Very impressive setup and the time he took to explain the stand build and each detail of this fabulous track is very helpful. Then he explains what he would have done differently is likely the best benefit of watching this vid. Well done, hopefully he makes more instructional vid’s. This one is a must watch, two thumbs up!

Loved your shirt. I also don`t use to have idols, but Senna is an exception. The most incredible driver I`ve ever seen on a track, and out of it as well.
Senna will always be my favourite driver. And as you said he was something in the car, but also out of the car.

WOW WOW I have been researching Carrera D132 for a few weeks now and my table size has to be 6' x 12' max for my room. This gives me hope now.
Oh yeah brother, you can fit a decent layout on a 6x12. Carrera is a wider track than most but you can still fit a decent layout on that space. Cheers!

Love the layout. What are all the track pieces used if you dont mind me asking. I probably have enough are to shoehorn a 12x8 but a 12x6 would leave more breathing room for sure. A nice track design for the amount of are. Conratulations on a most excellent layout.

Great video, it actually got me interested in doing this. I have a spare room cleaned out and the floor is marked out with tape. My plan is to build a table, but I thought I'd wait and lay it all out on the floor first to make sure everything fits. I bought the software you spoke of in your video and it likely saved me some money and time no doubt. I don't know if you buy your track here locally, I'm in the GTA area. I noticed bigboyswithcooltoys sells a lot of the Carerra stuff. Thanks again and I subscribed to your channel.
Hi Serge! Awesome! It’s a really fun hobby. The software is a really time saver to be honest, it isn’t a must but I enjoy using it. Yeah I actually buy a lot of my stuff from Panther Hobbies and Trains, Big Boys is just down the street from them and I’ve bought the odd thing from them as well. Both are great options of the GTA! Yeah you’re not the first to mention that it’s not easy to find Carrera in Mexico...a lot of great online sources tho that could help you out. Hope you’re able to find a solution!
@@MPSlotCar btw, I have a question, can you start with a regular analog set and then expand it using a digital set? I know you need to get the digital chip for the cars but I don't know if the tracks have a cable or something like that to work with digital sets.
What did you used to elevate the track ?
awesome information provided. one question about that tongue twister build program. does it allow you to start with a kit (peak performance for example) and allow you to tweak to your own dimensions? regardless, i think i have to get that program to maximize my 5x10 layout.

Hi Jon, lol it is a tongue twister.
I haven’t used it in. Awhile but last I checked it didn’t give options for sets. You can however set your inventory so you can see how much track you have as you build. It’s sometimes not the most user friendly software, but once you get use to it it’s a good tool.

How many linear feet of track is your layout?

Great looking setup! Does the track-building software tell you the amount of space/area needed for your layout and does it show you the lane length for each lane?
Hi Dave, thanks brother 🙌🏻 no not really, I just took my measurements and knew how many straights I could fit on my main straight and deigned from there. It will give you the lane lengths for the inside and outside lanes.

Sorry if I missed it, did you use styrofoam for your elevation supports? The led lighting strips looks fantastic, as does everything else.
Sorry for the delay! For the bridges I used thin styrofoam, technically it’s poster board.

The plywood is 1/4 inch. The table is roughly 3feet tall. And the Track planner I’m using is currently on MS, but I believe it could be installed on Mac.

QUICK QUESTION: For my carrera go track if it's around 15 meters long and cars looses power/speed at the opposite section of the Carrera 61530 Connecting Section.... instead of using carrera power cables can I just add an other Carrera 61530 Connecting Section to feed power on that side of the track? I won't burn the cars or track right? won't do a shorcircuit or break anything right? or even over powered the track as I would be using 2 power supplies one on each Carrera 61530 Connecting Section,each powered section apart from each other by 7.5 mts "ballpark", please advice.... Im curious, what do you see as difference between 1/32 cars and 1:24? I am running 1:24 and see that they are easier to drive, heavier, stay on track better. Curious what you think. I have room for a 6 x 12 layout.
Hi John, I agree 100%. The 1:24 scale cars are a little more predictable and easier to keep slotted. Both have a pros and cons like anything, but if I personally had to choose between 1:24 or 1:32 I’d go with the 1:24’s. Even for when I have new comers that want to try I feel like they can get the hang of it quicker with the 1:24s.

In America this is a cottage industry. It is a shame as it is so much fun. The hobby stores that support it are few and far between. Digital is a great way to go for grown ups. So realistic. Thanks Mossimo for the channel

To be honestly I never ended up get a proper measurement of that layout when I had it 👎🏼 sorry. The table was 6ft x 12ft and the track filled it but unfortunately I never measured it out.
Are the tracks the same width between the digital 132 and the digital 123?
Hi John, sorry I just saw the comment 😅 yeah the Carrera track that comes with the 132 cars is actually 124 scale track. But to comfortably use the 124s you need track boarders to allow the 124s some breathing room.
I just need to need to know if it's safe to use 2 power supplies on a 15 meters track without causing damages? I do not want to use the cable "carrera power cables" "tap cable" I rather add a second control unit with power supply but do not know if that will work as a "tap cable".... please let me know, cheers!

I just bought a Carrea 1/32 Analog race car set and i want to buy more track but all the track i can find says digital track ?
Hi, as far as I know the straights and corners are all cross compatible. You just wouldn’t be able to use any of the digital functions like, lane changers, pit lane/refuelling, and any other digital accessories
how are you displaying smartrace on your TV?
Right now I’m just casting it from my phone/app to the TV.
Have you run 1/24 cars on this setup? What size is your table? I would like to purchase a slot track for my son and have been looking into Carrera and Scalextric.
Yeah I did when I had it. You’d need to have track shoulders around the turns to support the bigger wider size. This table was 12x6 feet. Hope this helps.

What plywood thickness to keep the tables stable?
I used 3/4 ply for the current table.
where did you buy the lighting
Hi Marcus, I got most my lighting from slotcarmancave. The battery powered floodlights (Tipkick) I got off eBay.
How do you get the cars to not slide out so much on the tracks. My carrera 1/32 cars are so squirrelly, I feel like the magnets are not strong enough! Do you add magnets? I’m not even going that fast.
Hi Jake, no my cars are completely stock for the most part. Do you have longer straights that are maybe carrying a lot of speed into the corners? And is it all your cars or just a select few. I few of mine are very squirrelly compared to others and I really have to baby them around the track. A good fix if you haven’t already is buy some Paul Gage Tires or Quick Slicks.
Maybe clean you tires with adhesive tape, see this video:

I am new to slot cars, I saw a new Carrera 1/32 Digital tract for a pre order of 650 bucks or so USD, so my question is this a normal price to go digital?
Hi Jim, yeah for the most part. Digital sets are more pricy than analog due to the digital capabilities. That prices seems spot on to what sets are going for these days.
