@ Kaniz, yes but if you are landing at Jeddah airport with the intention of Umrah or Hajj, you are already crossing the Miqat. Hence, you should be in the state of Ihram before landing.
Salaam brother, one quick question, im travelling from UK to jeddah but i got stop over at dohr, Qatar,. When do i put my ahraam on? In dohr or before we flyover saudi to dohar???
If you are coming to Jeddah knowing that you are going to do Umrah, then you have to make your Niyat (and wear Ihram) at the Miqat before landing at the airport
Salaam. If you land in Jeddah with the intention of going to Madinah first then you do not need Ihram before landing. You can go to Madinah in your regular clothes. Then you can enter the state of Ihram from Madinah / the Meeqat nearest to Madinah (ie Dhul Hulayfah).
Assalamualaikum brother, my flight will land in Riyadh from India. Can i wear ehraam on Riyadh airport? I have then connecting flight to Jeddah from Riyadh.
Walaikum Salam. He can wear Ihram from home. Or if you have a stopover in between, he can wear it there. Then 10-15 minutes before the plane lands in Jeddah, he can make the neyyat.
Assalamualaikum brother im planning for umrah end of this month Inshallah from India. Can i land first in madina and the go to mecca for umrah or there any restrictions?
Walaikum Salam brother, it’s absolutely fine to land in Madinah and then go to Makkah later. If you do this, you will start your Ihram from Dhul Hulayfah (just outside Madinah) on your way to Makkah.
Asalamualaikum brother if there are no showers at the air port what is the best soloution to when wear the ihram should I shower or ghusl at home and then wear my normal casual clothes and then at the airport or on the plane where my ihram is that fine or allowed and does this mean I enter the state of ihram or is entering state of ihram when you make the intention and when do you make the intention when at the miqat or when your wearing the ihram anytime Jzk please reply may Allah bless u with the amazing videos u provide
Walaikum Salam Brother, By airport, do you mean Jeddah airport? If so, please remember Jeddah airport is inside the Miqat so you must be in the state of Ihram before landing. If you mean another airport from where you are flying to Jeddah, then yes you can wear your Ihram from there. However, yes, you enter the state of Ihram only when you make the intention. It is Sunnah to do a ghusl just before entering the state of Ihram but if it is not possible, that’s fine. The Umrah is valid. Normally, you wear the Ihram before getting on the plane and make your intention 10-15 minutes before landing. They usually announce in the plane when you are about to cross the Miqat. You can make your intention just then or even before that. “If a person does not do ghusl just before entering ihram, his Hajj or ‘Umrah will be valid, because doing ghusl is not a condition for Hajj or ‘Umrah; rather it is Sunnah -- if a person does it, he will be rewarded for it, but if he does not do it, there is no sin on him.” (Majmu` al-Fatwa, 10/22) Allah knows that you would have taken a shower if possible. We can hope that you will be rewarded accordingly. Even if not, your Umrah is perfectly valid In Sha Allah. Jazak Allah Khair for your kind words and thank you for watching.
@ so is it fine brother if I make ghusl and do a shower at home which I live in Birmingham and then wear my casual clothes and go into the state of ihram at Birmingham airport or on the plane to Jeddah and do I need to read 2rakats I’ve heard that’s good is that compulsory tho Jzk one again
Yes, that’s how I would probably do that in your situation. Rasulullah (SAW) prayed 2 rakats when he entered the state of Ihram from Dhul Hulayfah. Based on this, there are two opinions. A. It is Sunnah to pray 2 rakat whenever you enter Ihram. B. It is Sunnah to pray 2 rakat at Dhul Hulayfah only, not if you enter Ihram anywhere else. Either way, it is not compulsory. If you can pray 2 rakats, that’s good. If not, your Ihram and Umrah will be valid In Sha Allah
You can wear your Ihram on the plane, including on Saudia. Many people do. I personally find it a little inconvenient because the bathrooms are a bit narrow. However, if that works for you, there’s nothing wrong with that.
It is good to take a bath and clip your nails before putting on your Ihram. Then when you reach the miqat, you make your intention by saying “Labbaik Allahumma Umrah”.
You can wear a jacket until you make the intention of Umrah. That’s usually only a few minutes before landing in Jeddah. Once you make the intention, you cannot wear a jacket.
You must enter the state of Ihram before you reach the Meeqat zone. Since Jeddah is already in the Meeqat zone, you must wear your Ihram and make the intention before landing in Jeddah. As yours is a short flight, the best bet is to wear it before boarding the plane from Sharjah.
Asalamualaikum hope all is well brother my question to you is that I’m planning on performing hajj in 2025 is it alright if I shower from home and then at the Manchester airport I wear my ihram before boarding from Manchester airport to Jeddah airport or is this not allowed as when I’m traveling from home to Manchester aripirt I could possibly sweat whip of course may ruin purity Jzk please reply
Walaikum Salam, Brother. Yes, you can wear your Ihram from Manchester. Wearing the Ihram doesn’t put you in the state of Ihram. That only starts when you make your intention by saying “Labbaik Allahumma … “. You make the intention just before landing in Jedddah. They will announce when to make your intention. Until then, you are wearing the clothes of Ihram but you are not in Ihram. As for sweating, that’s fine. Let’s not make life more difficult than it already is. For hajj, you will be in Ihram for a few days. Of course, you are going to sweat. Don’t worry about it. May Allah accept your Hajj. I am also planning to go In Sha Allah. Please make dua for me and my family.
