- In this video, we'll take a look at the 2023 LEGO Spider-Man No Way Home Final Battle set 76261 that releases on August 1, 2023 for $110. I got this early by purchasing it from someone who attended SDCC and was able to buy it directly from Lego early at the convention!
This video will be focused on the custom minifigures I made back in 2021 and comparing them to the new minifigures from the 2023 set!

like the dr octopus mini figures!!
I think the Green Goblin in the set looks really weird with the cloth around his neck being printed rather than being an actual piece.

I picked up a purple hood and cape from eBay and used them on the green goblin and tattered the cape, and customized the glider too
bro doc oc looks more gray in the movie then green. the figure captures him perfect
As someone without nostalgic bias, i think the no way home figure for Tobey is a little better as the silver is way too prominent on the original imo. They are both great though
Believe it or not, but that is actually my issue with newer figure, as Tobey Spidey fan - I feel like should've had shinier metallic that older figure has

I hope we can get future versions someday, where they improve upon the designs given here and make the most accurate ones. Brighten up the webs on Toby’s (not as bright as the 2004) and bigger eyes on the Andrews. (Though if we ever get more sets with these guys they’re just going to use this design, which is fine because despite the inaccuracy these designs are still awesome)
@@mihailos8701I think they portrayed it very nicely. The raimi suit changed in no way home since they had to make a new suit for Toby. The new suit was identical except for the raised, more prominent webbing, in the new suit it’s a lot more integrated and less protruding. That being said I think each Lego figure is a nice representation of the suit, whether it’s the og or the new one.
I personally don't like how the custom doc ock is, there's no leg printing, the chest print in torso is heavily pale, the Harry Potter hair works but thats it. Love your videos though amazing work minisuperheroestoday

Both figures are pretty good in my opinion though.
The head I like to use for Toby is the old star lord/Owen Grady head

9:52 that's actually why I prefer to keep my designs to myself 😅. The best way to TRY and keep certain minifigure prices down is to keep cool designs to ourselves. But of course at the same time sharing designs with other people is one of the most important things you can do with LEGO.

I understand the custom Raimi Spider-Man but the difference between the new and old is that the old Tobey is based on his original trilogy but the new one is based on him in nwh and in nwh, Tobey definitely looks different. They made him look older and the hair piece was probably the closest they could get to his hair in nwh

The Doc Ock minifig would have looked better with Green Goblin’s hair. The hair that Lego gave him was too short.

I think it would be nice if you made a video of changing the Andrew mask with the other mask used in your custom Andrew Spidey, the eyes look bigger and more accurate to the movie :)

New hair for green goblin, kite man is best choice, angry Draco Malfloy from the school book set is the best for Toby, only because the train scene from the first movie can be made.
I think overall your customs are better, the LEGO versions I prefer are Electro, Green Goblin & Andrew Garfield Spider-Man.
For my Tom customs I use the Lloyd hair in brown and the face from modern Luke Skywalker

Recently there were light bluish grey pieces of those ninjago disk with a stud and anti stud. Think it would work better for doc ock to improve the design you had already
The face from Goliath from the new cmf series would be great to use on electro if you want to make the character normal
on your custom andrew figure the plastic is just shiny because lego changed something about there pieces that made some look less shiny idk why but it looks aight
I actually love the fanmade designed arms for the doc.
But i like the official lego doc-oc mini-figure more.
I still think the CMF Spider-Man head looks nothing like holland hair is closest, but the head nope
My thoughts (long comment warning):
Ned: Completely agree with you, nice upgrades there.
Doctor Strange: I’d replace the hairpiece with the one from the original Sanctum Sanctorum, just think it matches the movie better. Also I don’t think those printed arms work, they’re too specific to the Sea Captain for me.
Electro: That Falcon face looks way more like Jamie Foxx than Anthony Mackie - nice job!
Doc Ock: I actually don’t think the Harry Potter hair works - it’s too long and messy. Completely agree about the dark green trench coat though, and those new claws look far more menacing!
I really need to get myself that Sandman figure…
Green Goblin: tough to get right because that torn hoodie should’ve been a moulded piece. He should’ve also had leg printing, they look far too plain. Would’ve been cool to see the same technique as was used to recent Iron Man figures - creating a 3D look using dark and bright colours for different areas of the suit. I also think the Han Solo hair in reddish brown would be perfect for Norman.
Tom Holland: I’m in the plain black arms gang personally. Completely agree with the head swap though.
Tobey: The new version is fantastic and I prefer the plain hip piece - the old one makes his hips look too low. Great use of the Marty McFly head and brown Robin hairpiece, they’re perfect for Tobey in the Raimi movies.
Andrew Garfield: Controversial but I actually think the Jim Halpert head suits Andrew well - it somehow implies his high cheekbones. The Amazing suit is a majestic offering with the SDCC figure being unattainable for most.
Final note: All of the Spidey’s simply NEED arm and leg printing. Its absence breaks up the suits so badly, especially on the more comic-inspired ones because the webbing is iconic.

I agree with some of these though I don’t think webbing on the legs is necessary (the only time we got webbing on the actual foot is in the sanctum sanctorum set so I don’t think they wanted to do that on a 100$ set) but the arm printing would have been a fine addition
I assume Doc Ock’s trench coat is dark grey because in Spider-Man 2 his coat is a lot more grey than it is green. His coat is only dark green in NWH, though that does leave the question of why the coat is accurate to Spider-Man 2 rather than NWH
Doctor octopus his outfit was grey I watched the movie again last night
I wish they would make a red arm with black at the top like they put the grey at the top of Monica Rambo’s CMF. That would make it usable for a Scarlet Spider (Kaine Parker). They could also use a red torso and put the black at the top with a black spider similar to the grey and sword on Monica Rambo. Since they are making Spider-verse movies, they should make spider-verse sets and include the Scarlet Spider.

I heard a rumour that the final battle Lego set isn’t all of it and that Lego is developing a large scale statue of liberty final battle set including all 5 villains, 3 spideys and the rest. I don’t know if this is actually true tho but I’m hoping it is

In your custom version the design of Tobey Maguire's Spider-man minifigures is more accurate as in NWH, because already in the official version it doesn't even looks absolutely not to Tobey Maguire but an another Spider-man variant came from another universe, I don't know if it happened internally at LEGO, but they really screwed up the design of the character of Tobey Maguire.
The figures are all perfect except for green goblin. The legs and printed cloth just really bother me fsr
