I went in thinking, "Just another documentary about parenting, it should be cool and offer thoughtful snippets on toddlers, early psychological development, that sort of thing." I came out bawling. Beautifully written, visualized and composed.
My husband actually insisted and was excited to watch this with me tonight and I am so glad that we both did. It has open up our eyes more as a first time parents and further explained some of my points in a way my husband understood. We truly enjoyed it!
I just watched the documentary and I must say the trailer doesn't do it justice... It really was a great documentary that really makes some valid points about our lack of investment in the children of today who will eventually be our future...
Thank you for making such a beautiful film. I have already started sharing it with friends via email, but will also help spread the word about it through my Facebook page and other social media. I found it by chance on Netflix and think everyone should watch it, especially soon-to-be parents who truly want to do their best for their children. It reminds me of how blessed I am to have had such loving parents.
I'm so in love with this documentary, as a first time expectant Mom this is very special. Its so beautifully filmed and really interesting. Thank you! Have watched it a few times already and about to again now :-)
The film is very moving because it features precious children from around the world. However, of the 7 Black families featured, 4 were dysfunctional and/or poverty stricken. It would have been nice to see a more economically and socially diverse group of Black families.
Early years does matter and that is why the Early Childhood Commission is on a drive in setting up Brain Builders Centres and Parent Places. Thanks UNICEF
My wife asked me to watch this and I think it is the best gift I have ever received.
She wants kids.
oh just shut the fuck up.

Great series. However, it would be nice if you could have put the words at the bottom of the screen as half the people in it did not speak English!
1:53 wow I never thought about that
It looks like a nice film, I'll try to find it on netflix as people suggested.
