I haven’t thought or heard of this song in many years. I woke up three weeks after my best friend/sister died. This song crashed into my mind and my chest heaved. I think she may have been reminding me that’s she still around in all the old familiar places.
My Dad lost a brother in WWII He was only 20 years old. He died in Luxembourg. And my Mother lost a cousin, who was a pilot. I’m sure that this song would bring everyone to tears. How could it not? I’m getting sentimental, and I wasn’t even there. ❤️
George"s tribute to his Aunt Rosie is heartfelt! She was a great singer who didn't have to show off. She stood there and caressed the lyrics with perfect tone and hypnotized an audience!

Both my parents served in the 2nd world war. Of all the 2nd world war songs, I find this 'I'll be seeing you' the most poignant of all. Nobody knew in that terrible time just when and if they would see their loved ones again. This song embodies such tenderness and sadness at the same time - i think it's simply beautiful
We played this version of Miss Clooney's song at my mother's funeral. She and my dad were of the Big Band era and most likely had a cot in the corner of the Aragon Ballroom. As we concluded the service with this song, I could see and feel my parents dancing in the funeral chapel,, both of them 21 and 17 again. Still brings tears to my eyes. Both Miss Clooney and my mother were grand gals.

I am horrified as to how much weight she has gained…still love her voice, but why do they have to rush the tempo…
people of her generation were totally awesome.
I feel so fortunate to have seen her live in San Francisco 1993. She made us all feel like we were her favorite audience ever. Her voice was beautiful and comforting.

I love this song makes me feel about my childhood friend who passed away over 4years ago we wanted each other. She got sick and passed away I will never get over it i love you always rosa your always forever in my heart god bless you always.
I love that lady , her early songs were good but as she matured her voice took on a serene almost magic tone, she was one of the great music story tellers RIP Rosie.

Rosemary's control of her voice, her sublime diction and ability to follow the contours of a song made her one of the finest exponents of the American song we ever heard. This is a wonderfully intimate performance of a timeless composition.
For me, this is her voice at its absolute finest, her early voice was almost too perfect but this is so much better, not sure if that even makes any sense 😂
