Just saw this, April Wine is a great band from my home province of Nova Scotia. They were amazing live, and had a few big hits in the USA. With Roller and Just between you and me, looking forward to catching up with the reactions already posted by you guys,

Cheers from Canada. I grew up on bands like April Wine. “Roller” and “Oowatanite” are two of my personal favourite songs of theirs.

April Wine were a hard working band that toured ALL over Canada, and also in the US during the seventies. Like quite a few Canadians of my age group, they were the first rock concert that I attended. I think I saw them twice. Roller and Oowatanite are two good listens. I remember travelling to Massachusetts in 1981, and recall that their Nature of the Beast album was popular on whatever Boston radio station I was listening to at the time.

Not sure why they weren't bigger in the US, Sign of the Gypsy Queen and especially Just Between You and Me were staples of early MTV.

Brothers , you surpass yourselves very week . This remids me of the late 1980s when I bought the vinyl of the first Monster of Rock at Castle Donington , fronted by Rainbow in the late 1980s . It was a great surprise to meet April Wine playing I Like to Rock live . The album is all good , with appearances by Scorpions , Saxon , Judas Priest , Touch , the cream of Rock at the tlme . Congratulations Brothers .

April Wine were huge in Canada during the 70's and 80's.
Myles Goodwin the lead vocalist past away just recently. 😞
The homage at the end was both Day Tripper and Satisfaction by the Stones.
There is a Canadian show called The Trailer Park Boys and in one episode they kidnap Alex Lifeson from Rush. Ricky asks Alex to play I like to rock and Alex replies, that's April Wine. It was a pretty funny show.
    Other Songs
    Say Hello
    Roller the official music video
    Sign of the Gypsy Queen
    Just between you and me
    to name a few.
    Cheers 🇨🇦

Guess they were never huge, but they did headline arenas quite a bit. Saw them at the Forum in Montreal 1984. Good times :)

Did you all notice the nod to The Rolling Stones where it seems to morph into “I Can’t Get No Satisfaction” right at the end?

With 16 studio albums, multiple live recordings, there's lots to choose from. Their catalog is an extensive one. Ballads to Hard Rock. Still touring! This track is not their 'best' known one. Two of the gentlemen appearing here have passed. Bassist Steve Lang and this past Dec, lead vocalist singer songwriter, Myles Goodwyn. Check out 'Roller', official video from 1979. It will not disappoint your taste.
