Yes, you can. But if two systems are not in synchronism then you need to change the parameters like phase, frequency and amplitude of voltage of any one generating system, in order to synchronize them. If the supply from at-least 1 out of any 2 different generation are not in your control then it is not possible to synchronize them.

i have done it for years with 2 volt meters and 2 light bulbs not hard.