I have a question so my flgiht will be from rome (transit) to jeddah. I guess I will try to wear it in the bathroom or other case scneario in plane bathroom. But we will arrive in makkah at like 1am. So can I go to sleep in my ihram since will most likely perform umrah in morning? I am not allowed to take it off at all? E.g. if I go toilet how does it work?
Yes, you can sleep in Ihram. You can go to the toilet, you can take it off and take a bath / shower (if you want) and wear it again. That’s all ok. You just cannot wear your regular clothes until you finish your Umrah and cut your hair. Allah knows best.
If you are flying from Riyadh to Jeddah, then you will cross the Miqat shortly before landing in Jeddah. You might find it convenient to wear your Ihram from Riyadh (just because wearing it on the plane is difficult) but then you make your niyyah (intention) few minutes before landing in Jeddah. Allah knows best.
i have a 1 hour 20 min layover in kuwait. from there can i wear my ehram cloth. please answer me . i am going to perfrom my first umrah. some people says me to wear it from Dhaka airport
1 hour and 20 minutes might be just enough to go to the gate and wear your Ihram. I would suggest go to your gate first, go through all necessary formalities because this will reduce the risk of missing your connecting flight. Then once you are at the gate, waiting to board, find a bathroom nearby and change into your Ihram.
I will be flying in to Jeddah but will spend a few days in Medina before heading to Mecca. Can I wear my ihram before I leave Medina or do I have to wear it before? I intend to do umrah after the few days in medina
I am flying from Lhr to doha with 55mins stopover then flying to Jeddah. Is 55mins long enough to wear ihram and pray 2nafl? How far are prayer and abultion areas in doha airport?
@ Adeel, There are a number of prayer rooms at Doha airport. How far it would be for you depends on your gate number. A 55 minute-stopover sounds quite tight. You might just be able to wear your Ihram if you pop into a toilet near your gate. I would suggest run to your gate first, find out what’s the nearest toilet. Ask the staff at your gate how long you can take to go and change. They will be able to tell you at what time the gate will close. Sometimes if the next flight is a little delayed, they might tell you - Ok, come back in say 20 minutes (for example). Praying 2 rakat might be difficult but depends on your gate number. May Allah make it easy. Please make Dua for me.
We’re going for umrah from USA through Egypt airlines so we have 1.5 hour stay in Egypt…we’ll land on Jeddah airport …so my question is …do we have to wear ihram on Egypt airport or we can wear it in Jeddah airport??? My husband is saying we just have to leave the boundary of miqat…so we’ll go to our hotel in Mecca …do the rest and then we’ll go to masjid e Ayesha to leave the boundary of miqat with the niyat of umrah and then we’ll perform umrah…. Bcz after such a long journey we won’t be able to perform umrah… I have tried explaining him so many times that we have to land at Jedda airport in ihram… but he’s not listening to me… Can you please clarify it more
If you are going to cross the boundaries of Miqat and in your mind you want to go for Umrah, you must wear the Ihram and make niyat before entering the Miqat area. Jeddah airport is inside the Miqat and hence you need to be in Ihram before landing. Yes, before landing. If a man wears the Ihram at Jeddah airport after landing, they have violated a condition of the Ihram. If they go to Makkah without wearing Ihram, they violate a condition of the Ihram. This should not be done knowingly. If someone did it out of ignorance, what he or she should do - according to the majority of scholars - is offer a sheep, to be slaughtered in the Haram and its meat is to be distributed to the poor there. Masjid Ayesha is not a valid option in this case. That’s because Masjid Ayesha is for the people who live in Makkah or have already done their Umrah and want to do a second Umrah. When you go to Makkah, you do not need to do your Umrah straightaway. You can sleep, rest, eat, and freshen up. Men need to continue to wear the Ihram while you rest, otherwise there’s no problem in waiting until you are ready to do your Umrah. If anyone feels uncomfortable to wear the Ihram before landing, I recommend going to Madinah first. You can either land in Madinah or if your flight to Jeddah is already booked, you can take a taxi from Jeddah to Madinah. Spend a few days there and then go to Makkah. That way, you don’t need Ihram before landing. You can wear your Ihram from your Madinah hotel before checking out and then go to Makkah by road. Allah knows best.
If you are flying to Jeddah on a direct flight then you have two options - 1. Wear your Ihram before getting on the plane from your original city of departure. OR 2. Wear your Ihram in the plane bathroom. Personally, I would prefer the first option but it’s up to you.
@@LifeMoves jazakallah brother I will just put ehram before flight another question when should I do the umrah dua shall I do it when the airplane says or what should I do
Do you mean the intention of Umrah? For example “Labbayk Allahumma Umrah”. You can make your intention about 10-15 minutes before landing in Jeddah. Some airlines may announce it, some may not.
