6:59 it was patched in hotline miami 2, where gun enemies will back off from you once you're inside of them, but that doesnt work with melee ones, so you'll end up sometimes missing your shots that should've hit them because of that. Very happy to see the mod in the works, but damn. Can't help, but be worried that my hotline miami 2 muscle memory will cause me to die in cult.
yossarian the assyrian is a legend. huge respect to him and all the other modding devs keeping the spirit alive for the game's concepts. great to see you giving it a spotlight as well-
This is like Antibirth of Hotline Miami. I've seen so much cool stuff about 1-900-CULT but turns out it wasn't even the FRACTION of content and features it had up it's sleeve. Big Respect to Danny Judas and his team. Fucking dying to try out Wrong Editor too, looks soo much more flexible than the original one That's why I always come back to this game. The community is just too good
have been waiting for cult and wrong editor for a while.and will continue doing so for as it takes. they look so damn good. glad to see people talk about em.
finally got to hear mostenire’s voice after all these years It’s great to see this project still get developed. Our community isn’t exactly great at delivering projects on time compared to other games but it’s still great to see more content. Why I stopped playing Hotline Miami was because I genuinely started to find the game really outdated and janky; the crosshair felt terribly wavy and the fps was always stuck at 60 so aiming sucked, and like you said the core gameplay didn’t exactly promote aggressiveness. Arguably all these terrible optimization in HLM2 was why I had wrist pain problems later on because I had to accommodate so much to the game’s jankiness by death gripping my mouse, which led to me completely losing interest now. All these complaints are unorthodox and weird I know, but that was my struggle. OTXO was definitely more optimized and aiming felt better there which was great, but the game’s a roguelite which isn’t exactly what I’m looking for. I’m hoping when 1900-Cult comes out it’ll revitalize my love for Hotline Miami I previously had, while kinda matching the standards of optimization indie games are having in this day and age.
long time no talk man lmao. yeah hotline 2 is very dear to me but it's undeniably jank as hell (and still somehow less jank than hotline 1). seriously excited to not have to hold shift all the time.
Man im gonna feel guilty for playing that game for free especially seeing how promising it is. After finishing Oxto many time nearly completing the achivements. I been always looking for a game that scraches that itch. This game is really gonna do it for me when it releases well in a great state. Hope I can reward that in someway for it.
God; I remember growing up kinda with the hlm community as I found HLM 1 on ps3 and played it through there. Then the sequel dropped, bought and played it on ps3 too. Eventually getting my first pc and learning about the subreddit. The alpha to HLMWADEditor came out and at most I did was just recolors of like pardo and such. Sitting in my hot ass room at my aunt's house on a shitty all-in-one desktop running windows vista trying to figure out sprite work. The most I contributed was a couple playtesting and translations for other people's levels/campaigns. Most projects of my own just sit forever on my external harddrive that's gone through like 4 computers. (They're not very good)
@ Probably; I never made a substantial name in the community or subreddit despite my interest to. But by the time I got older and little more better; the community was fizzling out and became obsolete. Real shell of its hay day.

Finally something other than OTXO.
OTXO isn't bad, it's just another beast due to its different approach especially the boss fights.
