This game did such a great job of recreating the music from the movie, and this one is my favorite one because it sounds nearly identical to the song in the movie, and this is on a 16 bit console. It's impressive how the game delevopers got the Sega Genesis to sound like this.

Another option they could,ve done was use audio streaming for real (monorized) music but that would,ve probably add extra costs to the extra rom space required for that,so haha.

This is it, it may sound all lovely and shit, but this is the level that will end your lion king run the first time you are playing, maybe several times. You will not get through all the water sections, and THEN the two double jumps with any lives left.
It's bizarre but I enjoy the megadrive music a tad more and what's even more bizarre I never ever owned the Megadrive or SNES version of the lion King. I'm just listening to the tunes for the first time now. I originally owned the Gameboy version. I'm trying to decide whether it's just preference for the megadrive sound chip due to having a megadrive despite not owning the game or there's something I liked about the movie song that isn't quite being met by the SNES version despite it's accuracy that the megadrive version hits despite it's inaccurate instruments. To me the SNES version feels like a fun stroll to me despite it being accurate instrument wise. I'm still wondering whether I'm not use to the SNES chip. I never owned a SNES back in the day. My first SNES is that SNES classic mini system which I still haven't used yet.=/ The megadrive version despite it's inaccuracy instrument wise makes me want to sing the song and I can imagine them messing with Zazu and riding ostriches. I'm weird I guess.
You like it because it sounds better. You feel like you have to defend yourself because you keep hearing people say the SNES has better and more 'accurate' sound. It's true that it was capable of more sophisticated songs and had more sound samples. But the Genesis has always been underrated musically. The Lion King soundtrack was flat out better on Genesis with the exception of maybe 2 songs like the Circle Of Life on SNES.

I didn't hear any notes that sounded off. On the SNES version the flute definitely sounds off in parts. Also strange sounding xylophones with reverb. It didn't sound bad but the Genesis version is more alive and has a better melody.

In the snes the bass sounds like a cow mooing sleepily while on sega the bass is has more oomph. The difference is clear on the be prepared music