Thank you so much brother, I was looking for this information. We are flying to Jeddah from USA and perform umrah first and we were thinking to make niyat on plane and wear Ihram after arriving hotel. Since it’s going to be 14 hours flight, we thought that we won’t be able to keep it clean, (using restroom on the plane plus traveling with baby and toddlers), but were not sure if we should be allowed for this or not. Your video really answered my question. God Bless you.
Thank you for your kind words. As you are aware, there is no separate clothes of Ihram for women. So, if you are coming as a group/family, only the men have to wear the clothes of Ihram. However, if they cannot wear them before landing in Jeddah for a reason, they can still make the intention of Ihram, then wear the clothes of Ihram as soon as they can afterwards and then give Fidyah. For example, you can feed six people an average meal for each of the men/boys who did not wear the clothes of Ihram before landing in Jeddah. I quote: “Fidyah is to (1) fast for three days , which may be done consecutively or separately, as he chooses; or to (2) sacrifice a sheep of a type that is acceptable for the `Eid sacrifice, or one-seventh of a camel or of a cow instead, and to distribute its meat among the poor and not eat any of it himself; or to (3) feed six poor persons, giving each one half a Sa` of staple food. He is given the CHOICE between these 3 options if he removes any hair or nails, puts on perfume, touches a woman with desire (but without having intercourse), if a woman puts on gloves or a face-veil , or if a male puts on form-fitting CLOTHES or covers his head.” Disclaimer: I am not a scholar. If you are going to Madinah first, and then from Madinah to Makkah, then you do not have to enter Ihram in Dubai. Rather, you would arrive in Madinah normally, spend your time there, and then enter Ihram before going to Makkah. When going from Madinah to Makkah, you must enter Ihram at or before Dhul Hulayfah (short distance outside Madinah). You can do so at the hotel before leaving Madinah.
Assalamu’alaikum bother. I am planning to travel to Jeddah for Umrah from London (it’s a direct flight with no layovers) but I intend to pass the night in a Hotel in Jedda before proceeding to Mecca to perform Umrah the next day. Please where is the Meeqat point for me? Is it on the plane or in jeddah? Also, if I’m to enter Ihram on the plane, can I perform Ghusl from home before heading to the airport, then make niyya when the announcement is made on the plane? Can I take a shower and change clothes in the morning in Jeddah after I’ve entered the state of ihram, before heading to Mecca? Thank you
Walaikum Salam @ Fatima Ibrahim Kure, Jeddah airport is within the meeqat boundary. So, if you arrive in Jeddah with the intention of going to Makkah for Umrah, you must enter the state of Ihram before landing, even if you spend a night in Jeddah. Ghusl is sunnah, not obligatory. So, even if you don’t perform Ghusl exactly at the time of making your niyyah, that should be ok. If it was me, I would do ghusl at home before heading to the airport. Allah knows best. You can perform Ghusl and change clothes in the state of Ihram, as long as you don’t break any of the conditions of Ihram. Allah knows best.
Assalam u alai kum brother i plan to travel from madinah to jeddah 1day before eid by road and intend to perform umrah next day after celebrating eid, can i be in ihram from my hotel in jeddah if not then where should be my meeqat point?
Walaikum Salam. I am not a scholar of Islam. Please do ask people of knowledge for a specific ruling in your case. So, the following information is general guidance and for informational purposes only. Jeddah is inside the meeqaat boundary. So, if someone goes to Jeddah with the intention of doing Umrah afterwards, they are supposed to enter Ihram from the meeqaat. Scholars might suggest going to Makkah and doing Umrah first. “If he cannot start with ‘Umrah, and it is hard for him to spend the days in Jeddah in the ihraam garments, then he does not have to enter ihraam from the meeqaat when he first passes it, but when he wants to enter ihraam for Umrah after finishing his work in Jeddah, he must go out to the meeqaat and enter ihraam from there. If he does not do that and he enters ihraam from Jeddah, then he has omitted one of the obligatory duties of ihraam and he must slaughter a sheep in Makkah and distribute its meat to the poor of the Haram.” Allah knows best. Please ask a scholar for a ruling in your case.
My friend thank you. I’m coming from USA to doha to Jeddah to perform umrah with my mom. Am I supposed to shower in doha to change info ihram clothing? Or can I shower from usa and come to Doha and do wadu change into ihram and do 2 rakat salah? I have very little knowledge. Plz help.
@ Farzana, Taking a shower is not mandatory. Men have to wear the clothes of Ihram before landing in Jeddah. Women can wear their regular clothes and only make intention of Umrah before landing in Jeddah. For those who are changing into Ihram clothes, I would suggest they change in Doha.
Hi I appreciate you! I will be in medina first. Can I pass zulhulaifah miqat and goto masjid aicha for my ihram Reason is i got luggages and i don't know if i can keep them at the masjid my time praying at zulhulaifah miqat . Or can i go back to my hotel to pick up my luggage after state of ihram. ??
You can wear your Ihram from your hotel in Madinah. Then when you pass Dhul Hulayfah you can just make the intention / niyyah. It is not mandatory to stop at Dhul Hulayfah. It is Sunnah but your umrah is valid even if you don’t enter the masjid at Dhul Hulayfah. You must wear your Ihram before Dhul Hulayfah (for example, from your hotel in Madinah) and make your intention for umrah before passing Dhul Hulayfah. You should not pass Dhul Hulayfah without Ihram and without niyyah. I hope that makes sense.
