I am in the Netherlands, I watch the serial on BelgiumTV with Dutch subtitles so I can understand it even better. Its also send here but much later. And I follow PoldarkTV on Twitter so I know tomorrow the last epi is send at your country. Its great that there is a large community of fans. Some of them I have still contact with. That is lovely. Greetings from Holland, Europe 🤗
Mindi Gardner well, they last episode was made really well and if they wanted to continue it, they could pretty easily, only one main character was killed off and ross has now gone elsewhere.
I certainly did. :) Debbie is amazing, and so was this series. I hope they make a movie in a few years when everyone is older, or even they could revive the series. I just hope if they do I'll be alive to see whatever it is they decide to do.
No, S5 paled into comparison compared to the rest of the series BECAUSE it was not canon. Noone could have written the books and put the events in quite like WG - if you say down and thought about writing them you know a modern day publisher would throw them out. Which is why S5. is so tame and more of the same run of the mill stuff. There was nothing dark to warrant PolDARK, just stories, events, just generic stuff, nothing that ties them to THAT date and THAT time, which is what passes for boring writing these days. No-one will take any risks.
I’m so glad they chose not to jump ahead 10 years like in the books. I finished The Angry Tide last night and adored it and was so excited to start the next book today and continue reading about Drake and Morwenna (whose story pulls at the heartstrings and is beautifully told) and was utterly disappointed to see the next book jumps ahead 10 years and Drake and Morwenna are given nothing but a few lines to say they had moved away and eventually had a daughter… So, I’m glad the writer chose to fill in those years and not entirely depart from the original cast. It’s always quite jarring for beloved characters to fade into the back as a new generation takes over.
They were all real. so very good at acting. I completely forgot I was watching a show. Jack Farthing how he changed from a comedy with a pig to George he soon was in part well done to all then there's Eleanor's fantastic smile. I just melted.
Imagine if poldark crossed over with outlander. It would be mental..... ohhh then out of no where dr who dropped in. The tenant dr. ..... ohh then they land in ramsey street on neighbours but in the early 90s. ... im on to much medication.
I used to imagine one episode of Dr Who set in the Second World War where all those people grew gas masks on their faces and Richard Wilson was playing a medical doctor who had to treat them and then he grew a gas mask on his face. It would have been great if he had said "I don't believe it" when it happened.
Sorry S5 is off canon and as such the story suffers. Directors if you are reading this do the restnof the books: Stranger from the Sea onwards, let us see Jeremy grow up and be an inventor and go to Waterloo, let is see Clowance and Stephen Carrington (not the one out of Dynasty) and the controversy there. Let us see Bella (she has a whole book for heavens' sake!). And let's see how twisted Valentine ends up because of the psychological abuse that George gives him growing up and how he redeems himself in the end
Drake and Morwenna's story was the best in the entire series. The greatest show ever to exist. Gonna miss it so badly.
Drake and Moena's story was the most heart wrenching, just tears at your heart.
Morwenna
I never saw a show with so many handsome guys!
the women. Morwenna and Demelza damnn.
Loved original seventies Poldark and this one. So many good moments, but Jack Farthing’s rich and nuanced performance stands head and shoulders above many other fine and compelling performances. No shortage of talent on this show-and no shortage of jaw-dropping beauty.
Her Aeolian Harp I totally agree. I KNOW he’s doing a part, but he’s so good, so snotty, he’s great LOL. GREAT cast.
Yep...
George in the reboot is much better acted than George in the original
Everyone is so good looking.
I’d love for there to be a full-length Poldark movie in the very near future. Like when they did the Downton Abbey movie. 🙏🏻😊
I loved season 5! It was just excellent. Suspenseful and satisfying in the end. Thank you, Debbie!
same it was the best season
Thank you all! Poldark's been marvelous serie. And Ellise Chapell ownes my heart❤
Agreed.
She's literaly the most beautiful actress in the cast for me, and that wasn't easy win.
This was a great interview- great chemistry between cast and with the interviewer.
OMG Ellise Chapell looks so much like Audrey Hepburn...she should do a bio of her...she is simply beautiful... and what can I say about Poldark... loving the series and had read all the books..
You’re right! I never thought about the Audrey Hepburn similarity til now
same, wished the story of their grown up children in later books could be turned in the series too, it was equally good although Jeremy's departure in the books pained a lot..
She’s fully aware of that comparison, it was discussed in GOOD MORNING BRITAIN
I like all of these actors, and all here did great work. I cared for them all.
We have just had Series 5 here in NZ... OH my goodness I'm going to so miss this now it's ended. Gutted. So enjoyed them all from start to finish.

They are all so lovely and down to earth.
I am so sad that Poldark is ending. I loved this show and cast!
I just love the show. They are such wonderful actors.
Love it !!!
So sad it's the last series gonna miss this on my sundays. 😭
The landscape is so captivating and makes the show absolutely perfect even though it’s perfect anyway! I’m so sad this is it 😢
Great interview 👏 For some reason everyone looked normal to me without their Cornish accent except Tom😂 I don't know what I was expecting but it was just strange!😂👏 Love them all, and what a show💙

How come no mention of aiden?
I’m so ready for more don’t end it
Love Poldark, wish it was not the last series,
Mindi Gardner well, they last episode was made really well and if they wanted to continue it, they could pretty easily, only one main character was killed off and ross has now gone elsewhere.
No more to come???
I'LL BE BACK ! personally disagrew
wish it should not have ended, though in the last scene Ross swore that he would come back, POLDARK fans let us wait
Nothing good last forever. Will miss Poldark.
I hate seeing it end, these people felt real, it felt like home
Beautiful crew🥰
I truly believe that if Debbie Horsefield would add to Winstons books we would LOVE IT ❤
I certainly did. :) Debbie is amazing, and so was this series. I hope they make a movie in a few years when everyone is older, or even they could revive the series. I just hope if they do I'll be alive to see whatever it is they decide to do.
Me too ❤

Amei este seriado!!! Maravilhoso!!!🇧🇷
hi you guys,,great show,,great acting,,thank you all,,;)
They were all real. so very good at acting. I completely forgot I was watching a show. Jack Farthing how he changed from a comedy with a pig to George he soon was in part well done to all then there's Eleanor's fantastic smile. I just melted.
Briddy Hll IKR? I always said this is probably the best cast show I’ve ever watched. Everyone is so PERFECT. And I’m no kid lol.
Muchos besitos bellos actores los sigo cada día de la serie me encanta😘
Beautiful people!!
Imagine if poldark crossed over with outlander. It would be mental..... ohhh then out of no where dr who dropped in. The tenant dr. ..... ohh then they land in ramsey street on neighbours but in the early 90s. ... im on to much medication.
My deaf cat max and other forms of creative fun lol. I’d watch that.

Outlander is a whole pile of bollocks
Great show 👏👏👏
Sam was a cutie🥰. Wish they could’ve expanded his role.
Freddy reminded me of Harry Marcus. I could imagine them being the same person a better match than S4.
you said you were gonna do fan questions? and you didn’t do any?
Actually, Raiders of the Lost Ark was inspired by movie series of the 1930s and ‘40s, not the 1950s.
I had never realized until just recently that Ellise Chappelle looks just like Demi Moore!
When is comin on Netflix?
So sad it's ending.....
First four seasons were the best. The fifth was too PC.
Aidan Turner is daddy.
They didn’t mention Harry and Eleanor dating

Why would anyone appear on a TV interview dressed in their undershirt?
Not fair
