My whole life changed after watching this video. My 2 year old chinchilla was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. I showed him this video, and he died from brain contusions. However, dear old Maximillion was smiling. I saw that as a sign from Maxi to watch this whole playlist, as it was his dying wish. I will always remember our voyeur experiences in Amsterdam and that long sweaty weekend at Cancun. R.I.P Maximillion, you'll always be My Sugar Rodent.
This was very helpful. We just bought an historic gold mine and aside from having a mining consultant come in, I've set a goal of becoming knowledgeable on the mining laws and mining in general. I need to start with the basics which this video conveyed perfectly. Our goal is to see what we can find in the tailings first, and, upon the advice of a consultant and what we find left behind, proceed from there. We hope to do this in the most environmentally conscious manner possible. In my head, I've been wondering about the possibility of mining through a system of core drilling. It makes sense to me but I have no training or experience. The idea would be to locate the direction of the vein, sink an initial pit for positioning of the drill rig and drill its length. You would gauge where to position the next hole by the material coming out. You hit the edge or a bend and move the bit. Fill in the holes left behind and you have no tunnels, minimal destruction of the environment (use the tailings to fill in?), no tunnel collapses, less tailings. Sounds feasible to me.
Hey,,,am taking bachelor's degree in environmental science ,,ur lecture was helpful ,,,am looking forward to chat with you on some important issue on the environmental science,,,
Large scale farming need production of phosphate fertilizers to grow crops and other mineral. We have the solution for more efficient and sustainable way to farm in large scale. Most challenging thing is to get everyone on the planet to get on board and spread and implement to better manage the resource we still have. People will do what best when things are done properly. Everyone need to be aware and be apart of this solution. We have the science behind us to lead a better life for the planet.
It should be noted that Hubbert never factored in the increase in energy efficiency, smaller microchips and actuators, better resource exploration technology etc etc. His drop off models are not indicative of the peak of production, only illustrative of a current TREND in the economic system. There will be an upward spiral soon enough. Resource reserve estimations are likely far underestimated due to limitations on detection and cost effective retrieval/processing
So you're danish then? The name suggests it, could be norwegian too. If you so, are up in Minnesota where scandinavians went primarily. Guess that area was opening up when the migrated.
I'm watching this whole playlist because my AP Environmental test is in less than 24 hours.

In mining the cons outweigh the pros. We can live without good but we cannot live without clean water and air.

probable because it wold go into some complicated stuff if some 5th graders had to learn about mining

Coal is not a mineral as i recall, because it is organic
The level of entitlement right out of the gate... "my name is Mr. Anderson." How about next time we try "my name is Paul"...