If you travel from Madinah to Makkah by train, I would suggest you wear your Ihram from your hotel in Madinah. After departure, there will be an announcement before crossing the Meeqat. That’s when you make your intention of Ihram.
Assalam al aikum brother, a quick question. If you land in Jeddah to go to Madinah first and then wear ihram from there to come to Makkah. Is that acceptable.
Walaikum Salam. Yes, when you land in Jeddah with the intention of going to Madinah first, you can land at Jeddah airport without Ihram. Then from Madinah, you would start your Ihram at Dhul Hulayfah.
Asalamu alaikum Brother. I have a question. If i am going to jeddah first but i want to go madinah from jeddah and then come back to Makkah after few days for umrah. In this case , I do have intention of Umrah but it's not immediate , I want to go madinah first. So am I allowed to wear ihram (go into state of ihram) at miqat Dhul Hulaifah whilst coming to Makkah from madinah?
Walaikum Salam. If I arrive in Jeddah with the intention to go to Madinah first and then come back to Makkah a few days later, I don’t enter Ihram before landing. In that case, I start my Ihram from Dhul Hulayfah on my way from Madinah to Makkah. Allah knows best.
Asalamu Alaikum Brother, I have a question. If I go to Jeddah first but then go directly to madinah from there for few days. I do have intention of doing Umrah, but it's not immediate, it would be when I go to Makkah from madinah after few days. So in this case am I allowed to wear ihram ( go into state of ihram ) at miqat Dhul Hulaifah whilst going to Makkah from madinah? Or do I have to wear it before landing in Jeddah Airport?
Walaikum Salam, If you arrive in Jeddah with the intention of leaving the miqat boundary, go to Madinah and come back to Makkah later, then you don’t have to wear your Ihram when you land. You can wear it from Dhul Hulayfah when you come from Madinah to Makkah. Allah knows best,
@@LifeMoves Thanks brother for clearing my doubt. So I can make intention at miqat Dhul Hulaifah whilst going to Makkah from madinah. Till here it's clear. Can I also make the intention of ihram at the hotel in madinah before leaving for Makkah or do I have to go to Dhul Hulaifah ?
You can make your intention at or before Dhul Hulayfah. It doesn’t have to be exactly at Dhul Hulayfah, you can wear your Ihram and make your intention before Dhul Hulayfah (but not after Dhul Hulayfah). So, yes, the hotel should be ok. However, it is Sunnah to stop at Dhul Hulayfah and pray 2 rakat. If you do not or cannot stop, that’s ok. Allah knows best.
i hv found your video very helpful, some other queries i need to ask . 1) im going jeddah airport then will go for hotel , can we change our clothes take bath etc before going to perform umrah? 2) is is true being a women we strictly hv to avoid any clothes touch your face ??
@ Anousha Zia, Thank you for watching and for your kind words. 1. There is nothing wrong with changing clothes and taking baths, as long as the rules of Ihram regarding clothes are maintained. 2. It was narrated that ‘Abd-Allah ibn ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: A man stood up and said: “O Messenger of Allah, what clothes do you command us to wear in ihram?” The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Do not wear shirts, pants or any kind of headgear… and women in ihram should not wear niqaab or gloves.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 1741. - Please note, I am not a scholar. Assalamualaikum brother I am planning to travel from Dammam to Jeddah is it ok if I make Niyah and wear Ihram from Home please advise May Allah bless you and Thanks in advance
Walaikum Salam brother. I understand that you are flying from Dammam to Jeddah. In that case, you can make the Niyah and wear the Ihram anywhere before landing at the Jeddah airport. If you wear it from your home in Dammam, that’s fine. You can make your Niyah from home or on the plane before landing.
I have not traveled from Taif to Makkah but as far as I know, the Meeqat for Taif is Qarn al-Manāzil (قَرْن ٱلْمَنَازِل) at As-Sayl Al-Kabir (ٱلسَّيْل ٱلْكَبِيْر).
I’m traveling to Jeddah next week. I’ve one hour layover at the airport and because of that I don’t know if I’ll have enough time to wear ihram etc. at the airport. Would appreciate any suggestions. JazakAllah
@ Faran, Thank you for watching the video. You are supposed to enter the state of Ihram before you reach the Meeqat zone. You can wear ehram in air port or inside the aircraft depending on which airlines flight you going aircraft announce the miqat area our was air Arabia from Sharjah to Jeddha
I'm landing in Jeddah at 8pm and by the time i get to my hotel room in makkah, it will be 11pm. Can I wear the Ihram in my hotel room the next day in the morning and then do Tawaf, Safa Marwa, hair cut etc?
No, if you land in Jeddah with the knowledge and intention that you will perform Umrah, you must wear your Ihram before landing at Jeddah airport. Even if you perform the Umrah the next day, you must remain in Ihram until you finish your Umrah and get your haircut. If you break the Ihram, you must give a penalty.
@ Khalil, No, Brother, not to the government. Of course not. The state of Ihram has certain rules that one must follow. For example, the plain garment is one of them. Please find out what the rules are. If the rules are broken, some penalties / expiations may be applicable. For example, one penalty is feeding six poor people. As I am not an Islamic scholars, I would rather not advise the specifics. Please find out the rules of Umrah from a reputable scholar or reliable source.

