Hi Jez!! It’s me again! Greetings from Jakarta, Indonesia to Spain :) Thx for the reaction, glad you could have a look at this! It is kind of a shocking thing for me to see something about my country actually being reacted by you in your channel for real! Most of the time I watch your reaction to filipino artists, esp Mori and Kat since I’m their fanatic fan, and I love a lot of things about filipino singers, languages, and cultures despite me being a Chinese-descent Indonesian and have never been to Phillippines (but the similarity is kind of interesting, since Phillippines is our neighbor to the north), and aside of your Phillippines- and Indonesia-related content, I must say that other contents are also really lovely. I love your intro and your delivery (your tone, expression, intonation, gesture, and your accent-less very awesome english (though I don’t mind to hear accent or even the language itself, since I love languages, and for European languages I really like the sound of Romance, then Germanic, and then Slavic languages somehow, but your english in itself is just wow I think)).
Related to this video, I would really like to suggest another video(s) that you can either watch by yourself or react to it hopefully in the end (doesnt matter if not first-time reaction, as long as your reaction is honest):
    1) History of Indonesia in 12 Minutes by “Knowledgia” TH-cam Channel
2.1) Similarity between Portuguese (your neighboring country :)) and Indonesian (I forget the TH-cam channel name) or..
2.2) Similarity between Indonesian and different languages like Dutch, Arabic, Sanskrit (Indian language of Hinduism), Tamil (an Indian language (south) and also the oldest language in the world with the second being Sanskrit), Portuguese, Chinese, etc
    3) Similarity between Indonesian and Filipino (Tagalog) by Langfocus (if I’m not mistaken)
    4) Malay Language by Langfocus
I dont really remember if there is any video about similarity between Spanish and Indonesian I have watched before, but I will let you know if I remember something or find one later. Stay safe, happy, and healthy, hope you are all well, Gbu always!!!
Note: How about some singing video (as I remember that at the beginning of your channel and several times afterwards, you mentioned yourself being a music student (despite you need to sort of change course because of some accident but I cant remember it clearly)) and probably some vlog with your boyfriend, hehe

🇮🇩The unique facts about Jogja (Yogyakarta): it's actually a kingdom (monarchy). It has royal palace, a Sultan (King), a queen, princes & princesses (royal family) as well that existed & ruled the kingdom since 1755 until now. But since 1945, The Kingdom of Yogyakarta & it's people officially declared that they joined The Republic of Indonesia🇮🇩. The Kingdom of Yogyakarta has its own rules, but also follow Indonesian law.
That's why the full name of Jogja is "Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta" (Special Region of Yogyakarta). Because it's indeed special. Coz it's a kingdom (with the Sultan/King as the leader), but this kingdom is inside the Republic of Indonesia🇮🇩 (with the president as the leader).

From the first president, IR Soekarno, did not like Malaysia, because they betrayed the Manila agreement. At that time, Indonesia had a confrontation with Malaysia, Malaysia was supported by Australia and Britain, because the Indonesian people have a warrior spirit and are not afraid of them. Unlike Malaysia, they are independent because a gift from the UK, what is happening now Malaysia often claims food and culture from Indonesia I hope the next president has the soul and spirit like IR Sukarno to confront and invade Malaysia

this old video is now very different now and not everything he says is true. indeed there are many active volcanoes in Indonesia but it is safe otherwise how can it become the 4th largest in the world ?! Indonesia on the map somehow looks small, maybe it's a western conspiracy. In fact, Indonesia is as big as the entire continent of Europe.

  • @danielfersbeanto7942

We actually prefer to call it Nusantara , which is come from words Nusa and Antara whereas Nusa mean island , and Antara mean in between. The old terms from sanskrit is Dvipantara where Dvipa mean Island too. This word Nusantara famous because it is used in Gajah Mada's oath where we known that as Sumpah Palapa. so instead of archipelago we prefer to use term Nusantara. The other terms for Indonesia is Jamrud Khatulistiwa, as Indonesia are on the equator that terms mean the Emerald of Equator

The thing that makes me laugh a lot is when Americans call themselves Americans.
Me: Indonesian: Apa kabar? in English: How are you?
    What's in America?
    They replied, "How are you?"
Me: No...it's English...I want to know in American, "How are you?"
They always say, "How are you?"
I just smiled and said to myself that they don't have their own country language. Accents, they call their country's language. And Indonesia....has hundreds of accents in the language...but we have one unified language, Bahasa Indonesia... :)

The only thing I disagree with him is when he mimic the Malay Archipelago which was originally called Nusantara covering all of South East Asian countries. It was changed into Malay Archipelago during the mapping by Wallace at around 1940s. Long before the Western Invasion into our Nusantara archipelago, we all are brothers and sisters. Almost all countries are related by blood of our ancient kingdoms. He needs to dig more into the history back before the world war II or the era of history writings by THEM (?). Luckily, we still have many of our own scripts written in each of our traditional languages so we still know who we are without even need to read the history book which was written for purposes (?)
    Interesting fact:
We share similar traditional language to Hawaii, Fiji and most of the Polinesian countries, Suriname and also Madagascar.