as i am going to Jeddah to Macca via Oman Muscat from Dhaka Bangladesh . At Muscat i will have 2.30 hour layover. Where should i wear Ehram? Dhaka? Muscat? Jeddah? I am a Diabetic and need to go frequently to the washroom. Thanks.
@ Shawon, Either Dhaka or Muscat - whichever you find convenient. As long as you have Ihram on before landing in Jeddah, you are ok. Personally, I would wear the Ihram at the layover airport. Why wear it for longer than needed? Muscat to Jeddah is just 3 hours. You will be ok In Sha Allah. But if you have to use the bathroom, you will have to do it while wearing your Ihram.

This video about wearing Ihram was from male viewpoint because only men have to wear specific clothes for Hajj and Umrah. Women can wear their normal clothes. I appreciate your comment and thank you for watching.

Masjid Johffa is also Miqat for those coming from Jeddah, you can wear ehram from there as well
@ Kaniz, yes but if you are landing at Jeddah airport with the intention of Umrah or Hajj, you are already crossing the Miqat. Hence, you should be in the state of Ihram before landing.

I am coming from India staying in Jeddah for one day then I will go to do Umrah. So can do Niyat at hotel in Jeddah or at Miqat
If you are coming to Jeddah knowing that you are going to do Umrah, then you have to make your Niyat (and wear Ihram) at the Miqat before landing at the airport
How do you do the penalty after coming home not knowing about it?
Please describe what happened. It is difficult to answer without knowing all the details.

Is it possible to enter the state of ihram in Madinah even if you enter Saudi Arabia through Jeddah?
Salaam. If you land in Jeddah with the intention of going to Madinah first then you do not need Ihram before landing. You can go to Madinah in your regular clothes. Then you can enter the state of Ihram from Madinah / the Meeqat nearest to Madinah (ie Dhul Hulayfah).

Jzk please reply may Allah bless u with the amazing videos u provide
Walaikum Salam Brother,
By airport, do you mean Jeddah airport?
“If a person does not do ghusl just before entering ihram, his Hajj or ‘Umrah will be valid, because doing ghusl is not a condition for Hajj or ‘Umrah; rather it is Sunnah -- if a person does it, he will be rewarded for it, but if he does not do it, there is no sin on him.” (Majmu` al-Fatwa, 10/22)
Allah knows that you would have taken a shower if possible. We can hope that you will be rewarded accordingly. Even if not, your Umrah is perfectly valid In Sha Allah.
Jazak Allah Khair for your kind words and thank you for watching.
@ so is it fine brother if I make ghusl and do a shower at home which I live in Birmingham and then wear my casual clothes and go into the state of ihram at Birmingham airport or on the plane to Jeddah and do I need to read 2rakats I’ve heard that’s good is that compulsory tho
Jzk one again
Do you know saudi airlines in the aeroplane can i put a ehram on in there and what are the procedures to wear it in the plane and what do i read
You can wear your Ihram on the plane, including on Saudia. Many people do. I personally find it a little inconvenient because the bathrooms are a bit narrow. However, if that works for you, there’s nothing wrong with that.
@@LifeMoves ok jazakallah
Also brother what duas and things do u have to do before putting ehram on
It is good to take a bath and clip your nails before putting on your Ihram. Then when you reach the miqat, you make your intention by saying “Labbaik Allahumma Umrah”.
Afetr wearing ihram cloths, can we wear jaquet, bcs you know inside plane its cold
You can wear a jacket until you make the intention of Umrah. That’s usually only a few minutes before landing in Jeddah. Once you make the intention, you cannot wear a jacket.
From Sharjah airport to jeddha where is the meeqat point please advise
You must enter the state of Ihram before you reach the Meeqat zone. Since Jeddah is already in the Meeqat zone, you must wear your Ihram and make the intention before landing in Jeddah.
As yours is a short flight, the best bet is to wear it before boarding the plane from Sharjah.
Thank you so much brother insha'Allah
Asalamualaikum hope all is well brother my question to you is that I’m planning on performing hajj in 2025 is it alright if I shower from home and then at the Manchester airport I wear my ihram before boarding from Manchester airport to Jeddah airport or is this not allowed as when I’m traveling from home to Manchester aripirt I could possibly sweat whip of course may ruin purity
Jzk please reply

@LifeMoves Jazakallah Khair
I am living at riyadh.i am going to umrah through riyadh airport.from where i will wear ihram? Home or airport?
If i am coming to jeddah airport and took train to madinah then where should i do ihram for makkah?
If you go to Madinah and then later to Makkah then you would start your Ihram at Dhul Hulayfah when you travel from Madinah to Makkah.
I will be flying in to Jeddah but will spend a few days in Medina before heading to Mecca. Can I wear my ihram before I leave Medina or do I have to wear it before? I intend to do umrah after the few days in medina
If you go to Madinah before Umrah, you do not need Ihram when you land in Jeddah. You have to wear your Ihram when you travel from Madinah to Makkah.
Bcz after such a long journey we won’t be able to perform umrah…
I have tried explaining him so many times that we have to land at Jedda airport in ihram… but he’s not listening to me…
Can you please clarify it more
If you are going to cross the boundaries of Miqat and in your mind you want to go for Umrah, you must wear the Ihram and make niyat before entering the Miqat area.
I am going to Jeddah so do i wear my ehram in the airplane bathroom because its s direct flight
Brother I am flying on Saudi airlines ok jazakallah brother
He is given the CHOICE between these 3 options if he removes any hair or nails, puts on perfume, touches a woman with desire (but without having intercourse), if a woman puts on gloves or a face-veil , or if a male puts on form-fitting CLOTHES or covers his head.”

If i am flying into dubai, then 2 hours later flying to madina, do I enter Ihram in the hotel at madina or do I do it in the airport at dubai airport?
If you are going to Madinah first, and then from Madinah to Makkah, then you do not have to enter Ihram in Dubai. Rather, you would arrive in Madinah normally, spend your time there, and then enter Ihram before going to Makkah.
When going from Madinah to Makkah, you must enter Ihram at or before Dhul Hulayfah (short distance outside Madinah). You can do so at the hotel before leaving Madinah.

Thank you
Walaikum Salam @ Fatima Ibrahim Kure,
Jeddah airport is within the meeqat boundary.

If he does not do that and he enters ihraam from Jeddah, then he has omitted one of the obligatory duties of ihraam and he must slaughter a sheep in Makkah and distribute its meat to the poor of the Haram.”
Allah knows best.
Plz help.
@ Farzana,
Taking a shower is not mandatory. Men have to wear the clothes of Ihram before landing in Jeddah. Women can wear their regular clothes and only make intention of Umrah before landing in Jeddah.
For those who are changing into Ihram clothes, I would suggest they change in Doha.

I appreciate you! I will be in medina first. Can I pass zulhulaifah miqat and goto masjid aicha for my ihram
Reason is i got luggages and i don't know if i can keep them at the masjid my time praying at zulhulaifah miqat .
@@LifeMoves what about the 2 nafl salah, when and where to pray if traveling by the train from madinah to mecca?

If you travel from Madinah to Makkah by train, I would suggest you wear your Ihram from your hotel in Madinah. After departure, there will be an announcement before crossing the Meeqat. That’s when you make your intention of Ihram.

Assalam al aikum brother, a quick question. If you land in Jeddah to go to Madinah first and then wear ihram from there to come to Makkah. Is that acceptable.

So in this case am I allowed to wear ihram ( go into state of ihram ) at miqat Dhul Hulaifah whilst going to Makkah from madinah? Or do I have to wear it before landing in Jeddah Airport?
Walaikum Salam,
If you arrive in Jeddah with the intention of leaving the miqat boundary, go to Madinah and come back to Makkah later, then you don’t have to wear your Ihram when you land. You can wear it from Dhul Hulayfah when you come from Madinah to Makkah. Allah knows best,

1) im going jeddah airport then will go for hotel , can we change our clothes take bath etc before going to perform umrah?
2) is is true being a women we strictly hv to avoid any clothes touch your face ??
@ Anousha Zia,
Thank you for watching and for your kind words.

No, Brother, not to the government. Of course not. The state of Ihram has certain rules that one must follow. For example, the plain garment is one of them. Please find out what the rules are.
